Qāf

1 قٓۚ وَٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ ٱلۡمَجِيدِqafققٓQaf.wal-qur'āniوالقرآنوَٱلْقُرْءَانِBy the Quran,l-majīdiالمجيدٱلْمَجِيدِthe Glorious.Qaf. By the Glorious Qur'an,Qāf[1]. By the Glorious Qur’an!Qāf.[1524] By the honored Qur’ān...[1525]Qaf: By the Glorious Qur'an (Thou art Allah's Messenger).
2 بَلۡ عَجِبُوٓاْ أَن جَآءَهُم مُّنذِرٞ مِّنۡهُمۡ فَقَالَ ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ هَٰذَا شَيۡءٌ عَجِيبٌbalبلبَلْNay,ʿajibūعجبواعَجِبُوٓاْthey wonderanأنأَنthatjāahumجاءهمجَآءَهُمhas come to themmundhirunمنذرمُّنذِرٌa warnermin'humمنهممِّنْهُمْfrom them.faqālaفقالفَقَالَSo sayl-kāfirūnaالكافرونٱلْكَٰفِرُونَthe disbelievers,hādhāهذاهَٰذَا"Thisshayonشيءشَىْءٌ(is) a thingʿajībunعجيبعَجِيبٌamazing.Nay, but they marvel that a warner of their own hath come unto them; and the disbelievers say: This is a strange thing:But they wonder that a warner has come to them from among themselves, so the disbelievers say, “This is something strange!But they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say, "This is an amazing thing.But they wonder that there has come to them a Warner from among themselves. So the Unbelievers say: "This is a wonderful thing!
3 أَءِذَا مِتۡنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابٗاۖ ذَٰلِكَ رَجۡعُۢ بَعِيدٞa-idhāأإذاأَءِذَاWhat! Whenmit'nāمتنامِتْنَاwe diewakunnāوكناوَكُنَّاand have becometurābanتراباتُرَابًاdust.dhālikaذلكذَٰلِكَThatrajʿunرجعرَجْعٌۢ(is) a returnbaʿīdunبعيدبَعِيدٌfar."When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be brought back again)? That would be a far return!What! Is it when we die and become dust [will we return to life]? That is a far-fetched return.”When we have died and have become dust, [we will return to life]? That is a distant [i.e., unlikely] return.""What! When we die and become dust, (shall we live again?) That is a (sort of) return far (from our understanding)."
4 قَدۡ عَلِمۡنَا مَا تَنقُصُ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ مِنۡهُمۡۖ وَعِندَنَا كِتَٰبٌ حَفِيظُۢqadقدقَدْCertainly,ʿalim'nāعلمناعَلِمْنَاWe knowمامَاwhattanquṣuتنقصتَنقُصُdiminishesl-arḍuالأرضٱلْأَرْضُthe earthmin'humمنهممِنْهُمْof them,waʿindanāوعندناوَعِندَنَاand with Uskitābunكتابكِتَٰبٌ(is) a Bookḥafīẓunحفيظحَفِيظٌۢguarded.We know that which the earth taketh of them, and with Us is a recording Book.We certainly know what the earth consumes of them [after their death], and with Us is a Preserved Record[2].We know what the earth diminishes [i.e., consumes] of them, and with Us is a retaining record.We already know how much of them the earth takes away: With Us is a record guarding (the full account).
5 بَلۡ كَذَّبُواْ بِٱلۡحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمۡ فَهُمۡ فِيٓ أَمۡرٖ مَّرِيجٍbalبلبَلْNay,kadhabūكذبواكَذَّبُواْthey deniedbil-ḥaqiبالحقبِٱلْحَقِّthe truthlammāلمالَمَّاwhenjāahumجاءهمجَآءَهُمْit came (to) them,fahumفهمفَهُمْso theyفيفِىٓ(are) inamrinأمرأَمْرٍa statemarījinمريجمَّرِيجٍconfused.Nay, but they have denied the truth when it came unto them, therefor they are now in troubled case.Rather they rejected the truth when it came to them, so they are in a state of confusion[3].But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition.But they deny the Truth when it comes to them: so they are in a confused state.
6 أَفَلَمۡ يَنظُرُوٓاْ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَوۡقَهُمۡ كَيۡفَ بَنَيۡنَٰهَا وَزَيَّنَّٰهَا وَمَا لَهَا مِن فُرُوجٖafalamأفلمأَفَلَمْThen do notyanẓurūينظروايَنظُرُوٓاْthey lookilāإلىإِلَىatl-samāiالسماءٱلسَّمَآءِthe skyfawqahumفوقهمفَوْقَهُمْabove them -kayfaكيفكَيْفَhowbanaynāhāبنيناهابَنَيْنَٰهَاWe structured itwazayyannāhāوزيناهاوَزَيَّنَّٰهَاand adorned itwamāوماوَمَاand notlahāلهالَهَاfor itminمنمِنanyfurūjinفروجفُرُوجٍrifts?Have they not then observed the sky above them, how We have constructed it and beautified it, and how there are no rifts therein?Have they not then looked at the sky above them – how We built it and adorned it [with stars], and it has no rifts?Have they not looked at the heaven above them - how We structured it and adorned it and [how] it has no rifts?Do they not look at the sky above them?- How We have made it and adorned it, and there are no flaws in it?
7 وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ مَدَدۡنَٰهَا وَأَلۡقَيۡنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِيَ وَأَنۢبَتۡنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوۡجِۭ بَهِيجٖwal-arḍaوالأرضوَٱلْأَرْضَAnd the earth,madadnāhāمددناهامَدَدْنَٰهَاWe have spread it outwa-alqaynāوألقيناوَأَلْقَيْنَاand castfīhāفيهافِيهَاthereinrawāsiyaرواسيرَوَٰسِىَfirmly set mountainswa-anbatnāوأنبتناوَأَنۢبَتْنَاand We made to growfīhāفيهافِيهَاthereinminمنمِنofkulliكلكُلِّeveryzawjinزوجزَوْجٍۭkindbahījinبهيجبَهِيجٍbeautiful,And the earth have We spread out, and have flung firm hills therein, and have caused of every lovely kind to grow thereon,And We have spread out the earth and set therein firm mountains, and caused to grow therein plants of every pleasant kind,And the earth - We spread it out and cast therein firmly set mountains and made grow therein [something] of every beautiful kind,And the earth- We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and produced therein every kind of beautiful growth (in pairs)-
8 تَبۡصِرَةٗ وَذِكۡرَىٰ لِكُلِّ عَبۡدٖ مُّنِيبٖtabṣiratanتبصرةتَبْصِرَةًGiving insightwadhik'rāوذكرىوَذِكْرَىٰand a reminderlikulliلكللِكُلِّfor everyʿabdinعبدعَبْدٍslavemunībinمنيبمُّنِيبٍwho turns.A vision and a reminder for every penitent slave.as a source of insight and a reminder to every slave who turns [to Allah].Giving insight and a reminder for every servant who turns [to Allāh].To be observed and commemorated by every devotee turning (to Allah).
9 وَنَزَّلۡنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءٗ مُّبَٰرَكٗا فَأَنۢبَتۡنَا بِهِۦ جَنَّٰتٖ وَحَبَّ ٱلۡحَصِيدِwanazzalnāونزلناوَنَزَّلْنَاAnd We have sent downminaمنمِنَfroml-samāiالسماءٱلسَّمَآءِthe skymāanماءمَآءًwatermubārakanمباركامُّبَٰرَكًاblessed,fa-anbatnāفأنبتنافَأَنۢبَتْنَاthen We made to growbihiبهبِهِۦtherebyjannātinجناتجَنَّٰتٍgardenswaḥabbaوحبوَحَبَّand grainl-ḥaṣīdiالحصيدٱلْحَصِيدِ(for) the harvest,And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops,And We send down from the sky blessed rain, with which We cause to grow gardens and grain for harvest,And We have sent down blessed rain from the sky and made grow thereby gardens and grain from the harvestAnd We send down from the sky rain charted with blessing, and We produce therewith gardens and Grain for harvests;
10 وَٱلنَّخۡلَ بَاسِقَٰتٖ لَّهَا طَلۡعٞ نَّضِيدٞwal-nakhlaوالنخلوَٱلنَّخْلَAnd the palms treesbāsiqātinباسقاتبَاسِقَٰتٍtall -lahāلهالَّهَاfor itṭalʿunطلعطَلْعٌ(are) layersnaḍīdunنضيدنَّضِيدٌarranged.And lofty date-palms with ranged clusters,and towering palm trees having clustered fruit,And lofty palm trees having fruit arranged in layers -And tall (and stately) palm-trees, with shoots of fruit-stalks, piled one over another;-
11 رِّزۡقٗا لِّلۡعِبَادِۖ وَأَحۡيَيۡنَا بِهِۦ بَلۡدَةٗ مَّيۡتٗاۚ كَذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡخُرُوجُriz'qanرزقارِّزْقًاA provisionlil'ʿibādiللعبادلِّلْعِبَادِfor the slaves,wa-aḥyaynāوأحييناوَأَحْيَيْنَاand We give lifebihiبهبِهِۦtherewithbaldatanبلدةبَلْدَةً(to) a landmaytanميتامَّيْتًاdead.kadhālikaكذلككَذَٰلِكَThusl-khurūjuالخروجٱلْخُرُوجُ(will be) the coming forth.Provision (made) for men; and therewith We quicken a dead land. Even so will be the resurrection of the dead.as a provision for people, and We revive thereby a dead land; likewise will be the resurrection.As provision for the servants, and We have given life thereby to a dead land. Thus is the emergence [i.e., resurrection].As sustenance for (Allah's) Servants;- and We give (new) life therewith to land that is dead: Thus will be the Resurrection.
12 كَذَّبَتۡ قَبۡلَهُمۡ قَوۡمُ نُوحٖ وَأَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلرَّسِّ وَثَمُودُkadhabatكذبتكَذَّبَتْDeniedqablahumقبلهمقَبْلَهُمْbefore themqawmuقومقَوْمُ(the) peoplenūḥinنوحنُوحٍ(of) Nuhwa-aṣḥābuوأصحابوَأَصْحَٰبُand (the) companionsl-rasiالرسٱلرَّسِّ(of) Ar-Raaswathamūduوثمودوَثَمُودُand Thamud,The folk of Noah denied (the truth) before them, and (so did) the dwellers at Ar-Rass and (the tribe of) Thamud,The people of Noah rejected [the truth] before them[4], as well as the companions of the Well[5] and Thamūd,The people of Noah denied before them,[1526] and the companions of the well[1527] and ThamūdBefore them was denied (the Hereafter) by the People of Noah, the Companions of the Rass, the Thamud,
13 وَعَادٞ وَفِرۡعَوۡنُ وَإِخۡوَٰنُ لُوطٖwaʿādunوعادوَعَادٌAnd Aadwafir'ʿawnuوفرعونوَفِرْعَوْنُand Firaunwa-ikh'wānuوإخوانوَإِخْوَٰنُand (the) brotherslūṭinلوطلُوطٍ(of) Lut,And (the tribe of) A'ad, and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot,and so did ‘Ād, Pharaoh, the people of Lot,And ʿAad and Pharaoh and the brothers [i.e., people] of LotThe 'Ad, Pharaoh, the brethren of Lut,
14 وَأَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡأَيۡكَةِ وَقَوۡمُ تُبَّعٖۚ كُلّٞ كَذَّبَ ٱلرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ وَعِيدِwa-aṣḥābuوأصحابوَأَصْحَٰبُAnd (the) companionsl-aykatiالأيكةٱلْأَيْكَةِ(of) the woodwaqawmuوقوموَقَوْمُand (the) peopletubbaʿinتبعتُبَّعٍ(of) Tubba.kullunكلكُلٌّAllkadhabaكذبكَذَّبَdeniedl-rusulaالرسلٱلرُّسُلَthe Messengers,faḥaqqaفحقفَحَقَّso was fulfilledwaʿīdiوعيدوَعِيدِMy Threat.And the dwellers in the wood, and the folk of Tubb'a: every one denied their messengers, therefor My threat took effect.and the dwellers of the Forest[6], and the people of Tubba‘[7]. All of them rejected the messengers, so My warning was fulfilled.And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubbaʿ. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled.The Companions of the Wood, and the People of Tubba'; each one (of them) rejected the messengers, and My warning was duly fulfilled (in them).
15 أَفَعَيِينَا بِٱلۡخَلۡقِ ٱلۡأَوَّلِۚ بَلۡ هُمۡ فِي لَبۡسٖ مِّنۡ خَلۡقٖ جَدِيدٖafaʿayīnāأفعييناأَفَعَيِينَاWere We then tiredbil-khalqiبالخلقبِٱلْخَلْقِwith the creationl-awaliالأولٱلْأَوَّلِthe first?balبلبَلْNay,humهمهُمْtheyفيفِى(are) inlabsinلبسلَبْسٍdoubtminمنمِّنْaboutkhalqinخلقخَلْقٍa creationjadīdinجديدجَدِيدٍnew.Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a new creation.Were We wearied by their first creation? No indeed, yet they are in confusion concerning the second creation.Did We fail in the first creation? But they are in confusion over a new creation.Were We then weary with the first Creation, that they should be in confused doubt about a new Creation?
16 وَلَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ وَنَعۡلَمُ مَا تُوَسۡوِسُ بِهِۦ نَفۡسُهُۥۖ وَنَحۡنُ أَقۡرَبُ إِلَيۡهِ مِنۡ حَبۡلِ ٱلۡوَرِيدِwalaqadولقدوَلَقَدْAnd certainlykhalaqnāخلقناخَلَقْنَاWe createdl-insānaالإنسانٱلْإِنسَٰنَmanwanaʿlamuونعلموَنَعْلَمُand We knowمامَاwhattuwaswisuتوسوستُوَسْوِسُwhispersbihiبهبِهِۦto himnafsuhuنفسهنَفْسُهُۥhis soul,wanaḥnuونحنوَنَحْنُand Weaqrabuأقربأَقْرَبُ(are) nearerilayhiإليهإِلَيْهِto himminمنمِنْthanḥabliحبلحَبْلِ(his) jugular vein.l-warīdiالوريدٱلْوَرِيدِ(his) jugular vein.We verily created man and We know what his soul whispereth to him, and We are nearer to him than his jugular vein.We have created man and know what his soul whispers within him, for We are closer to him than his jugular vein[8].And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer[1528] to him than [his] jugular vein.It was We Who created man, and We know what dark suggestions his soul makes to him: for We are nearer to him than (his) jugular vein.
17 إِذۡ يَتَلَقَّى ٱلۡمُتَلَقِّيَانِ عَنِ ٱلۡيَمِينِ وَعَنِ ٱلشِّمَالِ قَعِيدٞidhإذإِذْWhenyatalaqqāيتلقىيَتَلَقَّىreceivel-mutalaqiyāniالمتلقيانٱلْمُتَلَقِّيَانِthe two receiversʿaniعنعَنِonl-yamīniاليمينٱلْيَمِينِthe rightwaʿaniوعنوَعَنِand onl-shimāliالشمالٱلشِّمَالِthe leftqaʿīdunقعيدقَعِيدٌseated.When the two Receivers receive (him), seated on the right hand and on the left,When the two angel scribes, constantly accompanying him[9], one on the right, and the other on the left[10].When the two receivers [i.e., recording angels] receive,[1529] seated on the right and on the left.Behold, two (guardian angels) appointed to learn (his doings) learn (and noted them), one sitting on the right and one on the left.
18 مَّا يَلۡفِظُ مِن قَوۡلٍ إِلَّا لَدَيۡهِ رَقِيبٌ عَتِيدٞمامَّاNotyalfiẓuيلفظيَلْفِظُhe uttersminمنمِنanyqawlinقولقَوْلٍwordillāإلاإِلَّاbutladayhiلديهلَدَيْهِwith himraqībunرقيبرَقِيبٌ(is) an observerʿatīdunعتيدعَتِيدٌready.He uttereth no word but there is with him an observer ready.Not a single word he utters but there is with him a vigilant watcher, ready [to record it].He [i.e., man] utters no word except that with him is an observer prepared [to record].Not a word does he utter but there is a sentinel by him, ready (to note it).
19 وَجَآءَتۡ سَكۡرَةُ ٱلۡمَوۡتِ بِٱلۡحَقِّۖ ذَٰلِكَ مَا كُنتَ مِنۡهُ تَحِيدُwajāatوجاءتوَجَآءَتْAnd will comesakratuسكرةسَكْرَةُ(the) stuporl-mawtiالموتٱلْمَوْتِ(of) deathbil-ḥaqiبالحقبِٱلْحَقِّin truth,dhālikaذلكذَٰلِكَ"Thatمامَا(is) whatkuntaكنتكُنتَyou weremin'huمنهمِنْهُ[from it]taḥīduتحيدتَحِيدُavoiding."And the agony of death cometh in truth. (And it is said unto him): This is that which thou wast wont to shun.The throes of death will come with the truth[11]. This is what you were trying to avoid.And the intoxication of death will bring the truth; that is what you were trying to avoid.And the stupor of death will bring Truth (before his eyes): "This was the thing which thou wast trying to escape!"
20 وَنُفِخَ فِي ٱلصُّورِۚ ذَٰلِكَ يَوۡمُ ٱلۡوَعِيدِwanufikhaونفخوَنُفِخَAnd will be blownفيفِى[in]l-ṣūriالصورٱلصُّورِthe trumpet.dhālikaذلكذَٰلِكَThatyawmuيوميَوْمُ(is the) Dayl-waʿīdiالوعيدٱلْوَعِيدِ(of) the Warning.And the trumpet is blown. This is the threatened Day.And the Trumpet will be blown[12]; that is the Day of [the given] warning.And the Horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat.And the Trumpet shall be blown: that will be the Day whereof Warning (had been given).
21 وَجَآءَتۡ كُلُّ نَفۡسٖ مَّعَهَا سَآئِقٞ وَشَهِيدٞwajāatوجاءتوَجَآءَتْAnd will comekulluكلكُلُّeverynafsinنفسنَفْسٍsoul,maʿahāمعهامَّعَهَاwith itsāiqunسائقسَآئِقٌa driverwashahīdunوشهيدوَشَهِيدٌand a witness.And every soul cometh, along with it a driver and a witness.Everyone will come, accompanied by an angel to drive him and another to testify[13].And every soul will come, with it a driver and a witness.[1530]And there will come forth every soul: with each will be an (angel) to drive, and an (angel) to bear witness.
22 لَّقَدۡ كُنتَ فِي غَفۡلَةٖ مِّنۡ هَٰذَا فَكَشَفۡنَا عَنكَ غِطَآءَكَ فَبَصَرُكَ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ حَدِيدٞlaqadلقدلَّقَدْ"Certainlykuntaكنتكُنتَyou wereفيفِىinghaflatinغفلةغَفْلَةٍheedlessnessminمنمِّنْofhādhāهذاهَٰذَاthis.fakashafnāفكشفنافَكَشَفْنَاSo We have removedʿankaعنكعَنكَfrom youghiṭāakaغطاءكغِطَآءَكَyour cover,fabaṣarukaفبصركفَبَصَرُكَso your sightl-yawmaاليومٱلْيَوْمَtodayḥadīdunحديدحَدِيدٌ(is) sharp."(And unto the evil-doer it is said): Thou wast in heedlessness of this. Now We have removed from thee thy covering, and piercing is thy sight this day.“You were heedless of this; now We have removed your veil[14], so your vision is sharp Today.”[It will be said], "You were certainly in unmindfulness of this, and We have removed from you your cover,[1531] so your sight, this Day, is sharp."(It will be said:) "Thou wast heedless of this; now have We removed thy veil, and sharp is thy sight this Day!"
23 وَقَالَ قَرِينُهُۥ هَٰذَا مَا لَدَيَّ عَتِيدٌwaqālaوقالوَقَالَAnd (will) sayqarīnuhuقرينهقَرِينُهُۥhis companion,hādhāهذاهَٰذَا"Thisمامَا(is) whatladayyaلديلَدَىَّ(is) with meʿatīdunعتيدعَتِيدٌready."And (unto the evil-doer) his comrade saith: This is that which I have ready (as testimony).His angel-companion will say, “Here is the record ready with me.”And his companion, [the angel], will say, "This [record] is what is with me, prepared."And his Companion will say: "Here is (his Record) ready with me!"
24 أَلۡقِيَا فِي جَهَنَّمَ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ عَنِيدٖalqiyāألقياأَلْقِيَا"Throwفيفِىin (to)jahannamaجهنمجَهَنَّمَHellkullaكلكُلَّeverykaffārinكفاركَفَّارٍdisbelieverʿanīdinعنيدعَنِيدٍstubborn,(And it is said): Do ye twain hurl to hell each rebel ingrate,[It will be said to the two angels], “Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever,[Allāh will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever,(The sentence will be:) "Throw, throw into Hell every contumacious Rejecter (of Allah)!-
25 مَّنَّاعٖ لِّلۡخَيۡرِ مُعۡتَدٖ مُّرِيبٍmannāʿinمناعمَّنَّاعٍForbidderlil'khayriللخيرلِّلْخَيْرِof good,muʿ'tadinمعتدمُعْتَدٍtransgressormurībinمريبمُّرِيبٍdoubter,Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter,every withholder of good, transgressor, and doubter,Preventer of good, aggressor, and doubter,"Who forbade what was good, transgressed all bounds, cast doubts and suspicions;
26 ٱلَّذِي جَعَلَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَأَلۡقِيَاهُ فِي ٱلۡعَذَابِ ٱلشَّدِيدِalladhīالذيٱلَّذِىWhojaʿalaجعلجَعَلَmademaʿaمعمَعَwithl-lahiاللهٱللَّهِAllahilāhanإلهاإِلَٰهًاa godākharaآخرءَاخَرَanother;fa-alqiyāhuفألقياهفَأَلْقِيَاهُso throw himفيفِىin(to)l-ʿadhābiالعذابٱلْعَذَابِthe punishmentl-shadīdiالشديدٱلشَّدِيدِthe severe."Who setteth up another god along with Allah. Do ye twain hurl him to the dreadful doom.who set up with Allah another god. Throw him into the severe punishment.”Who made [as equal] with Allāh another deity; then throw him into the severe punishment.""Who set up another god beside Allah: Throw him into a severe penalty."
27 ۞ قَالَ قَرِينُهُۥ رَبَّنَا مَآ أَطۡغَيۡتُهُۥ وَلَٰكِن كَانَ فِي ضَلَٰلِۭ بَعِيدٖqālaقالقَالَWill sayqarīnuhuقرينهقَرِينُهُۥhis companion,rabbanāربنارَبَّنَا"Our Lord,مامَآnotaṭghaytuhuأطغيتهأَطْغَيْتُهُۥI made him transgress,walākinولكنوَلَٰكِنbutkānaكانكَانَhe wasفيفِىinḍalālinضلالضَلَٰلٍۭerrorbaʿīdinبعيدبَعِيدٍfar."His comrade saith: Our Lord! I did not cause him to rebel, but he was (himself) far gone in error.His [devil] companion will say, “Our Lord, I did not mislead him, but he himself was far astray.”His [devil] companion will say, "Our Lord, I did not make him transgress, but he [himself] was in extreme error."His Companion will say: "Our Lord! I did not make him transgress, but he was (himself) far astray."
28 قَالَ لَا تَخۡتَصِمُواْ لَدَيَّ وَقَدۡ قَدَّمۡتُ إِلَيۡكُم بِٱلۡوَعِيدِqālaقالقَالَHe will say,لالَا"(Do) nottakhtaṣimūتختصمواتَخْتَصِمُواْdisputeladayyaلديلَدَىَّ(in) My presencewaqadوقدوَقَدْand indeed,qaddamtuقدمتقَدَّمْتُI sent forthilaykumإليكمإِلَيْكُمto youbil-waʿīdiبالوعيدبِٱلْوَعِيدِthe Warning.He saith: Contend not in My presence, when I had already proffered unto you the warning.Allah will say, “Do not argue in My presence, for I had already given you the warning.[Allāh] will say, "Do not dispute before Me, while I had already presented to you the threat [i.e., warning].He will say: "Dispute not with each other in My Presence: I had already in advance sent you Warning.
29 مَا يُبَدَّلُ ٱلۡقَوۡلُ لَدَيَّ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ بِظَلَّٰمٖ لِّلۡعَبِيدِمامَاNotyubaddaluيبدليُبَدَّلُwill be changedl-qawluالقولٱلْقَوْلُthe wordladayyaلديلَدَىَّwith Me,wamāوماوَمَآand notanāأناأَنَا۠I Ambiẓallāminبظلامبِظَلَّٰمٍunjustlil'ʿabīdiللعبيدلِّلْعَبِيدِto My slaves."The sentence that cometh from Me cannot be changed, and I am in no wise a tyrant unto the slaves.My Word cannot be changed, nor am I unjust to My slaves.”The word [i.e., decree] will not be changed with Me, and never will I be unjust to the servants.""The Word changes not before Me, and I do not the least injustice to My Servants."
30 يَوۡمَ نَقُولُ لِجَهَنَّمَ هَلِ ٱمۡتَلَأۡتِ وَتَقُولُ هَلۡ مِن مَّزِيدٖyawmaيوميَوْمَ(The) DaynaqūluنقولنَقُولُWe will saylijahannamaلجهنملِجَهَنَّمَto Hell,haliهلهَلِ"Areim'talatiامتلأتٱمْتَلَأْتِyou filled?"wataqūluوتقولوَتَقُولُAnd it will say,halهلهَلْ"Areminمنمِن(there) anymazīdinمزيدمَّزِيدٍmore?"On the day when We say unto hell: Art thou filled? and it saith: Can there be more to come?[Beware of] the Day when We will say to Hell, “Have you reached your fill?” It will say, “Are there any more?”On the Day We will say to Hell, "Have you been filled?" and it will say, "Are there some more,"One Day We will ask Hell, "Art thou filled to the full?" It will say, "Are there any more (to come)?"
31 وَأُزۡلِفَتِ ٱلۡجَنَّةُ لِلۡمُتَّقِينَ غَيۡرَ بَعِيدٍwa-uz'lifatiوأزلفتوَأُزْلِفَتِAnd will be brought nearl-janatuالجنةٱلْجَنَّةُthe Paradiselil'muttaqīnaللمتقينلِلْمُتَّقِينَto the righteous,ghayraغيرغَيْرَnotbaʿīdinبعيدبَعِيدٍfar.And the Garden is brought nigh for those who kept from evil, no longer distant.Paradise will be brought near to the righteous, not far off.And Paradise will be brought near to the righteous, not far,And the Garden will be brought nigh to the Righteous,- no more a thing distant.
32 هَٰذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِكُلِّ أَوَّابٍ حَفِيظٖhādhāهذاهَٰذَا"Thisمامَا(is) whattūʿadūnaتوعدونتُوعَدُونَyou were promised,likulliلكللِكُلِّfor everyoneawwābinأوابأَوَّابٍwho turnsḥafīẓinحفيظحَفِيظٍ(and) who keeps,(And it is said): This is that which ye were promised. (It is) for every penitent and heedful one,[It will be said], “This is what you were promised; this is for everyone who constantly turned [to Allah] and was dutiful,[It will be said], "This is what you were promised - for every returner [to Allāh] and keeper [of His covenant].(A voice will say:) "This is what was promised for you,- for every one who turned (to Allah) in sincere repentance, who kept (His Law),
33 مَّنۡ خَشِيَ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنَ بِٱلۡغَيۡبِ وَجَآءَ بِقَلۡبٖ مُّنِيبٍmanمنمَّنْWhokhashiyaخشيخَشِىَfearedl-raḥmānaالرحمنٱلرَّحْمَٰنَthe Most Graciousbil-ghaybiبالغيببِٱلْغَيْبِin the unseen,wajāaوجاءوَجَآءَand camebiqalbinبقلببِقَلْبٍwith a heartmunībinمنيبمُّنِيبٍreturning.Who feareth the Beneficent in secret and cometh with a contrite heart.who feared the Most Compassionate unseen[15], and came with a devoted heart.Who feared the Most Merciful in the unseen and came with a heart returning [in repentance]."Who feared (Allah) Most Gracious Unseen, and brought a heart turned in devotion (to Him):
34 ٱدۡخُلُوهَا بِسَلَٰمٖۖ ذَٰلِكَ يَوۡمُ ٱلۡخُلُودِud'khulūhāادخلوهاٱدْخُلُوهَاEnter itbisalāminبسلامبِسَلَٰمٍin peace.dhālikaذلكذَٰلِكَThatyawmuيوميَوْمُ(is) a Dayl-khulūdiالخلودٱلْخُلُودِ(of) Eternity."Enter it in peace. This is the day of immortality.Enter it in peace. This is the Day of eternity.”Enter it in peace. This is the Day of Eternity.""Enter ye therein in Peace and Security; this is a Day of Eternal Life!"
35 لَهُم مَّا يَشَآءُونَ فِيهَا وَلَدَيۡنَا مَزِيدٞlahumلهملَهُمFor themمامَّاwhateveryashāūnaيشاءونيَشَآءُونَthey wishfīhāفيهافِيهَاthereinwaladaynāولديناوَلَدَيْنَاand with Usmazīdunمزيدمَزِيدٌ(is) more.There they have all that they desire, and there is more with Us.They will have therein all what they wish for, and We have yet more[16].They will have whatever they wish therein, and with Us is more.There will be for them therein all that they wish,- and more besides in Our Presence.
36 وَكَمۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَا قَبۡلَهُم مِّن قَرۡنٍ هُمۡ أَشَدُّ مِنۡهُم بَطۡشٗا فَنَقَّبُواْ فِي ٱلۡبِلَٰدِ هَلۡ مِن مَّحِيصٍwakamوكموَكَمْAnd how manyahlaknāأهلكناأَهْلَكْنَاWe destroyedqablahumقبلهمقَبْلَهُمbefore themminمنمِّنofqarninقرنقَرْنٍa generation,humهمهُمْtheyashadduأشدأَشَدُّ(were) strongermin'humمنهممِنْهُمthan thembaṭshanبطشابَطْشًا(in) power.fanaqqabūفنقبوافَنَقَّبُواْso they exploredفيفِىthroughoutl-bilādiالبلادٱلْبِلَٰدِthe lands.halهلهَلْIs (there)minمنمِنanymaḥīṣinمحيصمَّحِيصٍplace of escape?And how many a generation We destroyed before them, who were mightier than these in prowess so that they overran the lands! Had they any place of refuge (when the judgment came)?How many nations We destroyed before these [Makkans] who were stronger than them in might! They sought refuge in the land. Did they find any escape?And how many a generation before them did We destroy who were greater than them in [striking] power and had explored throughout the lands. Is there any place of escape?But how many generations before them did We destroy (for their sins),- stronger in power than they? Then did they wander through the land: was there any place of escape (for them)?
37 إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَذِكۡرَىٰ لِمَن كَانَ لَهُۥ قَلۡبٌ أَوۡ أَلۡقَى ٱلسَّمۡعَ وَهُوَ شَهِيدٞinnaإنإِنَّIndeed,فيفِىindhālikaذلكذَٰلِكَthatladhik'rāلذكرىلَذِكْرَىٰsurely, is a reminderlimanلمنلِمَنfor (one) who,kānaكانكَانَis -lahuلهلَهُۥfor himqalbunقلبقَلْبٌa heartawأوأَوْoralqāألقىأَلْقَى(who) gives earl-samʿaالسمعٱلسَّمْعَ(who) gives earwahuwaوهووَهُوَwhile heshahīdunشهيدشَهِيدٌ(is) a witness.Lo! therein verily is a reminder for him who hath a heart, or giveth ear with full intelligence.Indeed, in that is a reminder for anyone who has a [mindful] heart or lends an attentive ear.Indeed in that is a reminder for whoever has a heart or who listens while he is present [in mind].Verily in this is a Message for any that has a heart and understanding or who gives ear and earnestly witnesses (the truth).
38 وَلَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٖ وَمَا مَسَّنَا مِن لُّغُوبٖwalaqadولقدوَلَقَدْAnd certainly,khalaqnāخلقناخَلَقْنَاWe createdl-samāwātiالسماواتٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavenswal-arḍaوالأرضوَٱلْأَرْضَand the earthwamāوماوَمَاand whateverbaynahumāبينهمابَيْنَهُمَا(is) between both of themفيفِىinsittatiستةسِتَّةِsixayyāminأيامأَيَّامٍperiods,wamāوماوَمَاand (did) notmassanāمسنامَسَّنَاtouch Usminمنمِنanylughūbinلغوبلُّغُوبٍfatigue.And verily We created the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, in six Days, and naught of weariness touched Us.Indeed, We created the heavens and earth and all that is between them in six days, and no weariness touched Us[17].And We did certainly create the heavens and earth and what is between them in six days, and there touched Us no weariness.We created the heavens and the earth and all between them in Six Days, nor did any sense of weariness touch Us.
39 فَٱصۡبِرۡ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّكَ قَبۡلَ طُلُوعِ ٱلشَّمۡسِ وَقَبۡلَ ٱلۡغُرُوبِfa-iṣ'birفاصبرفَٱصْبِرْSo be patientʿalāعلىعَلَىٰoverمامَاwhatyaqūlūnaيقولونيَقُولُونَthey saywasabbiḥوسبحوَسَبِّحْand glorifybiḥamdiبحمدبِحَمْدِ(the) praiserabbikaربكرَبِّكَ(of) your Lord,qablaقبلقَبْلَbeforeṭulūʿiطلوعطُلُوعِ(the) risingl-shamsiالشمسٱلشَّمْسِ(of) the sunwaqablaوقبلوَقَبْلَand beforel-ghurūbiالغروبٱلْغُرُوبِthe setting,Therefor (O Muhammad) bear with what they say, and hymn the praise of thy Lord before the rising and before the setting of the sun;So bear patiently [O Prophet] what they say, and glorify the praise of your Lord before sunrise and before sunset[18].So be patient, [O Muḥammad], over what they say and exalt [Allāh] with praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting,Bear, then, with patience, all that they say, and celebrate the praises of thy Lord, before the rising of the sun and before (its) setting.
40 وَمِنَ ٱلَّيۡلِ فَسَبِّحۡهُ وَأَدۡبَٰرَ ٱلسُّجُودِwaminaومنوَمِنَAnd ofal-layliالليلٱلَّيْلِthe nightfasabbiḥ'huفسبحهفَسَبِّحْهُglorify Himwa-adbāraوأدباروَأَدْبَٰرَand afterl-sujūdiالسجودٱلسُّجُودِthe prostration.And in the night-time hymn His praise, and after the (prescribed) prostrations.And glorify Him in the night[19] and after the prayers.And [in part] of the night exalt Him and after prostration [i.e., prayer].And during part of the night, (also,) celebrate His praises, and (so likewise) after the postures of adoration.
41 وَٱسۡتَمِعۡ يَوۡمَ يُنَادِ ٱلۡمُنَادِ مِن مَّكَانٖ قَرِيبٖwa-is'tamiʿواستمعوَٱسْتَمِعْAnd listen!yawmaيوميَوْمَ(The) Dayyunādiيناديُنَادِwill calll-munādiالمنادٱلْمُنَادِthe callerminمنمِنfrommakāninمكانمَّكَانٍa placeqarībinقريبقَرِيبٍnear,And listen on the day when the crier crieth from a near place,And listen! On the Day when the Caller will call out from a nearby place[20],And listen on the Day when the Caller[1532] will call out from a place that is near -And listen for the Day when the Caller will call out from a place quiet near,-
42 يَوۡمَ يَسۡمَعُونَ ٱلصَّيۡحَةَ بِٱلۡحَقِّۚ ذَٰلِكَ يَوۡمُ ٱلۡخُرُوجِyawmaيوميَوْمَ(The) Dayyasmaʿūnaيسمعونيَسْمَعُونَthey will hearl-ṣayḥataالصيحةٱلصَّيْحَةَthe Blastbil-ḥaqiبالحقبِٱلْحَقِّin truth.dhālikaذلكذَٰلِكَThatyawmuيوميَوْمُ(is the) Dayl-khurūjiالخروجٱلْخُرُوجِ(of) coming forth.The day when they will hear the (Awful) Cry in truth. That is the day of coming forth (from the graves).the Day when they will hear the Blast [of the second Trumpet] in truth[21]. That is the Day of Resurrection.The Day they will hear the blast [of the Horn] in truth. That is the Day of Emergence [from the graves].The Day when they will hear a (mighty) Blast in (very) truth: that will be the Day of Resurrection.
43 إِنَّا نَحۡنُ نُحۡيِۦ وَنُمِيتُ وَإِلَيۡنَا ٱلۡمَصِيرُinnāإناإِنَّاIndeed, Wenaḥnuنحننَحْنُ[We]nuḥ'yīنحيينُحْىِۦ[We] give lifewanumītuونميتوَنُمِيتُand [We] cause death,wa-ilaynāوإليناوَإِلَيْنَاand to Usl-maṣīruالمصيرٱلْمَصِيرُ(is) the final return.Lo! We it is Who quicken and give death, and unto Us is the journeying.Indeed, it is We Who give life and cause death, and to Us is the final return.Indeed, it is We who give life and cause death, and to Us is the destinationVerily it is We Who give Life and Death; and to Us is the Final Goal-
44 يَوۡمَ تَشَقَّقُ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ عَنۡهُمۡ سِرَاعٗاۚ ذَٰلِكَ حَشۡرٌ عَلَيۡنَا يَسِيرٞyawmaيوميَوْمَ(The) Daytashaqqaquتشققتَشَقَّقُwill splitl-arḍuالأرضٱلْأَرْضُthe earthʿanhumعنهمعَنْهُمْfrom them,sirāʿanسراعاسِرَاعًاhurrying.dhālikaذلكذَٰلِكَThatḥashrunحشرحَشْرٌ(is) a gatheringʿalaynāعليناعَلَيْنَاfor Usyasīrunيسيريَسِيرٌeasy.On the day when the earth splitteth asunder from them, hastening forth (they come). That is a gathering easy for Us (to make).On the Day when the earth will be rent asunder for them as they hasten forth [from their graves]; that is an easy gathering for Us.On the Day the earth breaks away from them [and they emerge] rapidly; that is a gathering easy for Us.The Day when the Earth will be rent asunder, from (men) hurrying out: that will be a gathering together,- quite easy for Us.
45 نَّحۡنُ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا يَقُولُونَۖ وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَيۡهِم بِجَبَّارٖۖ فَذَكِّرۡ بِٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ مَن يَخَافُ وَعِيدِnaḥnuنحننَّحْنُWeaʿlamuأعلمأَعْلَمُknow bestbimāبمابِمَا[of] whatyaqūlūnaيقولونيَقُولُونَthey say,wamāوماوَمَآand notantaأنتأَنتَ(are) youʿalayhimعليهمعَلَيْهِمover thembijabbārinبجباربِجَبَّارٍthe one to compel.fadhakkirفذكرفَذَكِّرْBut remindbil-qur'āniبالقرآنبِٱلْقُرْءَانِwith the QuranmanمنمَنwhoeveryakhāfuيخافيَخَافُfearswaʿīdiوعيدوَعِيدِMy threat.We are Best Aware of what they say, and thou (O Muhammad) art in no wise a compeller over them. But warn by the Qur'an him who feareth My threat.We know best what they say, and you are not there to compel them to believe. But remind with the Qur’an those who fear My warning.We are most knowing of what they say, and you are not over them a tyrant.[1533] But remind by the Qur’ān whoever fears My threat.We know best what they say; and thou art not one to overawe them by force. So admonish with the Qur'an such as fear My Warning!
1 ق وَالْقُرْآنِ الْمَجِيدِ
2 بَلْ عَجِبُوا أَن جَاءَهُم مُّنذِرٌ مِّنْهُمْ فَقَالَ الْكَافِرُونَ هَٰذَا شَيْءٌ عَجِيبٌ
3 أَإِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا ذَٰلِكَ رَجْعٌ بَعِيدٌ
4 قَدْ عَلِمْنَا مَا تَنقُصُ الْأَرْضُ مِنْهُمْ وَعِندَنَا كِتَابٌ حَفِيظٌ
5 بَلْ كَذَّبُوا بِالْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ فَهُمْ فِي أَمْرٍ مَّرِيجٍ
6 أَفَلَمْ يَنظُرُوا إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَوْقَهُمْ كَيْفَ بَنَيْنَاهَا وَزَيَّنَّاهَا وَمَا لَهَا مِن فُرُوجٍ
7 وَالْأَرْضَ مَدَدْنَاهَا وَأَلْقَيْنَا فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ وَأَنبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍ بَهِيجٍ
8 تَبْصِرَةً وَذِكْرَىٰ لِكُلِّ عَبْدٍ مُّنِيبٍ
9 وَنَزَّلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً مُّبَارَكًا فَأَنبَتْنَا بِهِ جَنَّاتٍ وَحَبَّ الْحَصِيدِ
10 وَالنَّخْلَ بَاسِقَاتٍ لَّهَا طَلْعٌ نَّضِيدٌ
11 رِّزْقًا لِّلْعِبَادِ وَأَحْيَيْنَا بِهِ بَلْدَةً مَّيْتًا كَذَٰلِكَ الْخُرُوجُ
12 كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَأَصْحَابُ الرَّسِّ وَثَمُودُ
13 وَعَادٌ وَفِرْعَوْنُ وَإِخْوَانُ لُوطٍ
14 وَأَصْحَابُ الْأَيْكَةِ وَقَوْمُ تُبَّعٍ كُلٌّ كَذَّبَ الرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ وَعِيدِ
15 أَفَعَيِينَا بِالْخَلْقِ الْأَوَّلِ بَلْ هُمْ فِي لَبْسٍ مِّنْ خَلْقٍ جَدِيدٍ
16 وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنسَانَ وَنَعْلَمُ مَا تُوَسْوِسُ بِهِ نَفْسُهُ وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ حَبْلِ الْوَرِيدِ
17 إِذْ يَتَلَقَّى الْمُتَلَقِّيَانِ عَنِ الْيَمِينِ وَعَنِ الشِّمَالِ قَعِيدٌ
18 مَّا يَلْفِظُ مِن قَوْلٍ إِلَّا لَدَيْهِ رَقِيبٌ عَتِيدٌ
19 وَجَاءَتْ سَكْرَةُ الْمَوْتِ بِالْحَقِّ ذَٰلِكَ مَا كُنتَ مِنْهُ تَحِيدُ
20 وَنُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمُ الْوَعِيدِ
21 وَجَاءَتْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّعَهَا سَائِقٌ وَشَهِيدٌ
22 لَّقَدْ كُنتَ فِي غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ هَٰذَا فَكَشَفْنَا عَنكَ غِطَاءَكَ فَبَصَرُكَ الْيَوْمَ حَدِيدٌ
23 وَقَالَ قَرِينُهُ هَٰذَا مَا لَدَيَّ عَتِيدٌ
24 أَلْقِيَا فِي جَهَنَّمَ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ عَنِيدٍ
25 مَّنَّاعٍ لِّلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَدٍ مُّرِيبٍ
26 الَّذِي جَعَلَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ فَأَلْقِيَاهُ فِي الْعَذَابِ الشَّدِيدِ
27 ۞ قَالَ قَرِينُهُ رَبَّنَا مَا أَطْغَيْتُهُ وَلَٰكِن كَانَ فِي ضَلَالٍ بَعِيدٍ
28 قَالَ لَا تَخْتَصِمُوا لَدَيَّ وَقَدْ قَدَّمْتُ إِلَيْكُم بِالْوَعِيدِ
29 مَا يُبَدَّلُ الْقَوْلُ لَدَيَّ وَمَا أَنَا بِظَلَّامٍ لِّلْعَبِيدِ
30 يَوْمَ نَقُولُ لِجَهَنَّمَ هَلِ امْتَلَأْتِ وَتَقُولُ هَلْ مِن مَّزِيدٍ
31 وَأُزْلِفَتِ الْجَنَّةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ غَيْرَ بَعِيدٍ
32 هَٰذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِكُلِّ أَوَّابٍ حَفِيظٍ
33 مَّنْ خَشِيَ الرَّحْمَٰنَ بِالْغَيْبِ وَجَاءَ بِقَلْبٍ مُّنِيبٍ
34 ادْخُلُوهَا بِسَلَامٍ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمُ الْخُلُودِ
35 لَهُم مَّا يَشَاءُونَ فِيهَا وَلَدَيْنَا مَزِيدٌ
36 وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُم بَطْشًا فَنَقَّبُوا فِي الْبِلَادِ هَلْ مِن مَّحِيصٍ
37 إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَذِكْرَىٰ لِمَن كَانَ لَهُ قَلْبٌ أَوْ أَلْقَى السَّمْعَ وَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ
38 وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ وَمَا مَسَّنَا مِن لُّغُوبٍ
39 فَاصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ الْغُرُوبِ
40 وَمِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ وَأَدْبَارَ السُّجُودِ
41 وَاسْتَمِعْ يَوْمَ يُنَادِ الْمُنَادِ مِن مَّكَانٍ قَرِيبٍ
42 يَوْمَ يَسْمَعُونَ الصَّيْحَةَ بِالْحَقِّ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمُ الْخُرُوجِ
43 إِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْيِي وَنُمِيتُ وَإِلَيْنَا الْمَصِيرُ
44 يَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ الْأَرْضُ عَنْهُمْ سِرَاعًا ذَٰلِكَ حَشْرٌ عَلَيْنَا يَسِيرٌ
45 نَّحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ وَمَا أَنتَ عَلَيْهِم بِجَبَّارٍ فَذَكِّرْ بِالْقُرْآنِ مَن يَخَافُ وَعِيدِ
1 قٓۚ وَٱلْقُرْءَانِ ٱلْمَجِيدِqafققٓQaf.wal-qur'āniوالقرآنوَٱلْقُرْءَانِBy the Quran,l-majīdiالمجيدٱلْمَجِيدِthe Glorious.Qaf. By the Glorious Qur'an,Qāf[1]. By the Glorious Qur’an!Qāf.[1524] By the honored Qur’ān...[1525]Qaf: By the Glorious Qur'an (Thou art Allah's Messenger).
2 بَلْ عَجِبُوٓاْ أَن جَآءَهُم مُّنذِرَ مِّنْهُمْ فَقَالَ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ هَٰذَا شَيْءٌ عَجِيبٌbalبلبَلْNay,ʿajibūعجبواعَجِبُوٓاْthey wonderanأنأَنthatjāahumجاءهمجَآءَهُمhas come to themmundhirunمنذرمُّنذِرٌa warnermin'humمنهممِّنْهُمْfrom them.faqālaفقالفَقَالَSo sayl-kāfirūnaالكافرونٱلْكَٰفِرُونَthe disbelievers,hādhāهذاهَٰذَا"Thisshayonشيءشَىْءٌ(is) a thingʿajībunعجيبعَجِيبٌamazing.Nay, but they marvel that a warner of their own hath come unto them; and the disbelievers say: This is a strange thing:But they wonder that a warner has come to them from among themselves, so the disbelievers say, “This is something strange!But they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say, "This is an amazing thing.But they wonder that there has come to them a Warner from among themselves. So the Unbelievers say: "This is a wonderful thing!
3 أَءِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابٗاۖ ذَٰلِكَ رَجْعُۢ بَعِيدَa-idhāأإذاأَءِذَاWhat! Whenmit'nāمتنامِتْنَاwe diewakunnāوكناوَكُنَّاand have becometurābanتراباتُرَابًاdust.dhālikaذلكذَٰلِكَThatrajʿunرجعرَجْعٌۢ(is) a returnbaʿīdunبعيدبَعِيدٌfar."When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be brought back again)? That would be a far return!What! Is it when we die and become dust [will we return to life]? That is a far-fetched return.”When we have died and have become dust, [we will return to life]? That is a distant [i.e., unlikely] return.""What! When we die and become dust, (shall we live again?) That is a (sort of) return far (from our understanding)."
4 قَدْ عَلِمْنَا مَا تَنقُصُ ٱلْأَرْضُ مِنْهُمْۖ وَعِندَنَا كِتَٰبٌ حَفِيظُۢqadقدقَدْCertainly,ʿalim'nāعلمناعَلِمْنَاWe knowمامَاwhattanquṣuتنقصتَنقُصُdiminishesl-arḍuالأرضٱلْأَرْضُthe earthmin'humمنهممِنْهُمْof them,waʿindanāوعندناوَعِندَنَاand with Uskitābunكتابكِتَٰبٌ(is) a Bookḥafīẓunحفيظحَفِيظٌۢguarded.We know that which the earth taketh of them, and with Us is a recording Book.We certainly know what the earth consumes of them [after their death], and with Us is a Preserved Record[2].We know what the earth diminishes [i.e., consumes] of them, and with Us is a retaining record.We already know how much of them the earth takes away: With Us is a record guarding (the full account).
5 بَلْ كَذَّبُواْ بِٱلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمْ فَهُمْ فِيٓ أَمْرٖ مَّرِيجٍbalبلبَلْNay,kadhabūكذبواكَذَّبُواْthey deniedbil-ḥaqiبالحقبِٱلْحَقِّthe truthlammāلمالَمَّاwhenjāahumجاءهمجَآءَهُمْit came (to) them,fahumفهمفَهُمْso theyفيفِىٓ(are) inamrinأمرأَمْرٍa statemarījinمريجمَّرِيجٍconfused.Nay, but they have denied the truth when it came unto them, therefor they are now in troubled case.Rather they rejected the truth when it came to them, so they are in a state of confusion[3].But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition.But they deny the Truth when it comes to them: so they are in a confused state.
6 أَفَلَمْ يَنظُرُوٓاْ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَوْقَهُمْ كَيْفَ بَنَيْنَٰهَا وَزَيَّنَّٰهَا وَمَا لَهَا مِن فُرُوجٖafalamأفلمأَفَلَمْThen do notyanẓurūينظروايَنظُرُوٓاْthey lookilāإلىإِلَىatl-samāiالسماءٱلسَّمَآءِthe skyfawqahumفوقهمفَوْقَهُمْabove them -kayfaكيفكَيْفَhowbanaynāhāبنيناهابَنَيْنَٰهَاWe structured itwazayyannāhāوزيناهاوَزَيَّنَّٰهَاand adorned itwamāوماوَمَاand notlahāلهالَهَاfor itminمنمِنanyfurūjinفروجفُرُوجٍrifts?Have they not then observed the sky above them, how We have constructed it and beautified it, and how there are no rifts therein?Have they not then looked at the sky above them – how We built it and adorned it [with stars], and it has no rifts?Have they not looked at the heaven above them - how We structured it and adorned it and [how] it has no rifts?Do they not look at the sky above them?- How We have made it and adorned it, and there are no flaws in it?
7 وَٱلْأَرْضَ مَدَدْنَٰهَا وَأَلْقَيْنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِيَ وَأَنۢبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوْجِۭ بَهِيجٖwal-arḍaوالأرضوَٱلْأَرْضَAnd the earth,madadnāhāمددناهامَدَدْنَٰهَاWe have spread it outwa-alqaynāوألقيناوَأَلْقَيْنَاand castfīhāفيهافِيهَاthereinrawāsiyaرواسيرَوَٰسِىَfirmly set mountainswa-anbatnāوأنبتناوَأَنۢبَتْنَاand We made to growfīhāفيهافِيهَاthereinminمنمِنofkulliكلكُلِّeveryzawjinزوجزَوْجٍۭkindbahījinبهيجبَهِيجٍbeautiful,And the earth have We spread out, and have flung firm hills therein, and have caused of every lovely kind to grow thereon,And We have spread out the earth and set therein firm mountains, and caused to grow therein plants of every pleasant kind,And the earth - We spread it out and cast therein firmly set mountains and made grow therein [something] of every beautiful kind,And the earth- We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and produced therein every kind of beautiful growth (in pairs)-
8 تَبْصِرَةٗ وَذِكْرَىٰ لِكُلِّ عَبْدٖ مُّنِيبٖtabṣiratanتبصرةتَبْصِرَةًGiving insightwadhik'rāوذكرىوَذِكْرَىٰand a reminderlikulliلكللِكُلِّfor everyʿabdinعبدعَبْدٍslavemunībinمنيبمُّنِيبٍwho turns.A vision and a reminder for every penitent slave.as a source of insight and a reminder to every slave who turns [to Allah].Giving insight and a reminder for every servant who turns [to Allāh].To be observed and commemorated by every devotee turning (to Allah).
9 وَنَزَّلْنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءٗ مُّبَٰرَكٗا فَأَنۢبَتْنَا بِهِۦ جَنَّٰتٖ وَحَبَّ ٱلْحَصِيدِwanazzalnāونزلناوَنَزَّلْنَاAnd We have sent downminaمنمِنَfroml-samāiالسماءٱلسَّمَآءِthe skymāanماءمَآءًwatermubārakanمباركامُّبَٰرَكًاblessed,fa-anbatnāفأنبتنافَأَنۢبَتْنَاthen We made to growbihiبهبِهِۦtherebyjannātinجناتجَنَّٰتٍgardenswaḥabbaوحبوَحَبَّand grainl-ḥaṣīdiالحصيدٱلْحَصِيدِ(for) the harvest,And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops,And We send down from the sky blessed rain, with which We cause to grow gardens and grain for harvest,And We have sent down blessed rain from the sky and made grow thereby gardens and grain from the harvestAnd We send down from the sky rain charted with blessing, and We produce therewith gardens and Grain for harvests;
10 وَٱلنَّخْلَ بَاسِقَٰتٖ لَّهَا طَلْعَ نَّضِيدَwal-nakhlaوالنخلوَٱلنَّخْلَAnd the palms treesbāsiqātinباسقاتبَاسِقَٰتٍtall -lahāلهالَّهَاfor itṭalʿunطلعطَلْعٌ(are) layersnaḍīdunنضيدنَّضِيدٌarranged.And lofty date-palms with ranged clusters,and towering palm trees having clustered fruit,And lofty palm trees having fruit arranged in layers -And tall (and stately) palm-trees, with shoots of fruit-stalks, piled one over another;-
11 رِّزْقٗا لِّلْعِبَادِۖ وَأَحْيَيْنَا بِهِۦ بَلْدَةٗ مَّيْتٗاۚ كَذَٰلِكَ ٱلْخُرُوجُriz'qanرزقارِّزْقًاA provisionlil'ʿibādiللعبادلِّلْعِبَادِfor the slaves,wa-aḥyaynāوأحييناوَأَحْيَيْنَاand We give lifebihiبهبِهِۦtherewithbaldatanبلدةبَلْدَةً(to) a landmaytanميتامَّيْتًاdead.kadhālikaكذلككَذَٰلِكَThusl-khurūjuالخروجٱلْخُرُوجُ(will be) the coming forth.Provision (made) for men; and therewith We quicken a dead land. Even so will be the resurrection of the dead.as a provision for people, and We revive thereby a dead land; likewise will be the resurrection.As provision for the servants, and We have given life thereby to a dead land. Thus is the emergence [i.e., resurrection].As sustenance for (Allah's) Servants;- and We give (new) life therewith to land that is dead: Thus will be the Resurrection.
12 كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٖ وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلرَّسِّ وَثَمُودُkadhabatكذبتكَذَّبَتْDeniedqablahumقبلهمقَبْلَهُمْbefore themqawmuقومقَوْمُ(the) peoplenūḥinنوحنُوحٍ(of) Nuhwa-aṣḥābuوأصحابوَأَصْحَٰبُand (the) companionsl-rasiالرسٱلرَّسِّ(of) Ar-Raaswathamūduوثمودوَثَمُودُand Thamud,The folk of Noah denied (the truth) before them, and (so did) the dwellers at Ar-Rass and (the tribe of) Thamud,The people of Noah rejected [the truth] before them[4], as well as the companions of the Well[5] and Thamūd,The people of Noah denied before them,[1526] and the companions of the well[1527] and ThamūdBefore them was denied (the Hereafter) by the People of Noah, the Companions of the Rass, the Thamud,
13 وَعَادَ وَفِرْعَوْنُ وَإِخْوَٰنُ لُوطٖwaʿādunوعادوَعَادٌAnd Aadwafir'ʿawnuوفرعونوَفِرْعَوْنُand Firaunwa-ikh'wānuوإخوانوَإِخْوَٰنُand (the) brotherslūṭinلوطلُوطٍ(of) Lut,And (the tribe of) A'ad, and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot,and so did ‘Ād, Pharaoh, the people of Lot,And ʿAad and Pharaoh and the brothers [i.e., people] of LotThe 'Ad, Pharaoh, the brethren of Lut,
14 وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْأَيْكَةِ وَقَوْمُ تُبَّعٖۚ كُلَّ كَذَّبَ ٱلرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ وَعِيدِwa-aṣḥābuوأصحابوَأَصْحَٰبُAnd (the) companionsl-aykatiالأيكةٱلْأَيْكَةِ(of) the woodwaqawmuوقوموَقَوْمُand (the) peopletubbaʿinتبعتُبَّعٍ(of) Tubba.kullunكلكُلٌّAllkadhabaكذبكَذَّبَdeniedl-rusulaالرسلٱلرُّسُلَthe Messengers,faḥaqqaفحقفَحَقَّso was fulfilledwaʿīdiوعيدوَعِيدِMy Threat.And the dwellers in the wood, and the folk of Tubb'a: every one denied their messengers, therefor My threat took effect.and the dwellers of the Forest[6], and the people of Tubba‘[7]. All of them rejected the messengers, so My warning was fulfilled.And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubbaʿ. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled.The Companions of the Wood, and the People of Tubba'; each one (of them) rejected the messengers, and My warning was duly fulfilled (in them).
15 أَفَعَيِينَا بِٱلْخَلْقِ ٱلْأَوَّلِۚ بَلْ هُمْ فِي لَبْسٖ مِّنْ خَلْقٖ جَدِيدٖafaʿayīnāأفعييناأَفَعَيِينَاWere We then tiredbil-khalqiبالخلقبِٱلْخَلْقِwith the creationl-awaliالأولٱلْأَوَّلِthe first?balبلبَلْNay,humهمهُمْtheyفيفِى(are) inlabsinلبسلَبْسٍdoubtminمنمِّنْaboutkhalqinخلقخَلْقٍa creationjadīdinجديدجَدِيدٍnew.Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a new creation.Were We wearied by their first creation? No indeed, yet they are in confusion concerning the second creation.Did We fail in the first creation? But they are in confusion over a new creation.Were We then weary with the first Creation, that they should be in confused doubt about a new Creation?
16 وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ وَنَعْلَمُ مَا تُوَسْوِسُ بِهِۦ نَفْسُهُۖ وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ حَبْلِ ٱلْوَرِيدِwalaqadولقدوَلَقَدْAnd certainlykhalaqnāخلقناخَلَقْنَاWe createdl-insānaالإنسانٱلْإِنسَٰنَmanwanaʿlamuونعلموَنَعْلَمُand We knowمامَاwhattuwaswisuتوسوستُوَسْوِسُwhispersbihiبهبِهِۦto himnafsuhuنفسهنَفْسُهُhis soul,wanaḥnuونحنوَنَحْنُand Weaqrabuأقربأَقْرَبُ(are) nearerilayhiإليهإِلَيْهِto himminمنمِنْthanḥabliحبلحَبْلِ(his) jugular vein.l-warīdiالوريدٱلْوَرِيدِ(his) jugular vein.We verily created man and We know what his soul whispereth to him, and We are nearer to him than his jugular vein.We have created man and know what his soul whispers within him, for We are closer to him than his jugular vein[8].And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer[1528] to him than [his] jugular vein.It was We Who created man, and We know what dark suggestions his soul makes to him: for We are nearer to him than (his) jugular vein.
17 إِذْ يَتَلَقَّى ٱلْمُتَلَقِّيَانِ عَنِ ٱلْيَمِينِ وَعَنِ ٱلشِّمَالِ قَعِيدَidhإذإِذْWhenyatalaqqāيتلقىيَتَلَقَّىreceivel-mutalaqiyāniالمتلقيانٱلْمُتَلَقِّيَانِthe two receiversʿaniعنعَنِonl-yamīniاليمينٱلْيَمِينِthe rightwaʿaniوعنوَعَنِand onl-shimāliالشمالٱلشِّمَالِthe leftqaʿīdunقعيدقَعِيدٌseated.When the two Receivers receive (him), seated on the right hand and on the left,When the two angel scribes, constantly accompanying him[9], one on the right, and the other on the left[10].When the two receivers [i.e., recording angels] receive,[1529] seated on the right and on the left.Behold, two (guardian angels) appointed to learn (his doings) learn (and noted them), one sitting on the right and one on the left.
18 مَّا يَلْفِظُ مِن قَوْلٍ إِلَّا لَدَيْهِ رَقِيبٌ عَتِيدَمامَّاNotyalfiẓuيلفظيَلْفِظُhe uttersminمنمِنanyqawlinقولقَوْلٍwordillāإلاإِلَّاbutladayhiلديهلَدَيْهِwith himraqībunرقيبرَقِيبٌ(is) an observerʿatīdunعتيدعَتِيدٌready.He uttereth no word but there is with him an observer ready.Not a single word he utters but there is with him a vigilant watcher, ready [to record it].He [i.e., man] utters no word except that with him is an observer prepared [to record].Not a word does he utter but there is a sentinel by him, ready (to note it).
19 وَجَآءَتْ سَكْرَةُ ٱلْمَوْتِ بِٱلْحَقِّۖ ذَٰلِكَ مَا كُنتَ مِنْهُ تَحِيدُwajāatوجاءتوَجَآءَتْAnd will comesakratuسكرةسَكْرَةُ(the) stuporl-mawtiالموتٱلْمَوْتِ(of) deathbil-ḥaqiبالحقبِٱلْحَقِّin truth,dhālikaذلكذَٰلِكَ"Thatمامَا(is) whatkuntaكنتكُنتَyou weremin'huمنهمِنْهُ[from it]taḥīduتحيدتَحِيدُavoiding."And the agony of death cometh in truth. (And it is said unto him): This is that which thou wast wont to shun.The throes of death will come with the truth[11]. This is what you were trying to avoid.And the intoxication of death will bring the truth; that is what you were trying to avoid.And the stupor of death will bring Truth (before his eyes): "This was the thing which thou wast trying to escape!"
20 وَنُفِخَ فِي ٱلصُّورِۚ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمُ ٱلْوَعِيدِwanufikhaونفخوَنُفِخَAnd will be blownفيفِى[in]l-ṣūriالصورٱلصُّورِthe trumpet.dhālikaذلكذَٰلِكَThatyawmuيوميَوْمُ(is the) Dayl-waʿīdiالوعيدٱلْوَعِيدِ(of) the Warning.And the trumpet is blown. This is the threatened Day.And the Trumpet will be blown[12]; that is the Day of [the given] warning.And the Horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat.And the Trumpet shall be blown: that will be the Day whereof Warning (had been given).
21 وَجَآءَتْ كُلُّ نَفْسٖ مَّعَهَا سَآئِقَ وَشَهِيدَwajāatوجاءتوَجَآءَتْAnd will comekulluكلكُلُّeverynafsinنفسنَفْسٍsoul,maʿahāمعهامَّعَهَاwith itsāiqunسائقسَآئِقٌa driverwashahīdunوشهيدوَشَهِيدٌand a witness.And every soul cometh, along with it a driver and a witness.Everyone will come, accompanied by an angel to drive him and another to testify[13].And every soul will come, with it a driver and a witness.[1530]And there will come forth every soul: with each will be an (angel) to drive, and an (angel) to bear witness.
22 لَّقَدْ كُنتَ فِي غَفْلَةٖ مِّنْ هَٰذَا فَكَشَفْنَا عَنكَ غِطَآءَكَ فَبَصَرُكَ ٱلْيَوْمَ حَدِيدَlaqadلقدلَّقَدْ"Certainlykuntaكنتكُنتَyou wereفيفِىinghaflatinغفلةغَفْلَةٍheedlessnessminمنمِّنْofhādhāهذاهَٰذَاthis.fakashafnāفكشفنافَكَشَفْنَاSo We have removedʿankaعنكعَنكَfrom youghiṭāakaغطاءكغِطَآءَكَyour cover,fabaṣarukaفبصركفَبَصَرُكَso your sightl-yawmaاليومٱلْيَوْمَtodayḥadīdunحديدحَدِيدٌ(is) sharp."(And unto the evil-doer it is said): Thou wast in heedlessness of this. Now We have removed from thee thy covering, and piercing is thy sight this day.“You were heedless of this; now We have removed your veil[14], so your vision is sharp Today.”[It will be said], "You were certainly in unmindfulness of this, and We have removed from you your cover,[1531] so your sight, this Day, is sharp."(It will be said:) "Thou wast heedless of this; now have We removed thy veil, and sharp is thy sight this Day!"
23 وَقَالَ قَرِينُهُ هَٰذَا مَا لَدَيَّ عَتِيدٌwaqālaوقالوَقَالَAnd (will) sayqarīnuhuقرينهقَرِينُهُhis companion,hādhāهذاهَٰذَا"Thisمامَا(is) whatladayyaلديلَدَىَّ(is) with meʿatīdunعتيدعَتِيدٌready."And (unto the evil-doer) his comrade saith: This is that which I have ready (as testimony).His angel-companion will say, “Here is the record ready with me.”And his companion, [the angel], will say, "This [record] is what is with me, prepared."And his Companion will say: "Here is (his Record) ready with me!"
24 أَلْقِيَا فِي جَهَنَّمَ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ عَنِيدٖalqiyāألقياأَلْقِيَا"Throwفيفِىin (to)jahannamaجهنمجَهَنَّمَHellkullaكلكُلَّeverykaffārinكفاركَفَّارٍdisbelieverʿanīdinعنيدعَنِيدٍstubborn,(And it is said): Do ye twain hurl to hell each rebel ingrate,[It will be said to the two angels], “Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever,[Allāh will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever,(The sentence will be:) "Throw, throw into Hell every contumacious Rejecter (of Allah)!-
25 مَّنَّاعٖ لِّلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَدٖ مُّرِيبٍmannāʿinمناعمَّنَّاعٍForbidderlil'khayriللخيرلِّلْخَيْرِof good,muʿ'tadinمعتدمُعْتَدٍtransgressormurībinمريبمُّرِيبٍdoubter,Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter,every withholder of good, transgressor, and doubter,Preventer of good, aggressor, and doubter,"Who forbade what was good, transgressed all bounds, cast doubts and suspicions;
26 ٱلَّذِي جَعَلَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَأَلْقِيَاهُ فِي ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلشَّدِيدِalladhīالذيٱلَّذِىWhojaʿalaجعلجَعَلَmademaʿaمعمَعَwithl-lahiاللهٱللَّهِAllahilāhanإلهاإِلَٰهًاa godākharaآخرءَاخَرَanother;fa-alqiyāhuفألقياهفَأَلْقِيَاهُso throw himفيفِىin(to)l-ʿadhābiالعذابٱلْعَذَابِthe punishmentl-shadīdiالشديدٱلشَّدِيدِthe severe."Who setteth up another god along with Allah. Do ye twain hurl him to the dreadful doom.who set up with Allah another god. Throw him into the severe punishment.”Who made [as equal] with Allāh another deity; then throw him into the severe punishment.""Who set up another god beside Allah: Throw him into a severe penalty."
27 ۞ قَالَ قَرِينُهُ رَبَّنَا مَآ أَطْغَيْتُهُ وَلَٰكِن كَانَ فِي ضَلَٰلِۭ بَعِيدٖqālaقالقَالَWill sayqarīnuhuقرينهقَرِينُهُhis companion,rabbanāربنارَبَّنَا"Our Lord,مامَآnotaṭghaytuhuأطغيتهأَطْغَيْتُهُI made him transgress,walākinولكنوَلَٰكِنbutkānaكانكَانَhe wasفيفِىinḍalālinضلالضَلَٰلٍۭerrorbaʿīdinبعيدبَعِيدٍfar."His comrade saith: Our Lord! I did not cause him to rebel, but he was (himself) far gone in error.His [devil] companion will say, “Our Lord, I did not mislead him, but he himself was far astray.”His [devil] companion will say, "Our Lord, I did not make him transgress, but he [himself] was in extreme error."His Companion will say: "Our Lord! I did not make him transgress, but he was (himself) far astray."
28 قَالَ لَا تَخْتَصِمُواْ لَدَيَّ وَقَدْ قَدَّمْتُ إِلَيْكُم بِٱلْوَعِيدِqālaقالقَالَHe will say,لالَا"(Do) nottakhtaṣimūتختصمواتَخْتَصِمُواْdisputeladayyaلديلَدَىَّ(in) My presencewaqadوقدوَقَدْand indeed,qaddamtuقدمتقَدَّمْتُI sent forthilaykumإليكمإِلَيْكُمto youbil-waʿīdiبالوعيدبِٱلْوَعِيدِthe Warning.He saith: Contend not in My presence, when I had already proffered unto you the warning.Allah will say, “Do not argue in My presence, for I had already given you the warning.[Allāh] will say, "Do not dispute before Me, while I had already presented to you the threat [i.e., warning].He will say: "Dispute not with each other in My Presence: I had already in advance sent you Warning.
29 مَا يُبَدَّلُ ٱلْقَوْلُ لَدَيَّ وَمَآ أَنَا بِظَلَّٰمٖ لِّلْعَبِيدِمامَاNotyubaddaluيبدليُبَدَّلُwill be changedl-qawluالقولٱلْقَوْلُthe wordladayyaلديلَدَىَّwith Me,wamāوماوَمَآand notanāأناأَنَاI Ambiẓallāminبظلامبِظَلَّٰمٍunjustlil'ʿabīdiللعبيدلِّلْعَبِيدِto My slaves."The sentence that cometh from Me cannot be changed, and I am in no wise a tyrant unto the slaves.My Word cannot be changed, nor am I unjust to My slaves.”The word [i.e., decree] will not be changed with Me, and never will I be unjust to the servants.""The Word changes not before Me, and I do not the least injustice to My Servants."
30 يَوْمَ نَقُولُ لِجَهَنَّمَ هَلِ ٱمْتَلَأْتِ وَتَقُولُ هَلْ مِن مَّزِيدٖyawmaيوميَوْمَ(The) DaynaqūluنقولنَقُولُWe will saylijahannamaلجهنملِجَهَنَّمَto Hell,haliهلهَلِ"Areim'talatiامتلأتٱمْتَلَأْتِyou filled?"wataqūluوتقولوَتَقُولُAnd it will say,halهلهَلْ"Areminمنمِن(there) anymazīdinمزيدمَّزِيدٍmore?"On the day when We say unto hell: Art thou filled? and it saith: Can there be more to come?[Beware of] the Day when We will say to Hell, “Have you reached your fill?” It will say, “Are there any more?”On the Day We will say to Hell, "Have you been filled?" and it will say, "Are there some more,"One Day We will ask Hell, "Art thou filled to the full?" It will say, "Are there any more (to come)?"
31 وَأُزْلِفَتِ ٱلْجَنَّةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ غَيْرَ بَعِيدٍwa-uz'lifatiوأزلفتوَأُزْلِفَتِAnd will be brought nearl-janatuالجنةٱلْجَنَّةُthe Paradiselil'muttaqīnaللمتقينلِلْمُتَّقِينَto the righteous,ghayraغيرغَيْرَnotbaʿīdinبعيدبَعِيدٍfar.And the Garden is brought nigh for those who kept from evil, no longer distant.Paradise will be brought near to the righteous, not far off.And Paradise will be brought near to the righteous, not far,And the Garden will be brought nigh to the Righteous,- no more a thing distant.
32 هَٰذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِكُلِّ أَوَّابٍ حَفِيظٖhādhāهذاهَٰذَا"Thisمامَا(is) whattūʿadūnaتوعدونتُوعَدُونَyou were promised,likulliلكللِكُلِّfor everyoneawwābinأوابأَوَّابٍwho turnsḥafīẓinحفيظحَفِيظٍ(and) who keeps,(And it is said): This is that which ye were promised. (It is) for every penitent and heedful one,[It will be said], “This is what you were promised; this is for everyone who constantly turned [to Allah] and was dutiful,[It will be said], "This is what you were promised - for every returner [to Allāh] and keeper [of His covenant].(A voice will say:) "This is what was promised for you,- for every one who turned (to Allah) in sincere repentance, who kept (His Law),
33 مَّنْ خَشِيَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنَ بِٱلْغَيْبِ وَجَآءَ بِقَلْبٖ مُّنِيبٍmanمنمَّنْWhokhashiyaخشيخَشِىَfearedl-raḥmānaالرحمنٱلرَّحْمَٰنَthe Most Graciousbil-ghaybiبالغيببِٱلْغَيْبِin the unseen,wajāaوجاءوَجَآءَand camebiqalbinبقلببِقَلْبٍwith a heartmunībinمنيبمُّنِيبٍreturning.Who feareth the Beneficent in secret and cometh with a contrite heart.who feared the Most Compassionate unseen[15], and came with a devoted heart.Who feared the Most Merciful in the unseen and came with a heart returning [in repentance]."Who feared (Allah) Most Gracious Unseen, and brought a heart turned in devotion (to Him):
34 ٱدْخُلُوهَا بِسَلَٰمٖۖ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمُ ٱلْخُلُودِud'khulūhāادخلوهاٱدْخُلُوهَاEnter itbisalāminبسلامبِسَلَٰمٍin peace.dhālikaذلكذَٰلِكَThatyawmuيوميَوْمُ(is) a Dayl-khulūdiالخلودٱلْخُلُودِ(of) Eternity."Enter it in peace. This is the day of immortality.Enter it in peace. This is the Day of eternity.”Enter it in peace. This is the Day of Eternity.""Enter ye therein in Peace and Security; this is a Day of Eternal Life!"
35 لَهُم مَّا يَشَآءُونَ فِيهَا وَلَدَيْنَا مَزِيدَlahumلهملَهُمFor themمامَّاwhateveryashāūnaيشاءونيَشَآءُونَthey wishfīhāفيهافِيهَاthereinwaladaynāولديناوَلَدَيْنَاand with Usmazīdunمزيدمَزِيدٌ(is) more.There they have all that they desire, and there is more with Us.They will have therein all what they wish for, and We have yet more[16].They will have whatever they wish therein, and with Us is more.There will be for them therein all that they wish,- and more besides in Our Presence.
36 وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُم بَطْشٗا فَنَقَّبُواْ فِي ٱلْبِلَٰدِ هَلْ مِن مَّحِيصٍwakamوكموَكَمْAnd how manyahlaknāأهلكناأَهْلَكْنَاWe destroyedqablahumقبلهمقَبْلَهُمbefore themminمنمِّنofqarninقرنقَرْنٍa generation,humهمهُمْtheyashadduأشدأَشَدُّ(were) strongermin'humمنهممِنْهُمthan thembaṭshanبطشابَطْشًا(in) power.fanaqqabūفنقبوافَنَقَّبُواْso they exploredفيفِىthroughoutl-bilādiالبلادٱلْبِلَٰدِthe lands.halهلهَلْIs (there)minمنمِنanymaḥīṣinمحيصمَّحِيصٍplace of escape?And how many a generation We destroyed before them, who were mightier than these in prowess so that they overran the lands! Had they any place of refuge (when the judgment came)?How many nations We destroyed before these [Makkans] who were stronger than them in might! They sought refuge in the land. Did they find any escape?And how many a generation before them did We destroy who were greater than them in [striking] power and had explored throughout the lands. Is there any place of escape?But how many generations before them did We destroy (for their sins),- stronger in power than they? Then did they wander through the land: was there any place of escape (for them)?
37 إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَذِكْرَىٰ لِمَن كَانَ لَهُ قَلْبٌ أَوْ أَلْقَى ٱلسَّمْعَ وَهُوَ شَهِيدَinnaإنإِنَّIndeed,فيفِىindhālikaذلكذَٰلِكَthatladhik'rāلذكرىلَذِكْرَىٰsurely, is a reminderlimanلمنلِمَنfor (one) who,kānaكانكَانَis -lahuلهلَهُfor himqalbunقلبقَلْبٌa heartawأوأَوْoralqāألقىأَلْقَى(who) gives earl-samʿaالسمعٱلسَّمْعَ(who) gives earwahuwaوهووَهُوَwhile heshahīdunشهيدشَهِيدٌ(is) a witness.Lo! therein verily is a reminder for him who hath a heart, or giveth ear with full intelligence.Indeed, in that is a reminder for anyone who has a [mindful] heart or lends an attentive ear.Indeed in that is a reminder for whoever has a heart or who listens while he is present [in mind].Verily in this is a Message for any that has a heart and understanding or who gives ear and earnestly witnesses (the truth).
38 وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٖ وَمَا مَسَّنَا مِن لُّغُوبٖwalaqadولقدوَلَقَدْAnd certainly,khalaqnāخلقناخَلَقْنَاWe createdl-samāwātiالسماواتٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavenswal-arḍaوالأرضوَٱلْأَرْضَand the earthwamāوماوَمَاand whateverbaynahumāبينهمابَيْنَهُمَا(is) between both of themفيفِىinsittatiستةسِتَّةِsixayyāminأيامأَيَّامٍperiods,wamāوماوَمَاand (did) notmassanāمسنامَسَّنَاtouch Usminمنمِنanylughūbinلغوبلُّغُوبٍfatigue.And verily We created the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, in six Days, and naught of weariness touched Us.Indeed, We created the heavens and earth and all that is between them in six days, and no weariness touched Us[17].And We did certainly create the heavens and earth and what is between them in six days, and there touched Us no weariness.We created the heavens and the earth and all between them in Six Days, nor did any sense of weariness touch Us.
39 فَٱصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ ٱلشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ ٱلْغُرُوبِfa-iṣ'birفاصبرفَٱصْبِرْSo be patientʿalāعلىعَلَىٰoverمامَاwhatyaqūlūnaيقولونيَقُولُونَthey saywasabbiḥوسبحوَسَبِّحْand glorifybiḥamdiبحمدبِحَمْدِ(the) praiserabbikaربكرَبِّكَ(of) your Lord,qablaقبلقَبْلَbeforeṭulūʿiطلوعطُلُوعِ(the) risingl-shamsiالشمسٱلشَّمْسِ(of) the sunwaqablaوقبلوَقَبْلَand beforel-ghurūbiالغروبٱلْغُرُوبِthe setting,Therefor (O Muhammad) bear with what they say, and hymn the praise of thy Lord before the rising and before the setting of the sun;So bear patiently [O Prophet] what they say, and glorify the praise of your Lord before sunrise and before sunset[18].So be patient, [O Muḥammad], over what they say and exalt [Allāh] with praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting,Bear, then, with patience, all that they say, and celebrate the praises of thy Lord, before the rising of the sun and before (its) setting.
40 وَمِنَ ٱلَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ وَأَدْبَٰرَ ٱلسُّجُودِwaminaومنوَمِنَAnd ofal-layliالليلٱلَّيْلِthe nightfasabbiḥ'huفسبحهفَسَبِّحْهُglorify Himwa-adbāraوأدباروَأَدْبَٰرَand afterl-sujūdiالسجودٱلسُّجُودِthe prostration.And in the night-time hymn His praise, and after the (prescribed) prostrations.And glorify Him in the night[19] and after the prayers.And [in part] of the night exalt Him and after prostration [i.e., prayer].And during part of the night, (also,) celebrate His praises, and (so likewise) after the postures of adoration.
41 وَٱسْتَمِعْ يَوْمَ يُنَادِ ٱلْمُنَادِ مِن مَّكَانٖ قَرِيبٖwa-is'tamiʿواستمعوَٱسْتَمِعْAnd listen!yawmaيوميَوْمَ(The) Dayyunādiيناديُنَادِwill calll-munādiالمنادٱلْمُنَادِthe callerminمنمِنfrommakāninمكانمَّكَانٍa placeqarībinقريبقَرِيبٍnear,And listen on the day when the crier crieth from a near place,And listen! On the Day when the Caller will call out from a nearby place[20],And listen on the Day when the Caller[1532] will call out from a place that is near -And listen for the Day when the Caller will call out from a place quiet near,-
42 يَوْمَ يَسْمَعُونَ ٱلصَّيْحَةَ بِٱلْحَقِّۚ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمُ ٱلْخُرُوجِyawmaيوميَوْمَ(The) Dayyasmaʿūnaيسمعونيَسْمَعُونَthey will hearl-ṣayḥataالصيحةٱلصَّيْحَةَthe Blastbil-ḥaqiبالحقبِٱلْحَقِّin truth.dhālikaذلكذَٰلِكَThatyawmuيوميَوْمُ(is the) Dayl-khurūjiالخروجٱلْخُرُوجِ(of) coming forth.The day when they will hear the (Awful) Cry in truth. That is the day of coming forth (from the graves).the Day when they will hear the Blast [of the second Trumpet] in truth[21]. That is the Day of Resurrection.The Day they will hear the blast [of the Horn] in truth. That is the Day of Emergence [from the graves].The Day when they will hear a (mighty) Blast in (very) truth: that will be the Day of Resurrection.
43 إِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْيِۦ وَنُمِيتُ وَإِلَيْنَا ٱلْمَصِيرُinnāإناإِنَّاIndeed, Wenaḥnuنحننَحْنُ[We]nuḥ'yīنحيينُحْىِۦ[We] give lifewanumītuونميتوَنُمِيتُand [We] cause death,wa-ilaynāوإليناوَإِلَيْنَاand to Usl-maṣīruالمصيرٱلْمَصِيرُ(is) the final return.Lo! We it is Who quicken and give death, and unto Us is the journeying.Indeed, it is We Who give life and cause death, and to Us is the final return.Indeed, it is We who give life and cause death, and to Us is the destinationVerily it is We Who give Life and Death; and to Us is the Final Goal-
44 يَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ ٱلْأَرْضُ عَنْهُمْ سِرَاعٗاۚ ذَٰلِكَ حَشْرٌ عَلَيْنَا يَسِيرَyawmaيوميَوْمَ(The) Daytashaqqaquتشققتَشَقَّقُwill splitl-arḍuالأرضٱلْأَرْضُthe earthʿanhumعنهمعَنْهُمْfrom them,sirāʿanسراعاسِرَاعًاhurrying.dhālikaذلكذَٰلِكَThatḥashrunحشرحَشْرٌ(is) a gatheringʿalaynāعليناعَلَيْنَاfor Usyasīrunيسيريَسِيرٌeasy.On the day when the earth splitteth asunder from them, hastening forth (they come). That is a gathering easy for Us (to make).On the Day when the earth will be rent asunder for them as they hasten forth [from their graves]; that is an easy gathering for Us.On the Day the earth breaks away from them [and they emerge] rapidly; that is a gathering easy for Us.The Day when the Earth will be rent asunder, from (men) hurrying out: that will be a gathering together,- quite easy for Us.
45 نَّحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَقُولُونَۖ وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَيْهِم بِجَبَّارٖۖ فَذَكِّرْ بِٱلْقُرْءَانِ مَن يَخَافُ وَعِيدِnaḥnuنحننَّحْنُWeaʿlamuأعلمأَعْلَمُknow bestbimāبمابِمَا[of] whatyaqūlūnaيقولونيَقُولُونَthey say,wamāوماوَمَآand notantaأنتأَنتَ(are) youʿalayhimعليهمعَلَيْهِمover thembijabbārinبجباربِجَبَّارٍthe one to compel.fadhakkirفذكرفَذَكِّرْBut remindbil-qur'āniبالقرآنبِٱلْقُرْءَانِwith the QuranmanمنمَنwhoeveryakhāfuيخافيَخَافُfearswaʿīdiوعيدوَعِيدِMy threat.We are Best Aware of what they say, and thou (O Muhammad) art in no wise a compeller over them. But warn by the Qur'an him who feareth My threat.We know best what they say, and you are not there to compel them to believe. But remind with the Qur’an those who fear My warning.We are most knowing of what they say, and you are not over them a tyrant.[1533] But remind by the Qur’ān whoever fears My threat.We know best what they say; and thou art not one to overawe them by force. So admonish with the Qur'an such as fear My Warning!

ﱆ ﱇ ﱈ ﱉ ﱊ ﱋ ﱌ ﱍ ﱎ ﱏ ﱐ
ﱒ ﱓ ﱔ ﱕﱖ ﱗ ﱘ ﱙ
ﱛ ﱜ ﱝ ﱞ ﱟ ﱠﱡ ﱢ ﱣ ﱤ
ﱦ ﱧ ﱨ ﱩ ﱪ ﱫ ﱬ ﱭ ﱮ
ﱰ ﱱ ﱲ ﱳ ﱴ ﱵ ﱶ ﱷ ﱸ ﱹ ﱺ ﱻ
ﱽ ﱾ ﱿ ﲀ ﲁ ﲂ ﲃ ﲄ ﲅ ﲆ ﲇ
ﲉ ﲊ ﲋ ﲌ ﲍ
ﲏ ﲐ ﲑ ﲒ ﲓ ﲔ ﲕ ﲖ ﲗ ﲘ
ﲚ ﲛ ﲜ ﲝ ﲞ
ﲠ ﲡﲢ ﲣ ﲤ ﲥ ﲦﲧ ﲨ ﲩ
ﲫ ﲬ ﲭ ﲮ ﲯ ﲰ ﲱ
ﲳ ﲴ ﲵ ﲶ
ﲸ ﲹ ﲺ ﲻﲼ ﲽ ﲾ ﲿ ﳀ ﳁ
ﳃ ﳄ ﳅﳆ ﳇ ﳈ ﳉ ﳊ ﳋ ﳌ ﳍ
ﱁ ﱂ ﱃ ﱄ ﱅ ﱆ ﱇ ﱈﱉ ﱊ ﱋ ﱌ ﱍ ﱎ ﱏ
ﱑ ﱒ ﱓ ﱔ ﱕ ﱖ ﱗ ﱘ
ﱚ ﱛ ﱜ ﱝ ﱞ ﱟ ﱠ ﱡ
ﱣ ﱤ ﱥ ﱦﱧ ﱨ ﱩ ﱪ ﱫ ﱬ
ﱮ ﱯ ﱰﱱ ﱲ ﱳ ﱴ
ﱶ ﱷ ﱸ ﱹ ﱺ ﱻ
ﱽ ﱾ ﱿ ﲀ ﲁ ﲂ ﲃ ﲄ ﲅ ﲆ ﲇ ﲈ
ﲊ ﲋ ﲌ ﲍ ﲎ ﲏ
ﲑ ﲒ ﲓ ﲔ ﲕ ﲖ
ﲘ ﲙ ﲚ ﲛ
ﲝ ﲞ ﲟ ﲠ ﲡ ﲢ ﲣ ﲤ ﲥ ﲦ
ﲨ ﲩ ﲪ ﲫ ﲬ ﲭ ﲮ ﲯ ﲰ ﲱ ﲲ
ﲴ ﲵ ﲶ ﲷ ﲸ ﲹ ﲺ ﲻ
ﲽ ﲾ ﲿ ﳀ ﳁ ﳂ ﳃ ﳄ
ﳆ ﳇ ﳈ ﳉ ﳊ ﳋ ﳌ ﳍ ﳎ
ﳐ ﳑ ﳒ ﳓ ﳔ
ﳖ ﳗ ﳘ ﳙ ﳚ ﳛ
ﳝ ﳞ ﳟ ﳠ ﳡ ﳢ ﳣ
ﳥ ﳦﳧ ﳨ ﳩ ﳪ
ﳬ ﳭ ﳮ ﳯ ﳰ ﳱ
ﱁ ﱂ ﱃ ﱄ ﱅ ﱆ ﱇ ﱈ ﱉ ﱊ ﱋ ﱌ ﱍ ﱎ ﱏ
ﱑ ﱒ ﱓ ﱔ ﱕ ﱖ ﱗ ﱘ ﱙ ﱚ ﱛ ﱜ ﱝ
ﱟ ﱠ ﱡ ﱢ ﱣ ﱤ ﱥ ﱦ ﱧ ﱨ ﱩ ﱪ ﱫ
ﱭ ﱮ ﱯ ﱰ ﱱ ﱲ ﱳ ﱴ ﱵ ﱶ ﱷ ﱸ
ﱿ ﱺ ﱻ ﱼ ﱽ ﱾ
ﲀ ﲁ ﲂ ﲃ ﲄ ﲅ ﲆ
ﲈ ﲉ ﲊ ﲋﲌ ﲍ ﲎ ﲏ
ﲑ ﲒ ﲓ ﲔ ﲕ ﲖ
ﲘ ﲙ ﲚ ﲛ ﲜﲝ ﲞ ﲟ ﲠ ﲡ
ﲣ ﲤ ﲥ ﲦﲧ ﲨ ﲩ ﲪ ﲫﲬ ﲭ ﲮ ﲯ ﲰ ﲱ
ﱁﱂ ﱃ ﱄ ﱅ ﱆ ﱇ ﱈ ﱉ ﱊ ﱋ
ﱌ ﱍ ﱎ ﱏ ﱐ ﱑ ﱒ ﱓ ﱔ ﱕﱖ ﱗ
ﱘ ﱙ ﱚ ﱛ ﱜ ﱝ ﱞ ﱟ ﱠﱡ ﱢ ﱣ
ﱤ ﱥ ﱦ ﱧ ﱨ ﱩ ﱪ ﱫ ﱬ ﱭ ﱮ ﱯ
ﱰ ﱱ ﱲ ﱳ ﱴ ﱵ ﱶ ﱷ
ﱸ ﱹ ﱺ ﱻ ﱼ ﱽ ﱾ ﱿ ﲀ ﲁ
ﲂ ﲃ ﲄ ﲅ ﲆ ﲇ ﲈ ﲉ ﲊ ﲋ ﲌ
ﲍ ﲎ ﲏ ﲐ ﲑ ﲒ ﲓ ﲔ ﲕ ﲖ
ﲗ ﲘ ﲙ ﲚ ﲛ ﲜ ﲝ ﲞ ﲟ
ﲡﲢ ﲣ ﲤ ﲥ ﲦﲧ ﲨ ﲩ ﲪ ﲫ ﲬ
ﲭ ﲮ ﲯ ﲰ ﲱ ﲲ ﲳ ﲴ ﲵ
ﲶ ﲷ ﲸ ﲹ ﲺ ﲻﲼ ﲽ ﲾ ﲿ ﳀ ﳁ
ﳃ ﳄ ﳅﳆ ﳇ ﳈ ﳉ ﳊ ﳋ ﳌ ﳍ ﳎ
ﱁ ﱂ ﱃ ﱄ ﱅ ﱆ ﱇ ﱈﱉ ﱊ ﱋ ﱌ
ﱍ ﱎ ﱏ ﱐ ﱑ ﱒ ﱓ ﱔ ﱕ ﱖ ﱗ
ﱘ ﱙ ﱚ ﱛ ﱜ ﱝ ﱞ ﱟ ﱠ ﱡ ﱢ ﱣ ﱤ
ﱥ ﱦﱧ ﱨ ﱩ ﱪ ﱫ ﱬ ﱭ ﱮ ﱯ ﱰﱱ ﱲ
ﱳ ﱴ ﱵ ﱶ ﱷ ﱸ ﱹ ﱺ ﱻ ﱼ
ﱾ ﱿ ﲀ ﲁ ﲂ ﲃ ﲄ ﲅ ﲆ ﲇ ﲈ
ﲊ ﲋ ﲌ ﲍ ﲎ ﲏ ﲐ ﲑ ﲒ ﲓ ﲔ ﲕ
ﲖ ﲗ ﲘ ﲙ ﲚ ﲛ ﲜ ﲝ ﲞ ﲟ ﲠ ﲡ
ﲢ ﲣ ﲤ ﲥ ﲦ ﲧ ﲨ ﲩ ﲪ ﲫ ﲬ ﲭ
ﲮ ﲯ ﲰ ﲱ ﲲ ﲳ ﲴ ﲵ ﲶ ﲷ ﲸ ﲹ

ﲒ ﲓ ﲔ ﲕ ﲖ ﲗ ﲘ ﲙ ﲚ
ﲛ ﲜﲝ ﲞ ﲟ ﲠ ﲡ ﲢ ﲣ ﲤ ﲥ ﲦﲧ
ﲨ ﲩ ﲪ ﲫﲬ ﲭ ﲮ ﲯ ﲰ ﲱ ﲲ
ق وَالْقُرْآنِ الْمَجِيدِ ١ بَلْ عَجِبُوا أَن جَاءَهُم مُّنذِرٌ مِّنْهُمْ
فَقَالَ الْكَافِرُونَ هَٰذَا شَيْءٌ عَجِيبٌ ٢ أَإِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا ذَٰلِكَ
رَجْعٌ بَعِيدٌ ٣ قَدْ عَلِمْنَا مَا تَنقُصُ الْأَرْضُ مِنْهُمْ وَعِندَنَا كِتَابٌ
حَفِيظٌ ٤ بَلْ كَذَّبُوا بِالْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ فَهُمْ فِي أَمْرٍ مَّرِيجٍ ٥
أَفَلَمْ يَنظُرُوا إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَوْقَهُمْ كَيْفَ بَنَيْنَاهَا وَزَيَّنَّاهَا
وَمَا لَهَا مِن فُرُوجٍ ٦ وَالْأَرْضَ مَدَدْنَاهَا وَأَلْقَيْنَا فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ
وَأَنبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍ بَهِيجٍ ٧ تَبْصِرَةً وَذِكْرَىٰ لِكُلِّ عَبْدٍ
مُّنِيبٍ ٨ وَنَزَّلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً مُّبَارَكًا فَأَنبَتْنَا بِهِ جَنَّاتٍ
وَحَبَّ الْحَصِيدِ ٩ وَالنَّخْلَ بَاسِقَاتٍ لَّهَا طَلْعٌ نَّضِيدٌ ١٠ رِّزْقًا
لِّلْعِبَادِ وَأَحْيَيْنَا بِهِ بَلْدَةً مَّيْتًا كَذَٰلِكَ الْخُرُوجُ ١١ كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ
قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَأَصْحَابُ الرَّسِّ وَثَمُودُ ١٢ وَعَادٌ وَفِرْعَوْنُ وَإِخْوَانُ
لُوطٍ ١٣ وَأَصْحَابُ الْأَيْكَةِ وَقَوْمُ تُبَّعٍ كُلٌّ كَذَّبَ الرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ وَعِيدِ
١٤ أَفَعَيِينَا بِالْخَلْقِ الْأَوَّلِ بَلْ هُمْ فِي لَبْسٍ مِّنْ خَلْقٍ جَدِيدٍ ١٥
وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنسَانَ وَنَعْلَمُ مَا تُوَسْوِسُ بِهِ نَفْسُهُ وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ
مِنْ حَبْلِ الْوَرِيدِ ١٦ إِذْ يَتَلَقَّى الْمُتَلَقِّيَانِ عَنِ الْيَمِينِ وَعَنِ الشِّمَالِ
قَعِيدٌ ١٧ مَّا يَلْفِظُ مِن قَوْلٍ إِلَّا لَدَيْهِ رَقِيبٌ عَتِيدٌ ١٨ وَجَاءَتْ سَكْرَةُ
الْمَوْتِ بِالْحَقِّ ذَٰلِكَ مَا كُنتَ مِنْهُ تَحِيدُ ١٩ وَنُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ ذَٰلِكَ
يَوْمُ الْوَعِيدِ ٢٠ وَجَاءَتْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّعَهَا سَائِقٌ وَشَهِيدٌ ٢١ لَّقَدْ
كُنتَ فِي غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ هَٰذَا فَكَشَفْنَا عَنكَ غِطَاءَكَ فَبَصَرُكَ الْيَوْمَ حَدِيدٌ
٢٢ وَقَالَ قَرِينُهُ هَٰذَا مَا لَدَيَّ عَتِيدٌ ٢٣ أَلْقِيَا فِي جَهَنَّمَ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ
عَنِيدٍ ٢٤ مَّنَّاعٍ لِّلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَدٍ مُّرِيبٍ ٢٥ الَّذِي جَعَلَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا
آخَرَ فَأَلْقِيَاهُ فِي الْعَذَابِ الشَّدِيدِ ٢٦ ۞ قَالَ قَرِينُهُ رَبَّنَا مَا
أَطْغَيْتُهُ وَلَٰكِن كَانَ فِي ضَلَالٍ بَعِيدٍ ٢٧ قَالَ لَا تَخْتَصِمُوا لَدَيَّ وَقَدْ قَدَّمْتُ
إِلَيْكُم بِالْوَعِيدِ ٢٨ مَا يُبَدَّلُ الْقَوْلُ لَدَيَّ وَمَا أَنَا بِظَلَّامٍ لِّلْعَبِيدِ ٢٩
يَوْمَ نَقُولُ لِجَهَنَّمَ هَلِ امْتَلَأْتِ وَتَقُولُ هَلْ مِن مَّزِيدٍ ٣٠ وَأُزْلِفَتِ
الْجَنَّةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ غَيْرَ بَعِيدٍ ٣١ هَٰذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِكُلِّ أَوَّابٍ حَفِيظٍ
٣٢ مَّنْ خَشِيَ الرَّحْمَٰنَ بِالْغَيْبِ وَجَاءَ بِقَلْبٍ مُّنِيبٍ ٣٣ ادْخُلُوهَا
بِسَلَامٍ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمُ الْخُلُودِ ٣٤ لَهُم مَّا يَشَاءُونَ فِيهَا وَلَدَيْنَا مَزِيدٌ ٣٥
وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُم بَطْشًا فَنَقَّبُوا
فِي الْبِلَادِ هَلْ مِن مَّحِيصٍ ٣٦ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَذِكْرَىٰ لِمَن
كَانَ لَهُ قَلْبٌ أَوْ أَلْقَى السَّمْعَ وَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ ٣٧ وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا
السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ وَمَا مَسَّنَا
مِن لُّغُوبٍ ٣٨ فَاصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ
قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ الْغُرُوبِ ٣٩ وَمِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ
وَأَدْبَارَ السُّجُودِ ٤٠ وَاسْتَمِعْ يَوْمَ يُنَادِ الْمُنَادِ مِن مَّكَانٍ قَرِيبٍ
٤١ يَوْمَ يَسْمَعُونَ الصَّيْحَةَ بِالْحَقِّ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمُ الْخُرُوجِ ٤٢ إِنَّا
نَحْنُ نُحْيِي وَنُمِيتُ وَإِلَيْنَا الْمَصِيرُ ٤٣ يَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ الْأَرْضُ
عَنْهُمْ سِرَاعًا ذَٰلِكَ حَشْرٌ عَلَيْنَا يَسِيرٌ ٤٤ نَّحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ
وَمَا أَنتَ عَلَيْهِم بِجَبَّارٍ فَذَكِّرْ بِالْقُرْآنِ مَن يَخَافُ وَعِيدِ ٤٥
قٓۚ وَٱلْقُرْءَانِ ٱلْمَجِيدِ ۝١ بَلْ عَجِبُوٓاْ أَن جَآءَهُم مُّنذِرَ مِّنْهُمْ
فَقَالَ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ هَٰذَا شَيْءٌ عَجِيبٌ ۝٢ أَءِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابٗاۖ ذَٰلِكَ
رَجْعُۢ بَعِيدَ ۝٣ قَدْ عَلِمْنَا مَا تَنقُصُ ٱلْأَرْضُ مِنْهُمْۖ وَعِندَنَا كِتَٰبٌ
حَفِيظُۢ ۝٤ بَلْ كَذَّبُواْ بِٱلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمْ فَهُمْ فِيٓ أَمْرٖ مَّرِيجٍ ۝٥
أَفَلَمْ يَنظُرُوٓاْ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَوْقَهُمْ كَيْفَ بَنَيْنَٰهَا وَزَيَّنَّٰهَا
وَمَا لَهَا مِن فُرُوجٖ ۝٦ وَٱلْأَرْضَ مَدَدْنَٰهَا وَأَلْقَيْنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِيَ
وَأَنۢبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوْجِۭ بَهِيجٖ ۝٧ تَبْصِرَةٗ وَذِكْرَىٰ لِكُلِّ عَبْدٖ
مُّنِيبٖ ۝٨ وَنَزَّلْنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءٗ مُّبَٰرَكٗا فَأَنۢبَتْنَا بِهِۦ جَنَّٰتٖ
وَحَبَّ ٱلْحَصِيدِ ۝٩ وَٱلنَّخْلَ بَاسِقَٰتٖ لَّهَا طَلْعَ نَّضِيدَ ۝١٠ رِّزْقٗا
لِّلْعِبَادِۖ وَأَحْيَيْنَا بِهِۦ بَلْدَةٗ مَّيْتٗاۚ كَذَٰلِكَ ٱلْخُرُوجُ ۝١١ كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ
قَوْمُ نُوحٖ وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلرَّسِّ وَثَمُودُ ۝١٢ وَعَادَ وَفِرْعَوْنُ وَإِخْوَٰنُ
لُوطٖ ۝١٣ وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْأَيْكَةِ وَقَوْمُ تُبَّعٖۚ كُلَّ كَذَّبَ ٱلرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ وَعِيدِ
۝١٤ أَفَعَيِينَا بِٱلْخَلْقِ ٱلْأَوَّلِۚ بَلْ هُمْ فِي لَبْسٖ مِّنْ خَلْقٖ جَدِيدٖ ۝١٥
وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ وَنَعْلَمُ مَا تُوَسْوِسُ بِهِۦ نَفْسُهُۖ وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ
مِنْ حَبْلِ ٱلْوَرِيدِ ۝١٦ إِذْ يَتَلَقَّى ٱلْمُتَلَقِّيَانِ عَنِ ٱلْيَمِينِ وَعَنِ ٱلشِّمَالِ
قَعِيدَ ۝١٧ مَّا يَلْفِظُ مِن قَوْلٍ إِلَّا لَدَيْهِ رَقِيبٌ عَتِيدَ ۝١٨ وَجَآءَتْ سَكْرَةُ

بِسَلَٰمٖۖ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمُ ٱلْخُلُودِ ۝٣٤ لَهُم مَّا يَشَآءُونَ فِيهَا وَلَدَيْنَا مَزِيدَ ۝٣٥
وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُم بَطْشٗا فَنَقَّبُواْ

عَنْهُمْ سِرَاعٗاۚ ذَٰلِكَ حَشْرٌ عَلَيْنَا يَسِيرَ ۝٤٤ نَّحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَقُولُونَۖ
وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَيْهِم بِجَبَّارٖۖ فَذَكِّرْ بِٱلْقُرْءَانِ مَن يَخَافُ وَعِيدِ ۝٤٥
ﱁﱂ ﱃ ﱄ ﱅ ﱆ ﱇ ﱈ ﱉ ﱊ ﱋ
ﱌ ﱍ ﱎ ﱏ ﱐ ﱑ ﱒ ﱓ ﱔ ﱕﱖ ﱗ
ﱘ ﱙ ﱚ ﱛ ﱜ ﱝ ﱞ ﱟ ﱠﱡ ﱢ ﱣ
ﱤ ﱥ ﱦ ﱧ ﱨ ﱩ ﱪ ﱫ ﱬ ﱭ ﱮ ﱯ
ﱰ ﱱ ﱲ ﱳ ﱴ ﱵ ﱶ ﱷ
