ﭼ
The Winnowing Winds
| 1 | وَٱلذَّٰرِيَٰتِ ذَرۡوٗاwal-dhāriyātiوالذارياتوَٱلذَّٰرِيَٰتِBy those scattering,dharwanذرواذَرْوًاdispersing,By those that winnow with a winnowingBy the winds that scatter [dust],By the [winds] scattering [dust], dispersing [it]By the (Winds) that scatter broadcast; |
| 2 | فَٱلۡحَٰمِلَٰتِ وِقۡرٗاfal-ḥāmilātiفالحاملاتفَٱلْحَٰمِلَٰتِAnd those carryingwiq'ranوقراوِقْرًاa load,And those that bear the burden (of the rain)and by the clouds carrying loads of water,And the [clouds] carrying a load [of water]And those that lift and bear away heavy weights; |
| 3 | فَٱلۡجَٰرِيَٰتِ يُسۡرٗاfal-jāriyātiفالجارياتفَٱلْجَٰرِيَٰتِAnd those sailingyus'ranيسرايُسْرًا(with) ease,And those that glide with ease (upon the sea)and by the ships that sail with ease,And the ships sailing with easeAnd those that flow with ease and gentleness; |
| 4 | فَٱلۡمُقَسِّمَٰتِ أَمۡرًاfal-muqasimātiفالمقسماتفَٱلْمُقَسِّمَٰتِAnd those distributingamranأمراأَمْرًاCommand,And those who distribute (blessings) by command,and by the angels who distribute [blessings] by His command.And the [angels] apportioning [each] matter,And those that distribute and apportion by Command;- |
| 5 | إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَصَادِقٞinnamāإنماإِنَّمَاIndeed, whattūʿadūnaتوعدونتُوعَدُونَyou are promisedlaṣādiqunلصادقلَصَادِقٌ(is) surely true,Lo! that wherewith ye are threatened is indeed true,Indeed, what you are promised is true,Indeed, what you are promised is true.Verily that which ye are promised is true; |
| 6 | وَإِنَّ ٱلدِّينَ لَوَٰقِعٞwa-innaوإنوَإِنَّAnd indeed,l-dīnaالدينٱلدِّينَthe Judgmentlawāqiʿunلواقعلَوَٰقِعٌ(is) surely to occur.And lo! the judgment will indeed befall.and the Judgment will surely come to pass.And indeed, the recompense is to occur.And verily Judgment and Justice must indeed come to pass. |
| 7 | وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلۡحُبُكِwal-samāiوالسماءوَٱلسَّمَآءِBy the heavendhātiذاتذَاتِfull ofl-ḥubukiالحبكٱلْحُبُكِpathways.By the heaven full of paths,By the heaven with its pathways[1],By the heaven containing pathways,[1535]By the Sky with (its) numerous Paths, |
| 8 | إِنَّكُمۡ لَفِي قَوۡلٖ مُّخۡتَلِفٖinnakumإنكمإِنَّكُمْIndeed, youlafīلفيلَفِى(are) surely inqawlinقولقَوْلٍa speechmukh'talifinمختلفمُّخْتَلِفٍdiffering.Lo! ye, forsooth, are of various opinion (concerning the truth).Indeed, you [Makkans] have conflicting views[2].Indeed, you are in differing speech.[1536]Truly ye are in a doctrine discordant, |
| 9 | يُؤۡفَكُ عَنۡهُ مَنۡ أُفِكَyu'fakuيؤفكيُؤْفَكُDeluded awayʿanhuعنهعَنْهُfrom itmanمنمَنْ(is he) whoufikaأفكأُفِكَis deluded.He is made to turn away from it who is (himself) averse.He who is diverted from it is destined to be diverted.Deluded away from it [i.e., the Qur’ān] is he who is deluded.Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded. |
| 10 | قُتِلَ ٱلۡخَرَّٰصُونَqutilaقتلقُتِلَCursed bel-kharāṣūnaالخراصونٱلْخَرَّٰصُونَthe liars,Accursed be the conjecturersDoomed[3] are those who base their beliefs on conjecture.Destroyed are the misinformers[1537]Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- |
| 11 | ٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ فِي غَمۡرَةٖ سَاهُونَalladhīnaالذينٱلَّذِينَThose whohumهمهُمْ[they]fīفيفِى(are) inghamratinغمرةغَمْرَةٍfloodsāhūnaساهونسَاهُونَ(of) heedlessness.Who are careless in an abyss!those who are steeped in ignorance heedlessly.Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless.Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion: |
| 12 | يَسۡـَٔلُونَ أَيَّانَ يَوۡمُ ٱلدِّينِyasalūnaيسألونيَسْـَٔلُونَThey ask,ayyānaأيانأَيَّانَ"Whenyawmuيوميَوْمُ(is the) Dayl-dīniالدينٱلدِّينِ(of) Judgment?"They ask: When is the Day of Judgment?They ask [mockingly], “When is the Day of Judgment?”They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense?"They ask, "When will be the Day of Judgment and Justice?" |
| 13 | يَوۡمَ هُمۡ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ يُفۡتَنُونَyawmaيوميَوْمَA Day,humهمهُمْtheyʿalāعلىعَلَىoverl-nāriالنارٱلنَّارِthe Fireyuf'tanūnaيفتنونيُفْتَنُونَwill be tried,(It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire,It is the Day when they will be punished by the Fire.[It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire(It will be) a Day when they will be tried (and tested) over the Fire! |
| 14 | ذُوقُواْ فِتۡنَتَكُمۡ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَdhūqūذوقواذُوقُواْ"Tastefit'natakumفتنتكمفِتْنَتَكُمْyour trial.hādhāهذاهَٰذَاThisalladhīالذيٱلَّذِى(is) whatkuntumكنتمكُنتُمyou werebihiبهبِهِۦfor ittastaʿjilūnaتستعجلونتَسْتَعْجِلُونَseeking to hasten."(And it will be said unto them): Taste your torment (which ye inflicted). This is what ye sought to hasten.[It will be said], “Taste your punishment! This is what you were seeking to hasten.”[And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient.""Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!" |
| 15 | إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّٰتٖ وَعُيُونٍinnaإنإِنَّIndeed,l-mutaqīnaالمتقينٱلْمُتَّقِينَthe righteousfīفيفِى(will be) injannātinجناتجَنَّٰتٍGardenswaʿuyūninوعيونوَعُيُونٍand springs,Lo! those who keep from evil will dwell amid gardens and watersprings,Indeed, the righteous will be in gardens and springs,Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs,As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, |
| 16 | ءَاخِذِينَ مَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمۡ رَبُّهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ قَبۡلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُحۡسِنِينَākhidhīnaآخذينءَاخِذِينَTakingmāمامَآwhatātāhumآتاهمءَاتَىٰهُمْtheir Lord has given them.rabbuhumربهمرَبُّهُمْtheir Lord has given them.innahumإنهمإِنَّهُمْIndeed, theykānūكانواكَانُواْwereqablaقبلقَبْلَbeforedhālikaذلكذَٰلِكَthatmuḥ'sinīnaمحسنينمُحْسِنِينَgood-doers.Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good;receiving what their Lord will give them, for they were indeed doers of good beforehand.Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good.Taking joy in the things which their Lord gives them, because, before then, they lived a good life. |
| 17 | كَانُواْ قَلِيلٗا مِّنَ ٱلَّيۡلِ مَا يَهۡجَعُونَkānūكانواكَانُواْThey used toqalīlanقليلاقَلِيلًاlittleminaمنمِّنَofal-layliالليلٱلَّيْلِthe nightmāمامَا[what]yahjaʿūnaيهجعونيَهْجَعُونَsleep.They used to sleep but little of the night,They used to sleep only a little at night[4],They used to sleep but little of the night,[1538]They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night, |
| 18 | وَبِٱلۡأَسۡحَارِ هُمۡ يَسۡتَغۡفِرُونَwabil-asḥāriوبالأسحاروَبِٱلْأَسْحَارِAnd in the hours before dawnhumهمهُمْtheyyastaghfirūnaيستغفرونيَسْتَغْفِرُونَwould ask forgiveness,And ere the dawning of each day would seek forgiveness,and before dawn they would seek forgiveness[5],And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness,And in the hour of early dawn, they (were found) praying for Forgiveness; |
| 19 | وَفِيٓ أَمۡوَٰلِهِمۡ حَقّٞ لِّلسَّآئِلِ وَٱلۡمَحۡرُومِwafīوفيوَفِىٓAnd inamwālihimأموالهمأَمْوَٰلِهِمْtheir wealthḥaqqunحقحَقٌّ(was the) rightlilssāiliللسائللِّلسَّآئِلِ(of) those who askedwal-maḥrūmiوالمحروموَٱلْمَحْرُومِand the deprived.And in their wealth the beggar and the outcast had due share.and in their wealth, there was a share for the beggar and the destitute.And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived.And in their wealth and possessions (was remembered) the right of the (needy,) him who asked, and him who (for some reason) was prevented (from asking). |
| 20 | وَفِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ ءَايَٰتٞ لِّلۡمُوقِنِينَwafīوفيوَفِىAnd inl-arḍiالأرضٱلْأَرْضِthe earthāyātunآياتءَايَٰتٌ(are) signslil'mūqinīnaللموقنينلِّلْمُوقِنِينَfor those who are certain,And in the earth are portents for those whose faith is sure.On earth there are signs for those who are certain in faith,And on the earth are signs for the certain [in faith]On the earth are signs for those of assured Faith, |
| 21 | وَفِيٓ أَنفُسِكُمۡۚ أَفَلَا تُبۡصِرُونَwafīوفيوَفِىٓAnd inanfusikumأنفسكمأَنفُسِكُمْyourselves.afalāأفلاأَفَلَاThen will nottub'ṣirūnaتبصرونتُبْصِرُونَyou see?And (also) in yourselves. Can ye then not see?and also within yourselves. Do you not see?And in yourselves. Then will you not see?As also in your own selves: Will ye not then see? |
| 22 | وَفِي ٱلسَّمَآءِ رِزۡقُكُمۡ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَwafīوفيوَفِىAnd inl-samāiالسماءٱلسَّمَآءِthe heavenriz'qukumرزقكمرِزْقُكُمْ(is) your provisionwamāوماوَمَاand whattūʿadūnaتوعدونتُوعَدُونَyou are promised.And in the heaven is your providence and that which ye are promised;And in the heaven is your provision and all that you are promised.And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised.And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised. |
| 23 | فَوَرَبِّ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ إِنَّهُۥ لَحَقّٞ مِّثۡلَ مَآ أَنَّكُمۡ تَنطِقُونَfawarabbiفوربفَوَرَبِّThen by (the) Lordl-samāiالسماءٱلسَّمَآءِ(of) the heavenwal-arḍiوالأرضوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earth,innahuإنهإِنَّهُۥindeed, itlaḥaqqunلحقلَحَقٌّ(is) surely (the) truthmith'laمثلمِّثْلَ(just) asmāمامَآ[what]annakumأنكمأَنَّكُمْyoutanṭiqūnaتنطقونتَنطِقُونَspeak.And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth, it is the truth, even as (it is true) that ye speak.By the Lord of the heaven and earth, this [resurrection] is certainly as true as the fact that you can speak.Then by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth - just as [sure as] it is that you are speaking.Then, by the Lord of heaven and earth, this is the very Truth, as much as the fact that ye can speak intelligently to each other. |
| 24 | هَلۡ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ضَيۡفِ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ ٱلۡمُكۡرَمِينَhalهلهَلْHasatākaأتاكأَتَىٰكَreached youḥadīthuحديثحَدِيثُ(the) narrationḍayfiضيفضَيْفِ(of the) guestsib'rāhīmaإبراهيمإِبْرَٰهِيمَ(of) Ibrahiml-muk'ramīnaالمكرمينٱلْمُكْرَمِينَthe honored?Hath the story of Abraham's honoured guests reached thee (O Muhammad)?Has there come to you the story of Abraham’s honored guests[6]?Has there reached you the story of the honored guests of Abraham?[1539] -Has the story reached thee, of the honoured guests of Abraham? |
| 25 | إِذۡ دَخَلُواْ عَلَيۡهِ فَقَالُواْ سَلَٰمٗاۖ قَالَ سَلَٰمٞ قَوۡمٞ مُّنكَرُونَidhإذإِذْWhendakhalūدخلوادَخَلُواْthey enteredʿalayhiعليهعَلَيْهِupon himfaqālūفقالوافَقَالُواْand said,salāmanسلاماسَلَٰمًا"Peace."qālaقالقَالَHe said,salāmunسلامسَلَٰمٌ"Peace,qawmunقومقَوْمٌa peoplemunkarūnaمنكرونمُّنكَرُونَunknown."When they came in unto him and said: Peace! he answered, Peace! (and thought): Folk unknown (to me).When they came to him and said, “Peace.” He said, “Upon you be peace.” [saying to himself] “Unknown people!”When they entered upon him and said, "[We greet you with] peace." He answered, "[And upon you] peace; [you are] a people unknown."Behold, they entered his presence, and said: "Peace!" He said, "Peace!" (and thought, "These seem) unusual people." |
| 26 | فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهۡلِهِۦ فَجَآءَ بِعِجۡلٖ سَمِينٖfarāghaفراغفَرَاغَThen he wentilāإلىإِلَىٰٓtoahlihiأهلهأَهْلِهِۦhis householdfajāaفجاءفَجَآءَand camebiʿij'linبعجلبِعِجْلٍwith a calfsamīninسمينسَمِينٍfat,Then he went apart unto his housefolk so that they brought a fatted calf;Then he went quickly to his household, and came with a fat [roasted] calf,Then he went to his family and came with a fat [roasted] calf.Then he turned quickly to his household, brought out a fatted calf, |
| 27 | فَقَرَّبَهُۥٓ إِلَيۡهِمۡ قَالَ أَلَا تَأۡكُلُونَfaqarrabahuفقربهفَقَرَّبَهُۥٓAnd he placed it nearilayhimإليهمإِلَيْهِمْ[to] them,qālaقالقَالَhe said,alāألاأَلَا"Will nottakulūnaتأكلونتَأْكُلُونَyou eat?"And he set it before them, saying: Will ye not eat?and placed it before them and said, “Will you not eat?”And placed it near them; he said, "Will you not eat?"And placed it before them.. he said, "Will ye not eat?" |
| 28 | فَأَوۡجَسَ مِنۡهُمۡ خِيفَةٗۖ قَالُواْ لَا تَخَفۡۖ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلَٰمٍ عَلِيمٖfa-awjasaفأوجسفَأَوْجَسَThen he feltmin'humمنهممِنْهُمْfrom themkhīfatanخيفةخِيفَةًa fear.qālūقالواقَالُواْThey said,lāلالَا"(Do) nottakhafتخفتَخَفْfear,"wabasharūhuوبشروهوَبَشَّرُوهُand they gave him glad tidingsbighulāminبغلامبِغُلَٰمٍof a sonʿalīminعليمعَلِيمٍlearned.Then he conceived a fear of them. They said: Fear not! and gave him tidings of (the birth of) a wise son.He felt apprehensive about them[7]. They said, “Do not be afraid,” and gave him glad tidings of a knowledgeable son.And he felt from them apprehension.[1540] They said, "Fear not," and gave him good tidings of a learned boy.(When they did not eat), He conceived a fear of them. They said, "Fear not," and they gave him glad tidings of a son endowed with knowledge. |
| 29 | فَأَقۡبَلَتِ ٱمۡرَأَتُهُۥ فِي صَرَّةٖ فَصَكَّتۡ وَجۡهَهَا وَقَالَتۡ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمٞfa-aqbalatiفأقبلتفَأَقْبَلَتِThen came forwardim'ra-atuhuامرأتهٱمْرَأَتُهُۥhis wifefīفيفِىwithṣarratinصرةصَرَّةٍa loud voice,faṣakkatفصكتفَصَكَّتْand struckwajhahāوجههاوَجْهَهَاher facewaqālatوقالتوَقَالَتْand she said,ʿajūzunعجوزعَجُوزٌ"An old womanʿaqīmunعقيمعَقِيمٌbarren!"Then his wife came forward, making moan, and smote her face, and cried: A barren old woman!His wife cried out loud, and struck her face [in astonishment] and said, “[I am] a barren old woman!”And his wife approached with a cry [of alarm] and struck her face and said, "[I am] a barren old woman!"But his wife came forward (laughing) aloud: she smote her forehead and said: "A barren old woman!" |
| 30 | قَالُواْ كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِۖ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلۡحَكِيمُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُqālūقالواقَالُواْThey said,kadhālikiكذلككَذَٰلِكِ"Thusqālaقالقَالَsaidrabbukiربكرَبُّكِyour Lord.innahuإنهإِنَّهُۥIndeed, Hehuwaهوهُوَ[He]l-ḥakīmuالحكيمٱلْحَكِيمُ(is) the All-Wise,l-ʿalīmuالعليمٱلْعَلِيمُthe All-Knower."They said: Even so saith thy Lord. Lo! He is the Wise, the Knower.They said, “This is what your Lord said. Indeed, He is the All-Wise, the All-Knowing.”They said, "Thus has said your Lord; indeed, He is the Wise, the Knowing."They said, "Even so has thy Lord spoken: and He is full of Wisdom and Knowledge." |
| 31 | ۞ قَالَ فَمَا خَطۡبُكُمۡ أَيُّهَا ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَqālaقالقَالَHe said,famāفمافَمَا"Then whatkhaṭbukumخطبكمخَطْبُكُمْ(is) your mission,ayyuhāأيهاأَيُّهَاO messengers?"l-mur'salūnaالمرسلونٱلْمُرْسَلُونَO messengers?"(Abraham) said: And (afterward) what is your errand, O ye sent (from Allah)?Abraham said, “Then what is your mission, O messengers?”[Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers?"(Abraham) said: "And what, O ye Messengers, is your errand (now)?" |
| 32 | قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّآ أُرۡسِلۡنَآ إِلَىٰ قَوۡمٖ مُّجۡرِمِينَqālūقالواقَالُوٓاْThey said,innāإناإِنَّآ"Indeed, weur'sil'nāأرسلناأُرْسِلْنَآ[we] have been sentilāإلىإِلَىٰtoqawminقومقَوْمٍa peoplemuj'rimīnaمجرمينمُّجْرِمِينَcriminal,They said: Lo! we are sent unto a guilty folk,They said, “We have been sent to a wicked people,They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals[1541]They said, "We have been sent to a people (deep) in sin;- |
| 33 | لِنُرۡسِلَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ حِجَارَةٗ مِّن طِينٖlinur'silaلنرسللِنُرْسِلَThat we may send downʿalayhimعليهمعَلَيْهِمْupon themḥijāratanحجارةحِجَارَةًstonesminمنمِّنofṭīninطينطِينٍclay,That we may send upon them stones of clay,to send down upon them stones of clay,To send down upon them stones of clay,"To bring on, on them, (a shower of) stones of clay (brimstone), |
| 34 | مُّسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلۡمُسۡرِفِينَmusawwamatanمسومةمُّسَوَّمَةًMarkedʿindaعندعِندَby your Lordrabbikaربكرَبِّكَby your Lordlil'mus'rifīnaللمسرفينلِلْمُسْرِفِينَfor the transgressors."Marked by thy Lord for (the destruction of) the wanton.marked by your Lord for the transgressors.”Marked in the presence of your Lord for the transgressors.""Marked as from thy Lord for those who trespass beyond bounds." |
| 35 | فَأَخۡرَجۡنَا مَن كَانَ فِيهَا مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَfa-akhrajnāفأخرجنافَأَخْرَجْنَاThen We brought outmanمنمَن(those) whokānaكانكَانَwerefīhāفيهافِيهَاthereinminaمنمِنَofl-mu'minīnaالمؤمنينٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَthe believers.Then we brought forth such believers as were there.We brought out those believers who were there,So We brought out whoever was in them [i.e., the cities] of the believers.Then We evacuated those of the Believers who were there, |
| 36 | فَمَا وَجَدۡنَا فِيهَا غَيۡرَ بَيۡتٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡمُسۡلِمِينَfamāفمافَمَاBut notwajadnāوجدناوَجَدْنَاWe foundfīhāفيهافِيهَاthereinghayraغيرغَيْرَother thanbaytinبيتبَيْتٍa houseminaمنمِّنَofl-mus'limīnaالمسلمينٱلْمُسْلِمِينَthe Muslims.But We found there but one house of those surrendered (to Allah).but We only found in it one Muslim household[8].And We found not within them other than a [single] house of Muslims.[1542]But We found not there any just (Muslim) persons except in one house: |
| 37 | وَتَرَكۡنَا فِيهَآ ءَايَةٗ لِّلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ ٱلۡعَذَابَ ٱلۡأَلِيمَwataraknāوتركناوَتَرَكْنَاAnd We leftfīhāفيهافِيهَآthereināyatanآيةءَايَةًa Signlilladhīnaللذينلِّلَّذِينَfor those whoyakhāfūnaيخافونيَخَافُونَfearl-ʿadhābaالعذابٱلْعَذَابَthe punishmentl-alīmaالأليمٱلْأَلِيمَthe painful.And We left behind therein a portent for those who fear a painful doom.And We left there a sign[9] for those who fear the painful punishment.And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment.And We left there a Sign for such as fear the Grievous Penalty. |
| 38 | وَفِي مُوسَىٰٓ إِذۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَٰهُ إِلَىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنَ بِسُلۡطَٰنٖ مُّبِينٖwafīوفيوَفِىAnd inmūsāموسىمُوسَىٰٓMusa,idhإذإِذْwhenarsalnāhuأرسلناهأَرْسَلْنَٰهُWe sent himilāإلىإِلَىٰtofir'ʿawnaفرعونفِرْعَوْنَFiraunbisul'ṭāninبسلطانبِسُلْطَٰنٍwith an authoritymubīninمبينمُّبِينٍclear.And in Moses (too, there is a portent) when We sent him unto Pharaoh with clear warrant,And [there is a sign in the story of] Moses when We sent him to Pharaoh with compelling proofs,And in Moses [was a sign], when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority.[1543]And in Moses (was another Sign): Behold, We sent him to Pharaoh, with authority manifest. |
| 39 | فَتَوَلَّىٰ بِرُكۡنِهِۦ وَقَالَ سَٰحِرٌ أَوۡ مَجۡنُونٞfatawallāفتولىفَتَوَلَّىٰBut he turned awaybiruk'nihiبركنهبِرُكْنِهِۦwith his supporterswaqālaوقالوَقَالَand said,sāḥirunساحرسَٰحِرٌ"A magicianawأوأَوْormajnūnunمجنونمَجْنُونٌa madman."But he withdrew (confiding) in his might, and said: A wizard or a madman.But he and his supporters turned away, and he said about [Moses], “A magician or a madman!”But he turned away with his supporters and said, "A magician or a madman."But (Pharaoh) turned back with his Chiefs, and said, "A sorcerer, or one possessed!" |
| 40 | فَأَخَذۡنَٰهُ وَجُنُودَهُۥ فَنَبَذۡنَٰهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٞfa-akhadhnāhuفأخذناهفَأَخَذْنَٰهُSo We took himwajunūdahuوجنودهوَجُنُودَهُۥand his hostsfanabadhnāhumفنبذناهمفَنَبَذْنَٰهُمْand threw themfīفيفِىintol-yamiاليمٱلْيَمِّthe sea,wahuwaوهووَهُوَwhile hemulīmunمليممُلِيمٌ(was) blameworthy.So We seized him and his hosts and flung them in the sea, for he was reprobate.So We seized him and his soldiers and cast them into the sea while he was blameworthy[10].So We took him and his soldiers and cast them into the sea, and he was blameworthy.So We took him and his forces, and threw them into the sea; and his was the blame. |
| 41 | وَفِي عَادٍ إِذۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلرِّيحَ ٱلۡعَقِيمَwafīوفيوَفِىAnd inʿādinعادعَادٍAad,idhإذإِذْwhenarsalnāأرسلناأَرْسَلْنَاWe sentʿalayhimuعليهمعَلَيْهِمُagainst theml-rīḥaالريحٱلرِّيحَthe windl-ʿaqīmaالعقيمٱلْعَقِيمَthe barren.And in (the tribe of) A'ad (there is a portent) when we sent the fatal wind against them.And [there is a sign in the story of] ‘Ād, when We sent against them the devastating barren wind[11].And in ʿAad [was a sign], when We sent against them the barren wind.[1544]And in the 'Ad (people) (was another Sign): Behold, We sent against them the devastating Wind: |
| 42 | مَا تَذَرُ مِن شَيۡءٍ أَتَتۡ عَلَيۡهِ إِلَّا جَعَلَتۡهُ كَٱلرَّمِيمِmāمامَاNottadharuتذرتَذَرُit leftminمنمِنanyshayinشيءشَىْءٍthingatatأتتأَتَتْit cameʿalayhiعليهعَلَيْهِupon it,illāإلاإِلَّاbutjaʿalathuجعلتهجَعَلَتْهُit made itkal-ramīmiكالرميمكَٱلرَّمِيمِlike disintegrated ruins.It spared naught that it reached, but made it (all) as dust.It spared nothing it came upon except that it reduced it to ruin and decay.It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins.It left nothing whatever that it came up against, but reduced it to ruin and rottenness. |
| 43 | وَفِي ثَمُودَ إِذۡ قِيلَ لَهُمۡ تَمَتَّعُواْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٖwafīوفيوَفِىAnd inthamūdaثمودثَمُودَThamud,idhإذإِذْwhenqīlaقيلقِيلَwas saidlahumلهملَهُمْto them,tamattaʿūتمتعواتَمَتَّعُواْ"Enjoy (yourselves)ḥattāحتىحَتَّىٰforḥīninحينحِينٍa time."And in (the tribe of) Thamud (there is a portent) when it was told them: Take your ease awhile.And [there is a sign in the story of] Thamūd, when they were told, “Enjoy yourselves for a while[12].”And in Thamūd, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time."And in the Thamud (was another Sign): Behold, they were told, "Enjoy (your brief day) for a little while!" |
| 44 | فَعَتَوۡاْ عَنۡ أَمۡرِ رَبِّهِمۡ فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلصَّٰعِقَةُ وَهُمۡ يَنظُرُونَfaʿatawفعتوافَعَتَوْاْBut they rebelledʿanعنعَنْagainstamriأمرأَمْرِ(the) Commandrabbihimربهمرَبِّهِمْ(of) their Lord,fa-akhadhathumuفأخذتهمفَأَخَذَتْهُمُso seized theml-ṣāʿiqatuالصاعقةٱلصَّٰعِقَةُthe thunderboltwahumوهموَهُمْwhile theyyanẓurūnaينظرونيَنظُرُونَwere looking.But they rebelled against their Lord's decree, and so the thunderbolt overtook them even while they gazed;But they rebelled against the command of their Lord, so the thunderbolt seized them, while they were looking on.But they were insolent toward the command of their Lord, so the thunderbolt seized them while they were looking on.But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord: So the stunning noise (of an earthquake) seized them, even while they were looking on. |
| 45 | فَمَا ٱسۡتَطَٰعُواْ مِن قِيَامٖ وَمَا كَانُواْ مُنتَصِرِينَfamāفمافَمَاThen notis'taṭāʿūاستطاعواٱسْتَطَٰعُواْthey were able tominمنمِن[of]qiyāminقيامقِيَامٍstandwamāوماوَمَاand notkānūكانواكَانُواْthey couldmuntaṣirīnaمنتصرينمُنتَصِرِينَhelp themselves.And they were unable to rise up, nor could they help themselves.They could not withstand it, nor could they ward it off.And they were unable to arise, nor could they defend themselves.Then they could not even stand (on their feet), nor could they help themselves. |
| 46 | وَقَوۡمَ نُوحٖ مِّن قَبۡلُۖ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ قَوۡمٗا فَٰسِقِينَwaqawmaوقوموَقَوْمَAnd (the) peoplenūḥinنوحنُوحٍ(of) Nuhminمنمِّنbefore;qabluقبلقَبْلُbefore;innahumإنهمإِنَّهُمْindeed, theykānūكانواكَانُواْwereqawmanقوماقَوْمًاa peoplefāsiqīnaفاسقينفَٰسِقِينَdefiantly disobedient.And the folk of Noah aforetime. Lo! they were licentious folk.And the people of Noah [were also destroyed] before them. They were indeed a rebellious people.And [We destroyed] the people of Noah before; indeed, they were a people defiantly disobedient.So were the People of Noah before them for they wickedly transgressed. |
| 47 | وَٱلسَّمَآءَ بَنَيۡنَٰهَا بِأَيۡيْدٖ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَwal-samāaوالسماءوَٱلسَّمَآءَAnd the heavenbanaynāhāبنيناهابَنَيْنَٰهَاWe constructed itbi-aydinبأيدبِأَيْيْدٍwith strength,wa-innāوإناوَإِنَّاand indeed, Welamūsiʿūnaلموسعونلَمُوسِعُونَ(are) surely (its) Expanders.We have built the heaven with might, and We it is Who make the vast extent (thereof).We built the heaven with might[13], and We are indeed expanding it.And the heaven We constructed with strength,[1545] and indeed, We are [its] expander.With power and skill did We construct the Firmament: for it is We Who create the vastness of pace. |
| 48 | وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ فَرَشۡنَٰهَا فَنِعۡمَ ٱلۡمَٰهِدُونَwal-arḍaوالأرضوَٱلْأَرْضَAnd the earth,farashnāhāفرشناهافَرَشْنَٰهَاWe have spread it;faniʿ'maفنعمفَنِعْمَhow excellentl-māhidūnaالماهدونٱلْمَٰهِدُونَ(are) the Spreaders!And the earth have We laid out, how gracious is the Spreader (thereof)!And We spread out the earth. How well did We smooth it out[14]!And the earth We have spread out, and excellent is the preparer.And We have spread out the (spacious) earth: How excellently We do spread out! |
| 49 | وَمِن كُلِّ شَيۡءٍ خَلَقۡنَا زَوۡجَيۡنِ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَذَكَّرُونَwaminومنوَمِنAnd ofkulliكلكُلِّeveryshayinشيءشَىْءٍthingkhalaqnāخلقناخَلَقْنَاWe have createdzawjayniزوجينزَوْجَيْنِpairs,laʿallakumلعلكملَعَلَّكُمْso that you maytadhakkarūnaتذكرونتَذَكَّرُونَremember.And all things We have created by pairs, that haply ye may reflect.And We have created everything in pairs[15], so that you may take heed.And of all things We created two mates [i.e., counterparts]; perhaps you will remember.And of every thing We have created pairs: That ye may receive instruction. |
| 50 | فَفِرُّوٓاْ إِلَى ٱللَّهِۖ إِنِّي لَكُم مِّنۡهُ نَذِيرٞ مُّبِينٞfafirrūففروافَفِرُّوٓاْSo fleeilāإلىإِلَىtol-lahiاللهٱللَّهِAllah,innīإنيإِنِّىindeed, I amlakumلكملَكُمto youmin'huمنهمِّنْهُfrom Himnadhīrunنذيرنَذِيرٌa warnermubīnunمبينمُّبِينٌclear.Therefor flee unto Allah; lo! I am a plain warner unto you from him.So flee to Allah[16]. Indeed, I am a clear warner to you from Him.So flee to Allāh.[1546] Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner.Hasten ye then (at once) to Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open! |
| 51 | وَلَا تَجۡعَلُواْ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَۖ إِنِّي لَكُم مِّنۡهُ نَذِيرٞ مُّبِينٞwalāولاوَلَاAnd (do) nottajʿalūتجعلواتَجْعَلُواْmakemaʿaمعمَعَwithl-lahiاللهٱللَّهِAllahilāhanإلهاإِلَٰهًاgodākharaآخرءَاخَرَanother.innīإنيإِنِّىIndeed, I amlakumلكملَكُمto youmin'huمنهمِّنْهُfrom Himnadhīrunنذيرنَذِيرٌa warnermubīnunمبينمُّبِينٌclear.And set not any other god along with Allah; lo! I am a plain warner unto you from Him.And do not set up another god with Allah. Indeed, I am a clear warner to you from Him.”And do not make [as equal] with Allāh another deity. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner.And make not another an object of worship with Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open! |
| 52 | كَذَٰلِكَ مَآ أَتَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا قَالُواْ سَاحِرٌ أَوۡ مَجۡنُونٌkadhālikaكذلككَذَٰلِكَLikewisemāمامَآnotatāأتىأَتَىcamealladhīnaالذينٱلَّذِينَ(to) thoseminمنمِنbefore themqablihimقبلهمقَبْلِهِمbefore themminمنمِّنanyrasūlinرسولرَّسُولٍMessengerillāإلاإِلَّاbutqālūقالواقَالُواْthey said,sāḥirunساحرسَاحِرٌ"A magicianawأوأَوْormajnūnunمجنونمَجْنُونٌa madman."Even so there came no messenger unto those before them but they said: A wizard or a madman!Likewise, no messenger came to those before them without being told: “A magician, or a madman!”Similarly, there came not to those before them any messenger except that they said, "A magician or a madman."Similarly, no messenger came to the Peoples before them, but they said (of him) in like manner, "A sorcerer, or one possessed"! |
| 53 | أَتَوَاصَوۡاْ بِهِۦۚ بَلۡ هُمۡ قَوۡمٞ طَاغُونَatawāṣawأتواصواأَتَوَاصَوْاْHave they transmitted it to them?bihiبهبِهِۦHave they transmitted it to them?balبلبَلْNay,humهمهُمْtheyqawmunقومقَوْمٌ(are) a peopleṭāghūnaطاغونطَاغُونَtransgressing.Have they handed down (the saying) as an heirloom one unto another? Nay, but they are froward folk.Did they suggest this to one another[17]? Rather they are transgressing people.Did they suggest it to them?[1547] Rather, they [themselves] are a transgressing people.Is this the legacy they have transmitted, one to another? Nay, they are themselves a people transgressing beyond bounds! |
| 54 | فَتَوَلَّ عَنۡهُمۡ فَمَآ أَنتَ بِمَلُومٖfatawallaفتولفَتَوَلَّSo turn awayʿanhumعنهمعَنْهُمْfrom them,famāفمافَمَآfor notantaأنتأَنتَyoubimalūminبملومبِمَلُومٍ(are) to be blamed.So withdraw from them (O Muhammad), for thou art in no wise blameworthy,So turn away from them [O Prophet], for you are not to blame[18].So leave them, [O Muḥammad], for you are not to be blamed.So turn away from them: not thine is the blame. |
| 55 | وَذَكِّرۡ فَإِنَّ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰ تَنفَعُ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَwadhakkirوذكروَذَكِّرْAnd remind,fa-innaفإنفَإِنَّfor indeed,l-dhik'rāالذكرىٱلذِّكْرَىٰthe remindertanfaʿuتنفعتَنفَعُbenefitsl-mu'minīnaالمؤمنينٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَthe believers.And warn, for warning profiteth believers.But keep reminding them, for reminder benefits the believers.And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers.But teach (thy Message) for teaching benefits the Believers. |
| 56 | وَمَا خَلَقۡتُ ٱلۡجِنَّ وَٱلۡإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعۡبُدُونِwamāوماوَمَاAnd notkhalaqtuخلقتخَلَقْتُI have createdl-jinaالجنٱلْجِنَّthe jinnwal-insaوالإنسوَٱلْإِنسَand the mankindillāإلاإِلَّاexceptliyaʿbudūniليعبدونلِيَعْبُدُونِthat they worship Me.I created the jinn and humankind only that they might worship Me.I have not created the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.I have only created Jinns and men, that they may serve Me. |
| 57 | مَآ أُرِيدُ مِنۡهُم مِّن رِّزۡقٖ وَمَآ أُرِيدُ أَن يُطۡعِمُونِmāمامَآNoturīduأريدأُرِيدُI wantmin'humمنهممِنْهُمfrom themminمنمِّنanyriz'qinرزقرِّزْقٍprovisionwamāوماوَمَآand noturīduأريدأُرِيدُI wantanأنأَنthatyuṭ'ʿimūniيطعمونيُطْعِمُونِthey (should) feed Me.I seek no livelihood from them, nor do I ask that they should feed Me.I seek no provision from them, nor do I want them to feed Me.I do not want from them any provision, nor do I want them to feed Me.No Sustenance do I require of them, nor do I require that they should feed Me. |
| 58 | إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلرَّزَّاقُ ذُو ٱلۡقُوَّةِ ٱلۡمَتِينُinnaإنإِنَّIndeed,l-lahaاللهٱللَّهَAllah,huwaهوهُوَHel-razāquالرزاقٱلرَّزَّاقُ(is) the All-Provider,dhūذوذُوPossessorl-quwatiالقوةٱلْقُوَّةِ(of) Powerl-matīnuالمتينٱلْمَتِينُthe Strong.Lo! Allah! He it is that giveth livelihood, the Lord of unbreakable might.Indeed, it is Allah Who is the All-Provider[19], Lord of Power, the Mighty.Indeed, it is Allāh who is the [continual] Provider,[1548] the firm possessor of strength.For Allah is He Who gives (all) Sustenance,- Lord of Power,- Steadfast (for ever). |
| 59 | فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ ذَنُوبٗا مِّثۡلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصۡحَٰبِهِمۡ فَلَا يَسۡتَعۡجِلُونِfa-innaفإنفَإِنَّSo indeed,lilladhīnaللذينلِلَّذِينَfor those whoẓalamūظلمواظَلَمُواْdo wrong,dhanūbanذنوباذَنُوبًا(is) a portionmith'laمثلمِّثْلَlikedhanūbiذنوبذَنُوبِ(the) portionaṣḥābihimأصحابهمأَصْحَٰبِهِمْ(of) their companions,falāفلافَلَاso let them not ask Me to hasten.yastaʿjilūniيستعجلونيَسْتَعْجِلُونِso let them not ask Me to hasten.And lo! for those who (now) do wrong there is an evil day like unto the evil day (which came for) their likes (of old); so let them not ask Me to hasten on (that day).Indeed, those who do wrong will have a share [of punishment] like that of their predecessors, so let them not ask Me to hasten it.And indeed, for those who have wronged is a portion [of punishment] like the portion of their companions [i.e., predecessors], so let them not impatiently urge Me.For the Wrong-doers, their portion is like unto the portion of their fellows (of earlier generations): then let them not ask Me to hasten (that portion)! |
| 60 | فَوَيۡلٞ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِن يَوۡمِهِمُ ٱلَّذِي يُوعَدُونَfawaylunفويلفَوَيْلٌThen woelilladhīnaللذينلِّلَّذِينَto those whokafarūكفرواكَفَرُواْdisbelieveminمنمِنfromyawmihimuيومهميَوْمِهِمُtheir Dayalladhīالذيٱلَّذِىwhichyūʿadūnaيوعدونيُوعَدُونَthey are promised.And woe unto those who disbelieve, from (that) their day which they are promised.So woe to those who disbelieve from [the punishment of] the Day which they are promised.And woe to those who have disbelieved from their Day which they are promised.Woe, then, to the Unbelievers, on account of that Day of theirs which they have been promised! |
| 1 | وَالذَّارِيَاتِ ذَرْوًا |
| 2 | فَالْحَامِلَاتِ وِقْرًا |
| 3 | فَالْجَارِيَاتِ يُسْرًا |
| 4 | فَالْمُقَسِّمَاتِ أَمْرًا |
| 5 | إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَصَادِقٌ |
| 6 | وَإِنَّ الدِّينَ لَوَاقِعٌ |
| 7 | وَالسَّمَاءِ ذَاتِ الْحُبُكِ |
| 8 | إِنَّكُمْ لَفِي قَوْلٍ مُّخْتَلِفٍ |
| 9 | يُؤْفَكُ عَنْهُ مَنْ أُفِكَ |
| 10 | قُتِلَ الْخَرَّاصُونَ |
| 11 | الَّذِينَ هُمْ فِي غَمْرَةٍ سَاهُونَ |
| 12 | يَسْأَلُونَ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ الدِّينِ |
| 13 | يَوْمَ هُمْ عَلَى النَّارِ يُفْتَنُونَ |
| 14 | ذُوقُوا فِتْنَتَكُمْ هَٰذَا الَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ |
| 15 | إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ |
| 16 | آخِذِينَ مَا آتَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَبْلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُحْسِنِينَ |
| 17 | كَانُوا قَلِيلًا مِّنَ اللَّيْلِ مَا يَهْجَعُونَ |
| 18 | وَبِالْأَسْحَارِ هُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ |
| 19 | وَفِي أَمْوَالِهِمْ حَقٌّ لِّلسَّائِلِ وَالْمَحْرُومِ |
| 20 | وَفِي الْأَرْضِ آيَاتٌ لِّلْمُوقِنِينَ |
| 21 | وَفِي أَنفُسِكُمْ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ |
| 22 | وَفِي السَّمَاءِ رِزْقُكُمْ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَ |
| 23 | فَوَرَبِّ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ إِنَّهُ لَحَقٌّ مِّثْلَ مَا أَنَّكُمْ تَنطِقُونَ |
| 24 | هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ ضَيْفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْمُكْرَمِينَ |
| 25 | إِذْ دَخَلُوا عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا سَلَامًا قَالَ سَلَامٌ قَوْمٌ مُّنكَرُونَ |
| 26 | فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهِ فَجَاءَ بِعِجْلٍ سَمِينٍ |
| 27 | فَقَرَّبَهُ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ |
| 28 | فَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةً قَالُوا لَا تَخَفْ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلَامٍ عَلِيمٍ |
| 29 | فَأَقْبَلَتِ امْرَأَتُهُ فِي صَرَّةٍ فَصَكَّتْ وَجْهَهَا وَقَالَتْ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمٌ |
| 30 | قَالُوا كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْحَكِيمُ الْعَلِيمُ |
| 31 | ۞ قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا الْمُرْسَلُونَ |
| 32 | قَالُوا إِنَّا أُرْسِلْنَا إِلَىٰ قَوْمٍ مُّجْرِمِينَ |
| 33 | لِنُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِّن طِينٍ |
| 34 | مُّسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ |
| 35 | فَأَخْرَجْنَا مَن كَانَ فِيهَا مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ |
| 36 | فَمَا وَجَدْنَا فِيهَا غَيْرَ بَيْتٍ مِّنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ |
| 37 | وَتَرَكْنَا فِيهَا آيَةً لِّلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ الْعَذَابَ الْأَلِيمَ |
| 38 | وَفِي مُوسَىٰ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَاهُ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ بِسُلْطَانٍ مُّبِينٍ |
| 39 | فَتَوَلَّىٰ بِرُكْنِهِ وَقَالَ سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ |
| 40 | فَأَخَذْنَاهُ وَجُنُودَهُ فَنَبَذْنَاهُمْ فِي الْيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ |
| 41 | وَفِي عَادٍ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ الرِّيحَ الْعَقِيمَ |
| 42 | مَا تَذَرُ مِن شَيْءٍ أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا جَعَلَتْهُ كَالرَّمِيمِ |
| 43 | وَفِي ثَمُودَ إِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَمَتَّعُوا حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ |
| 44 | فَعَتَوْا عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّاعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ |
| 45 | فَمَا اسْتَطَاعُوا مِن قِيَامٍ وَمَا كَانُوا مُنتَصِرِينَ |
| 46 | وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِّن قَبْلُ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمًا فَاسِقِينَ |
| 47 | وَالسَّمَاءَ بَنَيْنَاهَا بِأَيْدٍ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ |
| 48 | وَالْأَرْضَ فَرَشْنَاهَا فَنِعْمَ الْمَاهِدُونَ |
| 49 | وَمِن كُلِّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ |
| 50 | فَفِرُّوا إِلَى اللَّهِ إِنِّي لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ |
| 51 | وَلَا تَجْعَلُوا مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ إِنِّي لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ |
| 52 | كَذَٰلِكَ مَا أَتَى الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا قَالُوا سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ |
| 53 | أَتَوَاصَوْا بِهِ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ |
| 54 | فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَمَا أَنتَ بِمَلُومٍ |
| 55 | وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ الذِّكْرَىٰ تَنفَعُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ |
| 56 | وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ |
| 57 | مَا أُرِيدُ مِنْهُم مِّن رِّزْقٍ وَمَا أُرِيدُ أَن يُطْعِمُونِ |
| 58 | إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الرَّزَّاقُ ذُو الْقُوَّةِ الْمَتِينُ |
| 59 | فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا ذَنُوبًا مِّثْلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصْحَابِهِمْ فَلَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونِ |
| 60 | فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِن يَوْمِهِمُ الَّذِي يُوعَدُونَ |
| 1 | وَٱلذَّٰرِيَٰتِ ذَرْوٗاwal-dhāriyātiوالذارياتوَٱلذَّٰرِيَٰتِBy those scattering,dharwanذرواذَرْوًاdispersing,By those that winnow with a winnowingBy the winds that scatter [dust],By the [winds] scattering [dust], dispersing [it]By the (Winds) that scatter broadcast; |
| 2 | فَٱلْحَٰمِلَٰتِ وِقْرٗاfal-ḥāmilātiفالحاملاتفَٱلْحَٰمِلَٰتِAnd those carryingwiq'ranوقراوِقْرًاa load,And those that bear the burden (of the rain)and by the clouds carrying loads of water,And the [clouds] carrying a load [of water]And those that lift and bear away heavy weights; |
| 3 | فَٱلْجَٰرِيَٰتِ يُسْرٗاfal-jāriyātiفالجارياتفَٱلْجَٰرِيَٰتِAnd those sailingyus'ranيسرايُسْرًا(with) ease,And those that glide with ease (upon the sea)and by the ships that sail with ease,And the ships sailing with easeAnd those that flow with ease and gentleness; |
| 4 | فَٱلْمُقَسِّمَٰتِ أَمْرًاfal-muqasimātiفالمقسماتفَٱلْمُقَسِّمَٰتِAnd those distributingamranأمراأَمْرًاCommand,And those who distribute (blessings) by command,and by the angels who distribute [blessings] by His command.And the [angels] apportioning [each] matter,And those that distribute and apportion by Command;- |
| 5 | إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَصَادِقَinnamāإنماإِنَّمَاIndeed, whattūʿadūnaتوعدونتُوعَدُونَyou are promisedlaṣādiqunلصادقلَصَادِقٌ(is) surely true,Lo! that wherewith ye are threatened is indeed true,Indeed, what you are promised is true,Indeed, what you are promised is true.Verily that which ye are promised is true; |
| 6 | وَإِنَّ ٱلدِّينَ لَوَٰقِعَwa-innaوإنوَإِنَّAnd indeed,l-dīnaالدينٱلدِّينَthe Judgmentlawāqiʿunلواقعلَوَٰقِعٌ(is) surely to occur.And lo! the judgment will indeed befall.and the Judgment will surely come to pass.And indeed, the recompense is to occur.And verily Judgment and Justice must indeed come to pass. |
| 7 | وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلْحُبُكِwal-samāiوالسماءوَٱلسَّمَآءِBy the heavendhātiذاتذَاتِfull ofl-ḥubukiالحبكٱلْحُبُكِpathways.By the heaven full of paths,By the heaven with its pathways[1],By the heaven containing pathways,[1535]By the Sky with (its) numerous Paths, |
| 8 | إِنَّكُمْ لَفِي قَوْلٖ مُّخْتَلِفٖinnakumإنكمإِنَّكُمْIndeed, youlafīلفيلَفِى(are) surely inqawlinقولقَوْلٍa speechmukh'talifinمختلفمُّخْتَلِفٍdiffering.Lo! ye, forsooth, are of various opinion (concerning the truth).Indeed, you [Makkans] have conflicting views[2].Indeed, you are in differing speech.[1536]Truly ye are in a doctrine discordant, |
| 9 | يُؤْفَكُ عَنْهُ مَنْ أُفِكَyu'fakuيؤفكيُؤْفَكُDeluded awayʿanhuعنهعَنْهُfrom itmanمنمَنْ(is he) whoufikaأفكأُفِكَis deluded.He is made to turn away from it who is (himself) averse.He who is diverted from it is destined to be diverted.Deluded away from it [i.e., the Qur’ān] is he who is deluded.Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded. |
| 10 | قُتِلَ ٱلْخَرَّٰصُونَqutilaقتلقُتِلَCursed bel-kharāṣūnaالخراصونٱلْخَرَّٰصُونَthe liars,Accursed be the conjecturersDoomed[3] are those who base their beliefs on conjecture.Destroyed are the misinformers[1537]Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- |
| 11 | ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ فِي غَمْرَةٖ سَاهُونَalladhīnaالذينٱلَّذِينَThose whohumهمهُمْ[they]fīفيفِى(are) inghamratinغمرةغَمْرَةٍfloodsāhūnaساهونسَاهُونَ(of) heedlessness.Who are careless in an abyss!those who are steeped in ignorance heedlessly.Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless.Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion: |
| 12 | يَسْـَٔلُونَ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِyasalūnaيسألونيَسْـَٔلُونَThey ask,ayyānaأيانأَيَّانَ"Whenyawmuيوميَوْمُ(is the) Dayl-dīniالدينٱلدِّينِ(of) Judgment?"They ask: When is the Day of Judgment?They ask [mockingly], “When is the Day of Judgment?”They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense?"They ask, "When will be the Day of Judgment and Justice?" |
| 13 | يَوْمَ هُمْ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ يُفْتَنُونَyawmaيوميَوْمَA Day,humهمهُمْtheyʿalāعلىعَلَىoverl-nāriالنارٱلنَّارِthe Fireyuf'tanūnaيفتنونيُفْتَنُونَwill be tried,(It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire,It is the Day when they will be punished by the Fire.[It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire(It will be) a Day when they will be tried (and tested) over the Fire! |
| 14 | ذُوقُواْ فِتْنَتَكُمْ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَdhūqūذوقواذُوقُواْ"Tastefit'natakumفتنتكمفِتْنَتَكُمْyour trial.hādhāهذاهَٰذَاThisalladhīالذيٱلَّذِى(is) whatkuntumكنتمكُنتُمyou werebihiبهبِهِۦfor ittastaʿjilūnaتستعجلونتَسْتَعْجِلُونَseeking to hasten."(And it will be said unto them): Taste your torment (which ye inflicted). This is what ye sought to hasten.[It will be said], “Taste your punishment! This is what you were seeking to hasten.”[And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient.""Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!" |
| 15 | إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّٰتٖ وَعُيُونٍinnaإنإِنَّIndeed,l-mutaqīnaالمتقينٱلْمُتَّقِينَthe righteousfīفيفِى(will be) injannātinجناتجَنَّٰتٍGardenswaʿuyūninوعيونوَعُيُونٍand springs,Lo! those who keep from evil will dwell amid gardens and watersprings,Indeed, the righteous will be in gardens and springs,Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs,As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, |
| 16 | ءَاخِذِينَ مَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُواْ قَبْلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُحْسِنِينَākhidhīnaآخذينءَاخِذِينَTakingmāمامَآwhatātāhumآتاهمءَاتَىٰهُمْtheir Lord has given them.rabbuhumربهمرَبُّهُمْtheir Lord has given them.innahumإنهمإِنَّهُمْIndeed, theykānūكانواكَانُواْwereqablaقبلقَبْلَbeforedhālikaذلكذَٰلِكَthatmuḥ'sinīnaمحسنينمُحْسِنِينَgood-doers.Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good;receiving what their Lord will give them, for they were indeed doers of good beforehand.Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good.Taking joy in the things which their Lord gives them, because, before then, they lived a good life. |
| 17 | كَانُواْ قَلِيلٗا مِّنَ ٱلَّيْلِ مَا يَهْجَعُونَkānūكانواكَانُواْThey used toqalīlanقليلاقَلِيلًاlittleminaمنمِّنَofal-layliالليلٱلَّيْلِthe nightmāمامَا[what]yahjaʿūnaيهجعونيَهْجَعُونَsleep.They used to sleep but little of the night,They used to sleep only a little at night[4],They used to sleep but little of the night,[1538]They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night, |
| 18 | وَبِٱلْأَسْحَارِ هُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَwabil-asḥāriوبالأسحاروَبِٱلْأَسْحَارِAnd in the hours before dawnhumهمهُمْtheyyastaghfirūnaيستغفرونيَسْتَغْفِرُونَwould ask forgiveness,And ere the dawning of each day would seek forgiveness,and before dawn they would seek forgiveness[5],And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness,And in the hour of early dawn, they (were found) praying for Forgiveness; |
| 19 | وَفِيٓ أَمْوَٰلِهِمْ حَقَّ لِّلسَّآئِلِ وَٱلْمَحْرُومِwafīوفيوَفِىٓAnd inamwālihimأموالهمأَمْوَٰلِهِمْtheir wealthḥaqqunحقحَقٌّ(was the) rightlilssāiliللسائللِّلسَّآئِلِ(of) those who askedwal-maḥrūmiوالمحروموَٱلْمَحْرُومِand the deprived.And in their wealth the beggar and the outcast had due share.and in their wealth, there was a share for the beggar and the destitute.And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived.And in their wealth and possessions (was remembered) the right of the (needy,) him who asked, and him who (for some reason) was prevented (from asking). |
| 20 | وَفِي ٱلْأَرْضِ ءَايَٰتَ لِّلْمُوقِنِينَwafīوفيوَفِىAnd inl-arḍiالأرضٱلْأَرْضِthe earthāyātunآياتءَايَٰتٌ(are) signslil'mūqinīnaللموقنينلِّلْمُوقِنِينَfor those who are certain,And in the earth are portents for those whose faith is sure.On earth there are signs for those who are certain in faith,And on the earth are signs for the certain [in faith]On the earth are signs for those of assured Faith, |
| 21 | وَفِيٓ أَنفُسِكُمْۚ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَwafīوفيوَفِىٓAnd inanfusikumأنفسكمأَنفُسِكُمْyourselves.afalāأفلاأَفَلَاThen will nottub'ṣirūnaتبصرونتُبْصِرُونَyou see?And (also) in yourselves. Can ye then not see?and also within yourselves. Do you not see?And in yourselves. Then will you not see?As also in your own selves: Will ye not then see? |
| 22 | وَفِي ٱلسَّمَآءِ رِزْقُكُمْ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَwafīوفيوَفِىAnd inl-samāiالسماءٱلسَّمَآءِthe heavenriz'qukumرزقكمرِزْقُكُمْ(is) your provisionwamāوماوَمَاand whattūʿadūnaتوعدونتُوعَدُونَyou are promised.And in the heaven is your providence and that which ye are promised;And in the heaven is your provision and all that you are promised.And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised.And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised. |
| 23 | فَوَرَبِّ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ إِنَّهُ لَحَقَّ مِّثْلَ مَآ أَنَّكُمْ تَنطِقُونَfawarabbiفوربفَوَرَبِّThen by (the) Lordl-samāiالسماءٱلسَّمَآءِ(of) the heavenwal-arḍiوالأرضوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earth,innahuإنهإِنَّهُindeed, itlaḥaqqunلحقلَحَقٌّ(is) surely (the) truthmith'laمثلمِّثْلَ(just) asmāمامَآ[what]annakumأنكمأَنَّكُمْyoutanṭiqūnaتنطقونتَنطِقُونَspeak.And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth, it is the truth, even as (it is true) that ye speak.By the Lord of the heaven and earth, this [resurrection] is certainly as true as the fact that you can speak.Then by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth - just as [sure as] it is that you are speaking.Then, by the Lord of heaven and earth, this is the very Truth, as much as the fact that ye can speak intelligently to each other. |
| 24 | هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ضَيْفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ ٱلْمُكْرَمِينَhalهلهَلْHasatākaأتاكأَتَىٰكَreached youḥadīthuحديثحَدِيثُ(the) narrationḍayfiضيفضَيْفِ(of the) guestsib'rāhīmaإبراهيمإِبْرَٰهِيمَ(of) Ibrahiml-muk'ramīnaالمكرمينٱلْمُكْرَمِينَthe honored?Hath the story of Abraham's honoured guests reached thee (O Muhammad)?Has there come to you the story of Abraham’s honored guests[6]?Has there reached you the story of the honored guests of Abraham?[1539] -Has the story reached thee, of the honoured guests of Abraham? |
| 25 | إِذْ دَخَلُواْ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُواْ سَلَٰمٗاۖ قَالَ سَلَٰمَ قَوْمَ مُّنكَرُونَidhإذإِذْWhendakhalūدخلوادَخَلُواْthey enteredʿalayhiعليهعَلَيْهِupon himfaqālūفقالوافَقَالُواْand said,salāmanسلاماسَلَٰمًا"Peace."qālaقالقَالَHe said,salāmunسلامسَلَٰمٌ"Peace,qawmunقومقَوْمٌa peoplemunkarūnaمنكرونمُّنكَرُونَunknown."When they came in unto him and said: Peace! he answered, Peace! (and thought): Folk unknown (to me).When they came to him and said, “Peace.” He said, “Upon you be peace.” [saying to himself] “Unknown people!”When they entered upon him and said, "[We greet you with] peace." He answered, "[And upon you] peace; [you are] a people unknown."Behold, they entered his presence, and said: "Peace!" He said, "Peace!" (and thought, "These seem) unusual people." |
| 26 | فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ فَجَآءَ بِعِجْلٖ سَمِينٖfarāghaفراغفَرَاغَThen he wentilāإلىإِلَىٰٓtoahlihiأهلهأَهْلِهِۦhis householdfajāaفجاءفَجَآءَand camebiʿij'linبعجلبِعِجْلٍwith a calfsamīninسمينسَمِينٍfat,Then he went apart unto his housefolk so that they brought a fatted calf;Then he went quickly to his household, and came with a fat [roasted] calf,Then he went to his family and came with a fat [roasted] calf.Then he turned quickly to his household, brought out a fatted calf, |
| 27 | فَقَرَّبَهُٓ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَfaqarrabahuفقربهفَقَرَّبَهُٓAnd he placed it nearilayhimإليهمإِلَيْهِمْ[to] them,qālaقالقَالَhe said,alāألاأَلَا"Will nottakulūnaتأكلونتَأْكُلُونَyou eat?"And he set it before them, saying: Will ye not eat?and placed it before them and said, “Will you not eat?”And placed it near them; he said, "Will you not eat?"And placed it before them.. he said, "Will ye not eat?" |
| 28 | فَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةٗۖ قَالُواْ لَا تَخَفْۖ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلَٰمٍ عَلِيمٖfa-awjasaفأوجسفَأَوْجَسَThen he feltmin'humمنهممِنْهُمْfrom themkhīfatanخيفةخِيفَةًa fear.qālūقالواقَالُواْThey said,lāلالَا"(Do) nottakhafتخفتَخَفْfear,"wabasharūhuوبشروهوَبَشَّرُوهُand they gave him glad tidingsbighulāminبغلامبِغُلَٰمٍof a sonʿalīminعليمعَلِيمٍlearned.Then he conceived a fear of them. They said: Fear not! and gave him tidings of (the birth of) a wise son.He felt apprehensive about them[7]. They said, “Do not be afraid,” and gave him glad tidings of a knowledgeable son.And he felt from them apprehension.[1540] They said, "Fear not," and gave him good tidings of a learned boy.(When they did not eat), He conceived a fear of them. They said, "Fear not," and they gave him glad tidings of a son endowed with knowledge. |
| 29 | فَأَقْبَلَتِ ٱمْرَأَتُهُ فِي صَرَّةٖ فَصَكَّتْ وَجْهَهَا وَقَالَتْ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمَfa-aqbalatiفأقبلتفَأَقْبَلَتِThen came forwardim'ra-atuhuامرأتهٱمْرَأَتُهُhis wifefīفيفِىwithṣarratinصرةصَرَّةٍa loud voice,faṣakkatفصكتفَصَكَّتْand struckwajhahāوجههاوَجْهَهَاher facewaqālatوقالتوَقَالَتْand she said,ʿajūzunعجوزعَجُوزٌ"An old womanʿaqīmunعقيمعَقِيمٌbarren!"Then his wife came forward, making moan, and smote her face, and cried: A barren old woman!His wife cried out loud, and struck her face [in astonishment] and said, “[I am] a barren old woman!”And his wife approached with a cry [of alarm] and struck her face and said, "[I am] a barren old woman!"But his wife came forward (laughing) aloud: she smote her forehead and said: "A barren old woman!" |
| 30 | قَالُواْ كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِۖ إِنَّهُ هُوَ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٱلْعَلِيمُqālūقالواقَالُواْThey said,kadhālikiكذلككَذَٰلِكِ"Thusqālaقالقَالَsaidrabbukiربكرَبُّكِyour Lord.innahuإنهإِنَّهُIndeed, Hehuwaهوهُوَ[He]l-ḥakīmuالحكيمٱلْحَكِيمُ(is) the All-Wise,l-ʿalīmuالعليمٱلْعَلِيمُthe All-Knower."They said: Even so saith thy Lord. Lo! He is the Wise, the Knower.They said, “This is what your Lord said. Indeed, He is the All-Wise, the All-Knowing.”They said, "Thus has said your Lord; indeed, He is the Wise, the Knowing."They said, "Even so has thy Lord spoken: and He is full of Wisdom and Knowledge." |
| 31 | ۞ قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَqālaقالقَالَHe said,famāفمافَمَا"Then whatkhaṭbukumخطبكمخَطْبُكُمْ(is) your mission,ayyuhāأيهاأَيُّهَاO messengers?"l-mur'salūnaالمرسلونٱلْمُرْسَلُونَO messengers?"(Abraham) said: And (afterward) what is your errand, O ye sent (from Allah)?Abraham said, “Then what is your mission, O messengers?”[Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers?"(Abraham) said: "And what, O ye Messengers, is your errand (now)?" |
| 32 | قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّآ أُرْسِلْنَآ إِلَىٰ قَوْمٖ مُّجْرِمِينَqālūقالواقَالُوٓاْThey said,innāإناإِنَّآ"Indeed, weur'sil'nāأرسلناأُرْسِلْنَآ[we] have been sentilāإلىإِلَىٰtoqawminقومقَوْمٍa peoplemuj'rimīnaمجرمينمُّجْرِمِينَcriminal,They said: Lo! we are sent unto a guilty folk,They said, “We have been sent to a wicked people,They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals[1541]They said, "We have been sent to a people (deep) in sin;- |
| 33 | لِنُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةٗ مِّن طِينٖlinur'silaلنرسللِنُرْسِلَThat we may send downʿalayhimعليهمعَلَيْهِمْupon themḥijāratanحجارةحِجَارَةًstonesminمنمِّنofṭīninطينطِينٍclay,That we may send upon them stones of clay,to send down upon them stones of clay,To send down upon them stones of clay,"To bring on, on them, (a shower of) stones of clay (brimstone), |
| 34 | مُّسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَmusawwamatanمسومةمُّسَوَّمَةًMarkedʿindaعندعِندَby your Lordrabbikaربكرَبِّكَby your Lordlil'mus'rifīnaللمسرفينلِلْمُسْرِفِينَfor the transgressors."Marked by thy Lord for (the destruction of) the wanton.marked by your Lord for the transgressors.”Marked in the presence of your Lord for the transgressors.""Marked as from thy Lord for those who trespass beyond bounds." |
| 35 | فَأَخْرَجْنَا مَن كَانَ فِيهَا مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَfa-akhrajnāفأخرجنافَأَخْرَجْنَاThen We brought outmanمنمَن(those) whokānaكانكَانَwerefīhāفيهافِيهَاthereinminaمنمِنَofl-mu'minīnaالمؤمنينٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَthe believers.Then we brought forth such believers as were there.We brought out those believers who were there,So We brought out whoever was in them [i.e., the cities] of the believers.Then We evacuated those of the Believers who were there, |
| 36 | فَمَا وَجَدْنَا فِيهَا غَيْرَ بَيْتٖ مِّنَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَfamāفمافَمَاBut notwajadnāوجدناوَجَدْنَاWe foundfīhāفيهافِيهَاthereinghayraغيرغَيْرَother thanbaytinبيتبَيْتٍa houseminaمنمِّنَofl-mus'limīnaالمسلمينٱلْمُسْلِمِينَthe Muslims.But We found there but one house of those surrendered (to Allah).but We only found in it one Muslim household[8].And We found not within them other than a [single] house of Muslims.[1542]But We found not there any just (Muslim) persons except in one house: |
| 37 | وَتَرَكْنَا فِيهَآ ءَايَةٗ لِّلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَلِيمَwataraknāوتركناوَتَرَكْنَاAnd We leftfīhāفيهافِيهَآthereināyatanآيةءَايَةًa Signlilladhīnaللذينلِّلَّذِينَfor those whoyakhāfūnaيخافونيَخَافُونَfearl-ʿadhābaالعذابٱلْعَذَابَthe punishmentl-alīmaالأليمٱلْأَلِيمَthe painful.And We left behind therein a portent for those who fear a painful doom.And We left there a sign[9] for those who fear the painful punishment.And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment.And We left there a Sign for such as fear the Grievous Penalty. |
| 38 | وَفِي مُوسَىٰٓ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَٰهُ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ بِسُلْطَٰنٖ مُّبِينٖwafīوفيوَفِىAnd inmūsāموسىمُوسَىٰٓMusa,idhإذإِذْwhenarsalnāhuأرسلناهأَرْسَلْنَٰهُWe sent himilāإلىإِلَىٰtofir'ʿawnaفرعونفِرْعَوْنَFiraunbisul'ṭāninبسلطانبِسُلْطَٰنٍwith an authoritymubīninمبينمُّبِينٍclear.And in Moses (too, there is a portent) when We sent him unto Pharaoh with clear warrant,And [there is a sign in the story of] Moses when We sent him to Pharaoh with compelling proofs,And in Moses [was a sign], when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority.[1543]And in Moses (was another Sign): Behold, We sent him to Pharaoh, with authority manifest. |
| 39 | فَتَوَلَّىٰ بِرُكْنِهِۦ وَقَالَ سَٰحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونَfatawallāفتولىفَتَوَلَّىٰBut he turned awaybiruk'nihiبركنهبِرُكْنِهِۦwith his supporterswaqālaوقالوَقَالَand said,sāḥirunساحرسَٰحِرٌ"A magicianawأوأَوْormajnūnunمجنونمَجْنُونٌa madman."But he withdrew (confiding) in his might, and said: A wizard or a madman.But he and his supporters turned away, and he said about [Moses], “A magician or a madman!”But he turned away with his supporters and said, "A magician or a madman."But (Pharaoh) turned back with his Chiefs, and said, "A sorcerer, or one possessed!" |
| 40 | فَأَخَذْنَٰهُ وَجُنُودَهُ فَنَبَذْنَٰهُمْ فِي ٱلْيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيمَfa-akhadhnāhuفأخذناهفَأَخَذْنَٰهُSo We took himwajunūdahuوجنودهوَجُنُودَهُand his hostsfanabadhnāhumفنبذناهمفَنَبَذْنَٰهُمْand threw themfīفيفِىintol-yamiاليمٱلْيَمِّthe sea,wahuwaوهووَهُوَwhile hemulīmunمليممُلِيمٌ(was) blameworthy.So We seized him and his hosts and flung them in the sea, for he was reprobate.So We seized him and his soldiers and cast them into the sea while he was blameworthy[10].So We took him and his soldiers and cast them into the sea, and he was blameworthy.So We took him and his forces, and threw them into the sea; and his was the blame. |
| 41 | وَفِي عَادٍ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلرِّيحَ ٱلْعَقِيمَwafīوفيوَفِىAnd inʿādinعادعَادٍAad,idhإذإِذْwhenarsalnāأرسلناأَرْسَلْنَاWe sentʿalayhimuعليهمعَلَيْهِمُagainst theml-rīḥaالريحٱلرِّيحَthe windl-ʿaqīmaالعقيمٱلْعَقِيمَthe barren.And in (the tribe of) A'ad (there is a portent) when we sent the fatal wind against them.And [there is a sign in the story of] ‘Ād, when We sent against them the devastating barren wind[11].And in ʿAad [was a sign], when We sent against them the barren wind.[1544]And in the 'Ad (people) (was another Sign): Behold, We sent against them the devastating Wind: |
| 42 | مَا تَذَرُ مِن شَيْءٍ أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا جَعَلَتْهُ كَٱلرَّمِيمِmāمامَاNottadharuتذرتَذَرُit leftminمنمِنanyshayinشيءشَىْءٍthingatatأتتأَتَتْit cameʿalayhiعليهعَلَيْهِupon it,illāإلاإِلَّاbutjaʿalathuجعلتهجَعَلَتْهُit made itkal-ramīmiكالرميمكَٱلرَّمِيمِlike disintegrated ruins.It spared naught that it reached, but made it (all) as dust.It spared nothing it came upon except that it reduced it to ruin and decay.It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins.It left nothing whatever that it came up against, but reduced it to ruin and rottenness. |
| 43 | وَفِي ثَمُودَ إِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَمَتَّعُواْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٖwafīوفيوَفِىAnd inthamūdaثمودثَمُودَThamud,idhإذإِذْwhenqīlaقيلقِيلَwas saidlahumلهملَهُمْto them,tamattaʿūتمتعواتَمَتَّعُواْ"Enjoy (yourselves)ḥattāحتىحَتَّىٰforḥīninحينحِينٍa time."And in (the tribe of) Thamud (there is a portent) when it was told them: Take your ease awhile.And [there is a sign in the story of] Thamūd, when they were told, “Enjoy yourselves for a while[12].”And in Thamūd, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time."And in the Thamud (was another Sign): Behold, they were told, "Enjoy (your brief day) for a little while!" |
| 44 | فَعَتَوْاْ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ ٱلصَّٰعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَfaʿatawفعتوافَعَتَوْاْBut they rebelledʿanعنعَنْagainstamriأمرأَمْرِ(the) Commandrabbihimربهمرَبِّهِمْ(of) their Lord,fa-akhadhathumuفأخذتهمفَأَخَذَتْهُمُso seized theml-ṣāʿiqatuالصاعقةٱلصَّٰعِقَةُthe thunderboltwahumوهموَهُمْwhile theyyanẓurūnaينظرونيَنظُرُونَwere looking.But they rebelled against their Lord's decree, and so the thunderbolt overtook them even while they gazed;But they rebelled against the command of their Lord, so the thunderbolt seized them, while they were looking on.But they were insolent toward the command of their Lord, so the thunderbolt seized them while they were looking on.But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord: So the stunning noise (of an earthquake) seized them, even while they were looking on. |
| 45 | فَمَا ٱسْتَطَٰعُواْ مِن قِيَامٖ وَمَا كَانُواْ مُنتَصِرِينَfamāفمافَمَاThen notis'taṭāʿūاستطاعواٱسْتَطَٰعُواْthey were able tominمنمِن[of]qiyāminقيامقِيَامٍstandwamāوماوَمَاand notkānūكانواكَانُواْthey couldmuntaṣirīnaمنتصرينمُنتَصِرِينَhelp themselves.And they were unable to rise up, nor could they help themselves.They could not withstand it, nor could they ward it off.And they were unable to arise, nor could they defend themselves.Then they could not even stand (on their feet), nor could they help themselves. |
| 46 | وَقَوْمَ نُوحٖ مِّن قَبْلُۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُواْ قَوْمٗا فَٰسِقِينَwaqawmaوقوموَقَوْمَAnd (the) peoplenūḥinنوحنُوحٍ(of) Nuhminمنمِّنbefore;qabluقبلقَبْلُbefore;innahumإنهمإِنَّهُمْindeed, theykānūكانواكَانُواْwereqawmanقوماقَوْمًاa peoplefāsiqīnaفاسقينفَٰسِقِينَdefiantly disobedient.And the folk of Noah aforetime. Lo! they were licentious folk.And the people of Noah [were also destroyed] before them. They were indeed a rebellious people.And [We destroyed] the people of Noah before; indeed, they were a people defiantly disobedient.So were the People of Noah before them for they wickedly transgressed. |
| 47 | وَٱلسَّمَآءَ بَنَيْنَٰهَا بِأَيْيْدٖ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَwal-samāaوالسماءوَٱلسَّمَآءَAnd the heavenbanaynāhāبنيناهابَنَيْنَٰهَاWe constructed itbi-aydinبأيدبِأَيْيْدٍwith strength,wa-innāوإناوَإِنَّاand indeed, Welamūsiʿūnaلموسعونلَمُوسِعُونَ(are) surely (its) Expanders.We have built the heaven with might, and We it is Who make the vast extent (thereof).We built the heaven with might[13], and We are indeed expanding it.And the heaven We constructed with strength,[1545] and indeed, We are [its] expander.With power and skill did We construct the Firmament: for it is We Who create the vastness of pace. |
| 48 | وَٱلْأَرْضَ فَرَشْنَٰهَا فَنِعْمَ ٱلْمَٰهِدُونَwal-arḍaوالأرضوَٱلْأَرْضَAnd the earth,farashnāhāفرشناهافَرَشْنَٰهَاWe have spread it;faniʿ'maفنعمفَنِعْمَhow excellentl-māhidūnaالماهدونٱلْمَٰهِدُونَ(are) the Spreaders!And the earth have We laid out, how gracious is the Spreader (thereof)!And We spread out the earth. How well did We smooth it out[14]!And the earth We have spread out, and excellent is the preparer.And We have spread out the (spacious) earth: How excellently We do spread out! |
| 49 | وَمِن كُلِّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَwaminومنوَمِنAnd ofkulliكلكُلِّeveryshayinشيءشَىْءٍthingkhalaqnāخلقناخَلَقْنَاWe have createdzawjayniزوجينزَوْجَيْنِpairs,laʿallakumلعلكملَعَلَّكُمْso that you maytadhakkarūnaتذكرونتَذَكَّرُونَremember.And all things We have created by pairs, that haply ye may reflect.And We have created everything in pairs[15], so that you may take heed.And of all things We created two mates [i.e., counterparts]; perhaps you will remember.And of every thing We have created pairs: That ye may receive instruction. |
| 50 | فَفِرُّوٓاْ إِلَى ٱللَّهِۖ إِنِّي لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرَ مُّبِينَfafirrūففروافَفِرُّوٓاْSo fleeilāإلىإِلَىtol-lahiاللهٱللَّهِAllah,innīإنيإِنِّىindeed, I amlakumلكملَكُمto youmin'huمنهمِّنْهُfrom Himnadhīrunنذيرنَذِيرٌa warnermubīnunمبينمُّبِينٌclear.Therefor flee unto Allah; lo! I am a plain warner unto you from him.So flee to Allah[16]. Indeed, I am a clear warner to you from Him.So flee to Allāh.[1546] Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner.Hasten ye then (at once) to Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open! |
| 51 | وَلَا تَجْعَلُواْ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَۖ إِنِّي لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرَ مُّبِينَwalāولاوَلَاAnd (do) nottajʿalūتجعلواتَجْعَلُواْmakemaʿaمعمَعَwithl-lahiاللهٱللَّهِAllahilāhanإلهاإِلَٰهًاgodākharaآخرءَاخَرَanother.innīإنيإِنِّىIndeed, I amlakumلكملَكُمto youmin'huمنهمِّنْهُfrom Himnadhīrunنذيرنَذِيرٌa warnermubīnunمبينمُّبِينٌclear.And set not any other god along with Allah; lo! I am a plain warner unto you from Him.And do not set up another god with Allah. Indeed, I am a clear warner to you from Him.”And do not make [as equal] with Allāh another deity. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner.And make not another an object of worship with Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open! |
| 52 | كَذَٰلِكَ مَآ أَتَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا قَالُواْ سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌkadhālikaكذلككَذَٰلِكَLikewisemāمامَآnotatāأتىأَتَىcamealladhīnaالذينٱلَّذِينَ(to) thoseminمنمِنbefore themqablihimقبلهمقَبْلِهِمbefore themminمنمِّنanyrasūlinرسولرَّسُولٍMessengerillāإلاإِلَّاbutqālūقالواقَالُواْthey said,sāḥirunساحرسَاحِرٌ"A magicianawأوأَوْormajnūnunمجنونمَجْنُونٌa madman."Even so there came no messenger unto those before them but they said: A wizard or a madman!Likewise, no messenger came to those before them without being told: “A magician, or a madman!”Similarly, there came not to those before them any messenger except that they said, "A magician or a madman."Similarly, no messenger came to the Peoples before them, but they said (of him) in like manner, "A sorcerer, or one possessed"! |
| 53 | أَتَوَاصَوْاْ بِهِۦۚ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمَ طَاغُونَatawāṣawأتواصواأَتَوَاصَوْاْHave they transmitted it to them?bihiبهبِهِۦHave they transmitted it to them?balبلبَلْNay,humهمهُمْtheyqawmunقومقَوْمٌ(are) a peopleṭāghūnaطاغونطَاغُونَtransgressing.Have they handed down (the saying) as an heirloom one unto another? Nay, but they are froward folk.Did they suggest this to one another[17]? Rather they are transgressing people.Did they suggest it to them?[1547] Rather, they [themselves] are a transgressing people.Is this the legacy they have transmitted, one to another? Nay, they are themselves a people transgressing beyond bounds! |
| 54 | فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَمَآ أَنتَ بِمَلُومٖfatawallaفتولفَتَوَلَّSo turn awayʿanhumعنهمعَنْهُمْfrom them,famāفمافَمَآfor notantaأنتأَنتَyoubimalūminبملومبِمَلُومٍ(are) to be blamed.So withdraw from them (O Muhammad), for thou art in no wise blameworthy,So turn away from them [O Prophet], for you are not to blame[18].So leave them, [O Muḥammad], for you are not to be blamed.So turn away from them: not thine is the blame. |
| 55 | وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ تَنفَعُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَwadhakkirوذكروَذَكِّرْAnd remind,fa-innaفإنفَإِنَّfor indeed,l-dhik'rāالذكرىٱلذِّكْرَىٰthe remindertanfaʿuتنفعتَنفَعُbenefitsl-mu'minīnaالمؤمنينٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَthe believers.And warn, for warning profiteth believers.But keep reminding them, for reminder benefits the believers.And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers.But teach (thy Message) for teaching benefits the Believers. |
| 56 | وَمَا خَلَقْتُ ٱلْجِنَّ وَٱلْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِwamāوماوَمَاAnd notkhalaqtuخلقتخَلَقْتُI have createdl-jinaالجنٱلْجِنَّthe jinnwal-insaوالإنسوَٱلْإِنسَand the mankindillāإلاإِلَّاexceptliyaʿbudūniليعبدونلِيَعْبُدُونِthat they worship Me.I created the jinn and humankind only that they might worship Me.I have not created the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.I have only created Jinns and men, that they may serve Me. |
| 57 | مَآ أُرِيدُ مِنْهُم مِّن رِّزْقٖ وَمَآ أُرِيدُ أَن يُطْعِمُونِmāمامَآNoturīduأريدأُرِيدُI wantmin'humمنهممِنْهُمfrom themminمنمِّنanyriz'qinرزقرِّزْقٍprovisionwamāوماوَمَآand noturīduأريدأُرِيدُI wantanأنأَنthatyuṭ'ʿimūniيطعمونيُطْعِمُونِthey (should) feed Me.I seek no livelihood from them, nor do I ask that they should feed Me.I seek no provision from them, nor do I want them to feed Me.I do not want from them any provision, nor do I want them to feed Me.No Sustenance do I require of them, nor do I require that they should feed Me. |
| 58 | إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلرَّزَّاقُ ذُو ٱلْقُوَّةِ ٱلْمَتِينُinnaإنإِنَّIndeed,l-lahaاللهٱللَّهَAllah,huwaهوهُوَHel-razāquالرزاقٱلرَّزَّاقُ(is) the All-Provider,dhūذوذُوPossessorl-quwatiالقوةٱلْقُوَّةِ(of) Powerl-matīnuالمتينٱلْمَتِينُthe Strong.Lo! Allah! He it is that giveth livelihood, the Lord of unbreakable might.Indeed, it is Allah Who is the All-Provider[19], Lord of Power, the Mighty.Indeed, it is Allāh who is the [continual] Provider,[1548] the firm possessor of strength.For Allah is He Who gives (all) Sustenance,- Lord of Power,- Steadfast (for ever). |
| 59 | فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ ذَنُوبٗا مِّثْلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصْحَٰبِهِمْ فَلَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونِfa-innaفإنفَإِنَّSo indeed,lilladhīnaللذينلِلَّذِينَfor those whoẓalamūظلمواظَلَمُواْdo wrong,dhanūbanذنوباذَنُوبًا(is) a portionmith'laمثلمِّثْلَlikedhanūbiذنوبذَنُوبِ(the) portionaṣḥābihimأصحابهمأَصْحَٰبِهِمْ(of) their companions,falāفلافَلَاso let them not ask Me to hasten.yastaʿjilūniيستعجلونيَسْتَعْجِلُونِso let them not ask Me to hasten.And lo! for those who (now) do wrong there is an evil day like unto the evil day (which came for) their likes (of old); so let them not ask Me to hasten on (that day).Indeed, those who do wrong will have a share [of punishment] like that of their predecessors, so let them not ask Me to hasten it.And indeed, for those who have wronged is a portion [of punishment] like the portion of their companions [i.e., predecessors], so let them not impatiently urge Me.For the Wrong-doers, their portion is like unto the portion of their fellows (of earlier generations): then let them not ask Me to hasten (that portion)! |
| 60 | فَوَيْلَ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِن يَوْمِهِمُ ٱلَّذِي يُوعَدُونَfawaylunفويلفَوَيْلٌThen woelilladhīnaللذينلِّلَّذِينَto those whokafarūكفرواكَفَرُواْdisbelieveminمنمِنfromyawmihimuيومهميَوْمِهِمُtheir Dayalladhīالذيٱلَّذِىwhichyūʿadūnaيوعدونيُوعَدُونَthey are promised.And woe unto those who disbelieve, from (that) their day which they are promised.So woe to those who disbelieve from [the punishment of] the Day which they are promised.And woe to those who have disbelieved from their Day which they are promised.Woe, then, to the Unbelievers, on account of that Day of theirs which they have been promised! |

| ﱜ | ﱘ ﱙ ﱚ ﱛ |
| ﱢ | ﱝ ﱞ ﱟ ﱠ ﱡ |
| ﱪ | ﱣ ﱤ ﱥ ﱦ ﱧ ﱨ ﱩ |
| ﱰ | ﱫ ﱬ ﱭ ﱮ ﱯ |
| ﱻ | ﱱ ﱲ ﱳ ﱴﱵ ﱶ ﱷ ﱸ ﱹ ﱺ |
| ﲂ | ﱼ ﱽ ﱾ ﱿ ﲀ ﲁ |
| ﲆ | ﲃ ﲄ ﲅ |
| ﲌ | ﲇ ﲈ ﲉ ﲊ ﲋ |
| ﲑ | ﲍ ﲎ ﲏ ﲐ |
| ﲗ | ﲒ ﲓﲔ ﲕ ﲖ |
| ﲝ | ﲘ ﲙ ﲚ ﲛ ﲜ |
| ﲧ | ﲞ ﲟ ﲠ ﲡ ﲢ ﲣ ﲤ ﲥ ﲦ |
| ﲮ | ﲨ ﲩ ﲪ ﲫ ﲬ ﲭ |
| ﲹ | ﲯ ﲰ ﲱ ﲲ ﲳﲴ ﲵ ﲶ ﲷ ﲸ |
| ﳀ | ﲺ ﲻ ﲼ ﲽ ﲾ ﲿ |
| ﳆ | ﳁ ﳂ ﳃ ﳄ ﳅ |
| ﳒ | ﳇ ﳈ ﳉﳊ ﳋ ﳌ ﳍﳎ ﳏ ﳐ ﳑ |
| ﳜ | ﳓ ﳔ ﳕ ﳖ ﳗ ﳘ ﳙ ﳚ ﳛ |
| ﳦ | ﳝ ﳞ ﳟ ﳠﳡ ﳢ ﳣ ﳤ ﳥ |
| ﱇ | ﱁ ﱂ ﱃ ﱄ ﱅ ﱆ |
| ﱎ | ﱈ ﱉ ﱊ ﱋ ﱌ ﱍ |
| ﱔ | ﱏ ﱐ ﱑ ﱒ ﱓ |
| ﱙ | ﱕ ﱖ ﱗ ﱘ |

| ﱰ | ﱩ ﱪ ﱫ ﱬ ﱭ ﱮ ﱯ |
| ﱹ | ﱱ ﱲ ﱳ ﱴ ﱵ ﱶ ﱷ ﱸ |

| ﲈ | ﲁ ﲂ ﲃ ﲄ ﲅ ﲆ ﲇ |

| ﲴ | ﲭ ﲮ ﲯ ﲰ ﲱ ﲲ ﲳ |
| ﲾ | ﲵ ﲶ ﲷ ﲸﲹ ﲺ ﲻ ﲼ ﲽ |
| ﳄ | ﲿ ﳀ ﳁ ﳂ ﳃ |
| ﳉ | ﳅ ﳆ ﳇ ﳈ |
| ﳑ | ﳊ ﳋ ﳌ ﳍ ﳎ ﳏ ﳐ |
| ﳛ | ﳒ ﳓ ﳔﳕ ﳖ ﳗ ﳘ ﳙ ﳚ |
| ﳨ | ﳜ ﳝ ﳞ ﳟ ﳠ ﳡﳢ ﳣ ﳤ ﳥ ﳦ ﳧ |
| ﱎ | ﱁ ﱂ ﱃ ﱄ ﱅ ﱆ ﱇ ﱈ ﱉ ﱊ ﱋ ﱌ ﱍ |
| ﱖ | ﱏ ﱐﱑ ﱒ ﱓ ﱔ ﱕ |
| ﱜ | ﱗ ﱘ ﱙ ﱚ ﱛ |
| ﱢ | ﱝ ﱞ ﱟ ﱠ ﱡ |
| ﱩ | ﱣ ﱤ ﱥ ﱦ ﱧ ﱨ |
| ﱳ | ﱪ ﱫ ﱬ ﱭ ﱮ ﱯ ﱰ ﱱ ﱲ |
| ﱻ | ﱴ ﱵ ﱶ ﱷ ﱸ ﱹ ﱺ |
| ﲅ | ﱼ ﱽ ﱾ ﱿ ﲀ ﲁ ﲂ ﲃ ﲄ |
| ﲍ | ﲆ ﲇ ﲈ ﲉ ﲊ ﲋ ﲌ |
ﲳ ﲴ ﲵ ﲶ ﲷ ﲸ ﲹ ﲺ ﲻ

ﱥ ﱦ ﱧ ﱨ ﱩ ﱪ ﱫ ﱬ ﱭ ﱮ ﱯ ﱰ
ﱱ ﱲ ﱳ ﱴ ﱵ ﱶ ﱷ ﱸ ﱹ ﱺ ﱻ
ﱼ ﱽ ﱾ ﱿ ﲀ ﲁ ﲂ ﲃ ﲄ
ﲅ ﲆ ﲇ ﲈ ﲉ ﲊ ﲋ ﲌ ﲍ
وَالذَّارِيَاتِ ذَرْوًا ١ فَالْحَامِلَاتِ وِقْرًا ٢ فَالْجَارِيَاتِ يُسْرًا ٣
فَالْمُقَسِّمَاتِ أَمْرًا ٤ إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَصَادِقٌ ٥ وَإِنَّ الدِّينَ لَوَاقِعٌ ٦
وَالسَّمَاءِ ذَاتِ الْحُبُكِ ٧ إِنَّكُمْ لَفِي قَوْلٍ مُّخْتَلِفٍ ٨ يُؤْفَكُ عَنْهُ مَنْ
أُفِكَ ٩ قُتِلَ الْخَرَّاصُونَ ١٠ الَّذِينَ هُمْ فِي غَمْرَةٍ سَاهُونَ ١١ يَسْأَلُونَ
أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ الدِّينِ ١٢ يَوْمَ هُمْ عَلَى النَّارِ يُفْتَنُونَ ١٣ ذُوقُوا فِتْنَتَكُمْ
هَٰذَا الَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ ١٤ إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
١٥ آخِذِينَ مَا آتَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَبْلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُحْسِنِينَ ١٦
كَانُوا قَلِيلًا مِّنَ اللَّيْلِ مَا يَهْجَعُونَ ١٧ وَبِالْأَسْحَارِ هُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ ١٨
وَفِي أَمْوَالِهِمْ حَقٌّ لِّلسَّائِلِ وَالْمَحْرُومِ ١٩ وَفِي الْأَرْضِ آيَاتٌ
لِّلْمُوقِنِينَ ٢٠ وَفِي أَنفُسِكُمْ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ ٢١ وَفِي السَّمَاءِ رِزْقُكُمْ
وَمَا تُوعَدُونَ ٢٢ فَوَرَبِّ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ إِنَّهُ لَحَقٌّ مِّثْلَ مَا أَنَّكُمْ
تَنطِقُونَ ٢٣ هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ ضَيْفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْمُكْرَمِينَ ٢٤ إِذْ
دَخَلُوا عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا سَلَامًا قَالَ سَلَامٌ قَوْمٌ مُّنكَرُونَ ٢٥ فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰ
أَهْلِهِ فَجَاءَ بِعِجْلٍ سَمِينٍ ٢٦ فَقَرَّبَهُ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ
٢٧ فَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةً قَالُوا لَا تَخَفْ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلَامٍ عَلِيمٍ ٢٨
فَأَقْبَلَتِ امْرَأَتُهُ فِي صَرَّةٍ فَصَكَّتْ وَجْهَهَا وَقَالَتْ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمٌ
٢٩ قَالُوا كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْحَكِيمُ الْعَلِيمُ ٣٠
۞ قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا الْمُرْسَلُونَ ٣١ قَالُوا إِنَّا أُرْسِلْنَا إِلَىٰ قَوْمٍ
مُّجْرِمِينَ ٣٢ لِنُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِّن طِينٍ ٣٣ مُّسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَ
لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ ٣٤ فَأَخْرَجْنَا مَن كَانَ فِيهَا مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ٣٥ فَمَا وَجَدْنَا
فِيهَا غَيْرَ بَيْتٍ مِّنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ ٣٦ وَتَرَكْنَا فِيهَا آيَةً لِّلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ
الْعَذَابَ الْأَلِيمَ ٣٧ وَفِي مُوسَىٰ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَاهُ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ بِسُلْطَانٍ
مُّبِينٍ ٣٨ فَتَوَلَّىٰ بِرُكْنِهِ وَقَالَ سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ ٣٩ فَأَخَذْنَاهُ وَجُنُودَهُ
فَنَبَذْنَاهُمْ فِي الْيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ ٤٠ وَفِي عَادٍ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ الرِّيحَ
الْعَقِيمَ ٤١ مَا تَذَرُ مِن شَيْءٍ أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا جَعَلَتْهُ كَالرَّمِيمِ ٤٢
وَفِي ثَمُودَ إِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَمَتَّعُوا حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ ٤٣ فَعَتَوْا عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ
فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّاعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ ٤٤ فَمَا اسْتَطَاعُوا مِن قِيَامٍ
وَمَا كَانُوا مُنتَصِرِينَ ٤٥ وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِّن قَبْلُ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمًا
فَاسِقِينَ ٤٦ وَالسَّمَاءَ بَنَيْنَاهَا بِأَيْدٍ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ ٤٧ وَالْأَرْضَ
فَرَشْنَاهَا فَنِعْمَ الْمَاهِدُونَ ٤٨ وَمِن كُلِّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ
لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ ٤٩ فَفِرُّوا إِلَى اللَّهِ إِنِّي لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ ٥٠
وَلَا تَجْعَلُوا مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ إِنِّي لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ ٥١
كَذَٰلِكَ مَا أَتَى الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا قَالُوا سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ
٥٢ أَتَوَاصَوْا بِهِ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ ٥٣ فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَمَا أَنتَ
بِمَلُومٍ ٥٤ وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ الذِّكْرَىٰ تَنفَعُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ٥٥ وَمَا خَلَقْتُ
الْجِنَّ وَالْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ ٥٦ مَا أُرِيدُ مِنْهُم مِّن رِّزْقٍ وَمَا أُرِيدُ
أَن يُطْعِمُونِ ٥٧ إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الرَّزَّاقُ ذُو الْقُوَّةِ الْمَتِينُ ٥٨
فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا ذَنُوبًا مِّثْلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصْحَابِهِمْ فَلَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونِ
٥٩ فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِن يَوْمِهِمُ الَّذِي يُوعَدُونَ ٦٠
وَٱلذَّٰرِيَٰتِ ذَرْوٗا ١ فَٱلْحَٰمِلَٰتِ وِقْرٗا ٢ فَٱلْجَٰرِيَٰتِ يُسْرٗا ٣
فَٱلْمُقَسِّمَٰتِ أَمْرًا ٤ إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَصَادِقَ ٥ وَإِنَّ ٱلدِّينَ لَوَٰقِعَ ٦
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلْحُبُكِ ٧ إِنَّكُمْ لَفِي قَوْلٖ مُّخْتَلِفٖ ٨ يُؤْفَكُ عَنْهُ مَنْ
أُفِكَ ٩ قُتِلَ ٱلْخَرَّٰصُونَ ١٠ ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ فِي غَمْرَةٖ سَاهُونَ ١١ يَسْـَٔلُونَ
أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ ١٢ يَوْمَ هُمْ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ يُفْتَنُونَ ١٣ ذُوقُواْ فِتْنَتَكُمْ
هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ ١٤ إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّٰتٖ وَعُيُونٍ
١٥ ءَاخِذِينَ مَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُواْ قَبْلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُحْسِنِينَ ١٦
كَانُواْ قَلِيلٗا مِّنَ ٱلَّيْلِ مَا يَهْجَعُونَ ١٧ وَبِٱلْأَسْحَارِ هُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ ١٨
وَفِيٓ أَمْوَٰلِهِمْ حَقَّ لِّلسَّآئِلِ وَٱلْمَحْرُومِ ١٩ وَفِي ٱلْأَرْضِ ءَايَٰتَ

تَنطِقُونَ ٢٣ هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ضَيْفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ ٱلْمُكْرَمِينَ ٢٤ إِذْ
دَخَلُواْ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُواْ سَلَٰمٗاۖ قَالَ سَلَٰمَ قَوْمَ مُّنكَرُونَ ٢٥ فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰٓ
أَهْلِهِۦ فَجَآءَ بِعِجْلٖ سَمِينٖ ٢٦ فَقَرَّبَهُٓ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ
٢٧ فَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةٗۖ قَالُواْ لَا تَخَفْۖ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلَٰمٍ عَلِيمٖ ٢٨
فَأَقْبَلَتِ ٱمْرَأَتُهُ فِي صَرَّةٖ فَصَكَّتْ وَجْهَهَا وَقَالَتْ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمَ
٢٩ قَالُواْ كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِۖ إِنَّهُ هُوَ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ ٣٠
قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ ٣١ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّآ أُرْسِلْنَآ إِلَىٰ قَوْمٖ
مُّجْرِمِينَ ٣٢ لِنُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةٗ مِّن طِينٖ ٣٣ مُّسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَ
لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ ٣٤ فَأَخْرَجْنَا مَن كَانَ فِيهَا مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ٣٥ فَمَا وَجَدْنَا

مُّبِينٖ ٣٨ فَتَوَلَّىٰ بِرُكْنِهِۦ وَقَالَ سَٰحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونَ ٣٩ فَأَخَذْنَٰهُ وَجُنُودَهُ
فَنَبَذْنَٰهُمْ فِي ٱلْيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيمَ ٤٠ وَفِي عَادٍ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلرِّيحَ
ٱلْعَقِيمَ ٤١ مَا تَذَرُ مِن شَيْءٍ أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا جَعَلَتْهُ كَٱلرَّمِيمِ ٤٢

فَٰسِقِينَ ٤٦ وَٱلسَّمَآءَ بَنَيْنَٰهَا بِأَيْيْدٖ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ ٤٧ وَٱلْأَرْضَ
فَرَشْنَٰهَا فَنِعْمَ ٱلْمَٰهِدُونَ ٤٨ وَمِن كُلِّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ
لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ ٤٩ فَفِرُّوٓاْ إِلَى ٱللَّهِۖ إِنِّي لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرَ مُّبِينَ ٥٠
وَلَا تَجْعَلُواْ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَۖ إِنِّي لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرَ مُّبِينَ ٥١

ٱلْجِنَّ وَٱلْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ ٥٦ مَآ أُرِيدُ مِنْهُم مِّن رِّزْقٖ وَمَآ أُرِيدُ
أَن يُطْعِمُونِ ٥٧ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلرَّزَّاقُ ذُو ٱلْقُوَّةِ ٱلْمَتِينُ ٥٨
