The Morning Brightness
| 1 | وَٱلضُّحَىٰwal-ḍuḥāوالضحىوَٱلضُّحَىٰBy the morning brightness,By the morning hoursBy the morning sunlight,By the morning brightnessBy the Glorious Morning Light, |
| 2 | وَٱلَّيۡلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰwa-al-layliوالليلوَٱلَّيْلِAnd the nightidhāإذاإِذَاwhensajāسجىسَجَىٰit covers with darkness,And by the night when it is stillest,and by the night when it covers with darkness[1],And [by] the night when it covers with darkness,[1941]And by the Night when it is still,- |
| 3 | مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰmāمامَاNotwaddaʿakaودعكوَدَّعَكَhas forsaken yourabbukaربكرَبُّكَyour Lordwamāوماوَمَاand notqalāقلىقَلَىٰHe is displeased,Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee,your Lord has neither forsaken you [O Prophet] nor hated you;Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muḥammad], nor has He detested [you].Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. |
| 4 | وَلَلۡأٓخِرَةُ خَيۡرٞ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡأُولَىٰwalalākhiratuوللآخرةوَلَلْءَاخِرَةُAnd surely the Hereafterkhayrunخيرخَيْرٌ(is) betterlakaلكلَّكَfor youminaمنمِنَthanl-ūlāالأولىٱلْأُولَىٰthe first.And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former,the Hereafter is better for you than the present life;And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life].And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. |
| 5 | وَلَسَوۡفَ يُعۡطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرۡضَىٰٓwalasawfaولسوفوَلَسَوْفَAnd soonyuʿ'ṭīkaيعطيكيُعْطِيكَwill give yourabbukaربكرَبُّكَyour Lordfatarḍāفترضىفَتَرْضَىٰٓthen you will be satisfied.And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content.and your Lord will certainly give you so much that you will be well pleased.And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied.And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased. |
| 6 | أَلَمۡ يَجِدۡكَ يَتِيمٗا فَـَٔاوَىٰalamألمأَلَمْDid notyajid'kaيجدكيَجِدْكَHe find youyatīmanيتيمايَتِيمًاan orphanfaāwāفآوىفَـَٔاوَىٰand give shelter?Did He not find you an orphan then take good care of you?Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)?Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge?Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? |
| 7 | وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلّٗا فَهَدَىٰwawajadakaووجدكوَوَجَدَكَAnd He found youḍāllanضالاضَآلًّاlost,fahadāفهدىفَهَدَىٰso He guided,Did He not find you unguided then guide you?Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)?And He found you lost and guided [you],And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. |
| 8 | وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلٗا فَأَغۡنَىٰwawajadakaووجدكوَوَجَدَكَAnd He found youʿāilanعائلاعَآئِلًاin need,fa-aghnāفأغنىفَأَغْنَىٰso He made self-sufficient.Did He not find you in need then enrich you?Did He not find thee destitute and enrich (thee)?And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient.And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. |
| 9 | فَأَمَّا ٱلۡيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقۡهَرۡfa-ammāفأمافَأَمَّاSo as forl-yatīmaاليتيمٱلْيَتِيمَthe orphan,falāفلافَلَاthen (do) nottaqharتقهرتَقْهَرْoppress,So do not mistreat the orphan,Therefor the orphan oppress not,So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him].Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, |
| 10 | وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنۡهَرۡwa-ammāوأماوَأَمَّاAnd as forl-sāilaالسائلٱلسَّآئِلَone who asks,falāفلافَلَاthen (do) nottanharتنهرتَنْهَرْrepel,Therefor the beggar drive not away,nor repulse the beggar[2];And as for the petitioner,[1942] do not repel [him].Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard); |
| 11 | وَأَمَّا بِنِعۡمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثۡwa-ammāوأماوَأَمَّاBut as forbiniʿ'matiبنعمةبِنِعْمَةِ(the) Favorrabbikaربكرَبِّكَ(of) your Lordfaḥaddithفحدثفَحَدِّثْnarrate.Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy discourse.and proclaim the favors of your Lord[3].But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it].But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! |
| 1 | وَالضُّحَىٰ |
| 2 | وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ |
| 3 | مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ |
| 4 | وَلَلْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَّكَ مِنَ الْأُولَىٰ |
| 5 | وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰ |
| 6 | أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًا فَآوَىٰ |
| 7 | وَوَجَدَكَ ضَالًّا فَهَدَىٰ |
| 8 | وَوَجَدَكَ عَائِلًا فَأَغْنَىٰ |
| 9 | فَأَمَّا الْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ |
| 10 | وَأَمَّا السَّائِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ |
| 11 | وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ |

ﲘ ﲙ ﲚ ﲛ ﲜ ﲝ ﲞ ﲟ ﲠ ﲡ
ﲢ ﲣ ﲤ ﲥ ﲦ ﲧ ﲨ ﲩ ﲪ ﲫ
وَالضُّحَىٰ ١ وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ ٢ مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ ٣
وَلَلْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَّكَ مِنَ الْأُولَىٰ ٤ وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ
فَتَرْضَىٰ ٥ أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًا فَآوَىٰ ٦ وَوَجَدَكَ ضَالًّا فَهَدَىٰ
٧ وَوَجَدَكَ عَائِلًا فَأَغْنَىٰ ٨ فَأَمَّا الْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ ٩
وَأَمَّا السَّائِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ ١٠ وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ ١١
وَٱلضُّحَىٰ ١ وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ ٢ مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ ٣
وَلَلْأٓخِرَةُ خَيْرَ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ ٤ وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ
فَتَرْضَىٰٓ ٥ أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمٗا فَـَٔاوَىٰ ٦ وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلّٗا فَهَدَىٰ
٧ وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلٗا فَأَغْنَىٰ ٨ فَأَمَّا ٱلْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ ٩
وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ ١٠ وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ ١١
ﱹ ﱺ ﱻ ﱼ ﱽ ﱾ ﱿ ﲀ ﲁ ﲂ ﲃ ﲄ
ﲅ ﲆ ﲇ ﲈ ﲉ ﲊ ﲋ ﲌ ﲍ
