﮺
The Night
| 1 | وَٱلَّيۡلِ إِذَا يَغۡشَىٰwa-al-layliوالليلوَٱلَّيْلِBy the nightidhāإذاإِذَاwhenyaghshāيغشىيَغْشَىٰit covers,By the night enshroudingBy the night when it covers[1],By the night when it covers[1937]By the Night as it conceals (the light); |
| 2 | وَٱلنَّهَارِ إِذَا تَجَلَّىٰwal-nahāriوالنهاروَٱلنَّهَارِAnd the dayidhāإذاإِذَاwhentajallāتجلىتَجَلَّىٰit shines in brightness,And the day resplendentand by the day when it appears,And [by] the day when it appearsBy the Day as it appears in glory; |
| 3 | وَمَا خَلَقَ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلۡأُنثَىٰٓwamāوماوَمَاAnd He Whokhalaqaخلقخَلَقَcreatedl-dhakaraالذكرٱلذَّكَرَthe malewal-unthāوالأنثىوَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓand the female,And Him Who hath created male and female,and by His creation of male and female,And [by] He who created the male and female,By (the mystery of) the creation of male and female;- |
| 4 | إِنَّ سَعۡيَكُمۡ لَشَتَّىٰinnaإنإِنَّIndeed,saʿyakumسعيكمسَعْيَكُمْyour effortslashattāلشتىلَشَتَّىٰ(are) surely diverse.Lo! your effort is dispersed (toward divers ends).surely your efforts are divergent.Indeed, your efforts are diverse.Verily, (the ends) ye strive for are diverse. |
| 5 | فَأَمَّا مَنۡ أَعۡطَىٰ وَٱتَّقَىٰfa-ammāفأمافَأَمَّاThen as formanمنمَنْ(him) whoaʿṭāأعطىأَعْطَىٰgiveswa-ittaqāواتقىوَٱتَّقَىٰand fears,As for him who giveth and is dutiful (toward Allah)As for the one who gives in charity and fears Allah,As for he who gives and fears AllāhSo he who gives (in charity) and fears (Allah), |
| 6 | وَصَدَّقَ بِٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰwaṣaddaqaوصدقوَصَدَّقَAnd believesbil-ḥus'nāبالحسنىبِٱلْحُسْنَىٰin the best,And believeth in goodness;and truly believes in the best reward,And believes in the best [reward].And (in all sincerity) testifies to the best,- |
| 7 | فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلۡيُسۡرَىٰfasanuyassiruhuفسنيسرهفَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥThen We will ease himlil'yus'rāلليسرىلِلْيُسْرَىٰtowards [the] ease.Surely We will ease his way unto the state of ease.We will make easy for him the way of salvation.We will ease him toward ease.We will indeed make smooth for him the path to Bliss. |
| 8 | وَأَمَّا مَنۢ بَخِلَ وَٱسۡتَغۡنَىٰwa-ammāوأماوَأَمَّاBut as formanمنمَنۢ(him) whobakhilaبخلبَخِلَwithholdswa-is'taghnāواستغنىوَٱسْتَغْنَىٰand considers himself free from need,But as for him who hoardeth and deemeth himself independent,But as for the one who is miserly and deems himself self-sufficient,But as for he who withholds and considers himself free of needBut he who is a greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient, |
| 9 | وَكَذَّبَ بِٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰwakadhabaوكذبوَكَذَّبَAnd deniesbil-ḥus'nāبالحسنىبِٱلْحُسْنَىٰthe best,And disbelieveth in goodness;and denies the best reward,And denies the best [reward],And gives the lie to the best,- |
| 10 | فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلۡعُسۡرَىٰfasanuyassiruhuفسنيسرهفَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥThen We will ease himlil'ʿus'rāللعسرىلِلْعُسْرَىٰtowards [the] difficulty.Surely We will ease his way unto adversity.We will make easy for him the way of perdition.We will ease him toward difficulty.We will indeed make smooth for him the path to Misery; |
| 11 | وَمَا يُغۡنِي عَنۡهُ مَالُهُۥٓ إِذَا تَرَدَّىٰٓwamāوماوَمَاAnd notyugh'nīيغنييُغْنِىwill availʿanhuعنهعَنْهُhimmāluhuمالهمَالُهُۥٓhis wealthidhāإذاإِذَاwhentaraddāتردىتَرَدَّىٰٓhe falls.His riches will not save him when he perisheth.His wealth will be of no avail to him when he tumbles [into Hell].And what will his wealth avail him when he falls?[1938]Nor will his wealth profit him when he falls headlong (into the Pit). |
| 12 | إِنَّ عَلَيۡنَا لَلۡهُدَىٰinnaإنإِنَّIndeed,ʿalaynāعليناعَلَيْنَاupon Uslalhudāللهدىلَلْهُدَىٰ(is) the guidance.Lo! Ours it is (to give) the guidanceIndeed, it is upon Us to show the right way,Indeed, [incumbent] upon Us is guidance.Verily We take upon Ourselves to guide, |
| 13 | وَإِنَّ لَنَا لَلۡأٓخِرَةَ وَٱلۡأُولَىٰwa-innaوإنوَإِنَّAnd indeed,lanāلنالَنَاfor Uslalākhirataللآخرةلَلْءَاخِرَةَ(is) the Hereafterwal-ūlāوالأولىوَٱلْأُولَىٰand the first (life).And lo! unto Us belong the latter portion and the former.and surely to Us belong the Hereafter and the present life.And indeed, to us belongs the Hereafter and the first [life].And verily unto Us (belong) the End and the Beginning. |
| 14 | فَأَنذَرۡتُكُمۡ نَارٗا تَلَظَّىٰfa-andhartukumفأنذرتكمفَأَنذَرْتُكُمْSo I warn younāranنارانَارًا(of) a Firetalaẓẓāتلظىتَلَظَّىٰblazing,Therefor have I warned you of the flaming FireSo I warn you of a raging Fire,So I have warned you of a Fire which is blazing.Therefore do I warn you of a Fire blazing fiercely; |
| 15 | لَا يَصۡلَىٰهَآ إِلَّا ٱلۡأَشۡقَىlāلالَاNotyaṣlāhāيصلاهايَصْلَىٰهَآwill burn (in) itillāإلاإِلَّاexceptl-ashqāالأشقىٱلْأَشْقَىthe most wretched,Which only the most wretched must endure,none will enter it except the most wretched,None will [enter to] burn therein except the most wretched oneNone shall reach it but those most unfortunate ones |
| 16 | ٱلَّذِي كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰalladhīالذيٱلَّذِىThe one whokadhabaكذبكَذَّبَdeniedwatawallāوتولىوَتَوَلَّىٰand turned away.He who denieth and turneth away.who denied and turned away.Who had denied and turned away.Who give the lie to Truth and turn their backs. |
| 17 | وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا ٱلۡأَتۡقَىwasayujannabuhāوسيجنبهاوَسَيُجَنَّبُهَاBut will be removed from itl-atqāالأتقىٱلْأَتْقَىthe righteous,Far removed from it will be the righteousBut the most righteous will be saved from it,But the righteous one will avoid it –But those most devoted to Allah shall be removed far from it,- |
| 18 | ٱلَّذِي يُؤۡتِي مَالَهُۥ يَتَزَكَّىٰalladhīالذيٱلَّذِىThe one whoyu'tīيؤتييُؤْتِىgivesmālahuمالهمَالَهُۥhis wealthyatazakkāيتزكىيَتَزَكَّىٰ(to) purify himself,Who giveth his wealth that he may grow (in goodness).who spends his wealth to purify himself,[He] who gives [from] his wealth to purify himselfThose who spend their wealth for increase in self-purification, |
| 19 | وَمَا لِأَحَدٍ عِندَهُۥ مِن نِّعۡمَةٖ تُجۡزَىٰٓwamāوماوَمَاAnd notli-aḥadinلأحدلِأَحَدٍfor anyoneʿindahuعندهعِندَهُۥwith himminمنمِنanyniʿ'matinنعمةنِّعْمَةٍfavortuj'zāتجزىتُجْزَىٰٓto be recompensedAnd none hath with him any favour for reward,not in return for someone’s favors[2],And not [giving] for anyone who has [done him] a favor to be rewarded[1939] –And have in their minds no favour from anyone for which a reward is expected in return, |
| 20 | إِلَّا ٱبۡتِغَآءَ وَجۡهِ رَبِّهِ ٱلۡأَعۡلَىٰillāإلاإِلَّاExceptib'tighāaابتغاءٱبْتِغَآءَseekingwajhiوجهوَجْهِ(the) Countenancerabbihiربهرَبِّهِ(of) his Lord,l-aʿlāالأعلىٱلْأَعْلَىٰthe Most High.Except as seeking (to fulfil) the purpose of his Lord Most High.but to seek the pleasure of his Lord, the Most High.But only seeking the face [i.e., acceptance] of his Lord, Most High.But only the desire to seek for the Countenance of their Lord Most High; |
| 21 | وَلَسَوۡفَ يَرۡضَىٰwalasawfaولسوفوَلَسَوْفَAnd soon, surelyyarḍāيرضىيَرْضَىٰhe will be pleased.He verily will be content.He will surely be well pleased.And he is going to be satisfied.And soon will they attain (complete) satisfaction. |
| 1 | وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰ |
| 2 | وَالنَّهَارِ إِذَا تَجَلَّىٰ |
| 3 | وَمَا خَلَقَ الذَّكَرَ وَالْأُنثَىٰ |
| 4 | إِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتَّىٰ |
| 5 | فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَىٰ وَاتَّقَىٰ |
| 6 | وَصَدَّقَ بِالْحُسْنَىٰ |
| 7 | فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ |
| 8 | وَأَمَّا مَن بَخِلَ وَاسْتَغْنَىٰ |
| 9 | وَكَذَّبَ بِالْحُسْنَىٰ |
| 10 | فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْعُسْرَىٰ |
| 11 | وَمَا يُغْنِي عَنْهُ مَالُهُ إِذَا تَرَدَّىٰ |
| 12 | إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا لَلْهُدَىٰ |
| 13 | وَإِنَّ لَنَا لَلْآخِرَةَ وَالْأُولَىٰ |
| 14 | فَأَنذَرْتُكُمْ نَارًا تَلَظَّىٰ |
| 15 | لَا يَصْلَاهَا إِلَّا الْأَشْقَى |
| 16 | الَّذِي كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ |
| 17 | وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا الْأَتْقَى |
| 18 | الَّذِي يُؤْتِي مَالَهُ يَتَزَكَّىٰ |
| 19 | وَمَا لِأَحَدٍ عِندَهُ مِن نِّعْمَةٍ تُجْزَىٰ |
| 20 | إِلَّا ابْتِغَاءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِ الْأَعْلَىٰ |
| 21 | وَلَسَوْفَ يَرْضَىٰ |
| 1 | وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰwa-al-layliوالليلوَٱلَّيْلِBy the nightidhāإذاإِذَاwhenyaghshāيغشىيَغْشَىٰit covers,By the night enshroudingBy the night when it covers[1],By the night when it covers[1937]By the Night as it conceals (the light); |

| ﲩ | ﲧ ﲨ |
| ﲬ | ﲪ ﲫ |
| ﲱ | ﲭ ﲮ ﲯ ﲰ |
| ﲴ | ﲲ ﲳ |
| ﱃ | ﱁ ﱂ |
| ﱊ | ﱄ ﱅ ﱆ ﱇ ﱈ ﱉ |
| ﱎ | ﱋ ﱌ ﱍ |
| ﱓ | ﱏ ﱐ ﱑ ﱒ |
| ﱗ | ﱔ ﱕ ﱖ |
| ﱜ | ﱘ ﱙ ﱚ ﱛ |
| ﱠ | ﱝ ﱞ ﱟ |
| ﱣ | ﱡ ﱢ |
| ﱨ | ﱤ ﱥ ﱦ ﱧ |
| ﱯ | ﱩ ﱪ ﱫ ﱬ ﱭ ﱮ |
| ﱵ | ﱰ ﱱ ﱲ ﱳ ﱴ |
| ﱸ | ﱶ ﱷ |
ﲑ ﲒ ﲓ ﲔ ﲕ ﲖ ﲗ ﲘ ﲙ ﲚ ﲛ ﲜ ﲝ
ﲞ ﲟ ﲠ ﲡ ﲢ ﲣ ﲤ ﲥ ﲦ ﲧ ﲨ ﲩ
ﲪ ﲫ ﲬ ﲭ ﲮ ﲯ ﲰ ﲱ ﲲ ﲳ ﲴ
ﱁ ﱂ ﱃ ﱄ ﱅ ﱆ ﱇ ﱈ ﱉ ﱊ ﱋ ﱌ
ﱍ ﱎ ﱏ ﱐ ﱑ ﱒ ﱓ ﱔ ﱕ ﱖ ﱗ
ﱘ ﱙ ﱚ ﱛ ﱜ ﱝ ﱞ ﱟ ﱠ ﱡ
ﱢ ﱣ ﱤ ﱥ ﱦ ﱧ ﱨ ﱩ ﱪ ﱫ ﱬ ﱭ
ﱮ ﱯ ﱰ ﱱ ﱲ ﱳ ﱴ ﱵ ﱶ ﱷ ﱸ
وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰ ١ وَالنَّهَارِ إِذَا تَجَلَّىٰ ٢ وَمَا خَلَقَ الذَّكَرَ وَالْأُنثَىٰ ٣
إِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتَّىٰ ٤ فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَىٰ وَاتَّقَىٰ ٥ وَصَدَّقَ بِالْحُسْنَىٰ ٦
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ ٧ وَأَمَّا مَن بَخِلَ وَاسْتَغْنَىٰ ٨ وَكَذَّبَ بِالْحُسْنَىٰ ٩
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْعُسْرَىٰ ١٠ وَمَا يُغْنِي عَنْهُ مَالُهُ إِذَا تَرَدَّىٰ ١١ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا
لَلْهُدَىٰ ١٢ وَإِنَّ لَنَا لَلْآخِرَةَ وَالْأُولَىٰ ١٣ فَأَنذَرْتُكُمْ نَارًا تَلَظَّىٰ ١٤
لَا يَصْلَاهَا إِلَّا الْأَشْقَى ١٥ الَّذِي كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ ١٦ وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا
الْأَتْقَى ١٧ الَّذِي يُؤْتِي مَالَهُ يَتَزَكَّىٰ ١٨ وَمَا لِأَحَدٍ عِندَهُ مِن نِّعْمَةٍ
تُجْزَىٰ ١٩ إِلَّا ابْتِغَاءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِ الْأَعْلَىٰ ٢٠ وَلَسَوْفَ يَرْضَىٰ ٢١
وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰ ١ وَٱلنَّهَارِ إِذَا تَجَلَّىٰ ٢ وَمَا خَلَقَ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓ ٣
إِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتَّىٰ ٤ فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَىٰ وَٱتَّقَىٰ ٥ وَصَدَّقَ بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ ٦
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ ٧ وَأَمَّا مَنۢ بَخِلَ وَٱسْتَغْنَىٰ ٨ وَكَذَّبَ بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ ٩
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْعُسْرَىٰ ١٠ وَمَا يُغْنِي عَنْهُ مَالُهُٓ إِذَا تَرَدَّىٰٓ ١١ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا
لَلْهُدَىٰ ١٢ وَإِنَّ لَنَا لَلْأٓخِرَةَ وَٱلْأُولَىٰ ١٣ فَأَنذَرْتُكُمْ نَارٗا تَلَظَّىٰ ١٤
لَا يَصْلَىٰهَآ إِلَّا ٱلْأَشْقَى ١٥ ٱلَّذِي كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ ١٦ وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا
ٱلْأَتْقَى ١٧ ٱلَّذِي يُؤْتِي مَالَهُ يَتَزَكَّىٰ ١٨ وَمَا لِأَحَدٍ عِندَهُ مِن نِّعْمَةٖ
تُجْزَىٰٓ ١٩ إِلَّا ٱبْتِغَآءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ ٢٠ وَلَسَوْفَ يَرْضَىٰ ٢١

ﲞ ﲟ ﲠ ﲡ ﲢ ﲣ ﲤ ﲥ ﲦ ﲧ ﲨ ﲩ
ﲪ ﲫ ﲬ ﲭ ﲮ ﲯ ﲰ ﲱ ﲲ ﲳ ﲴ
ﱁ ﱂ ﱃ ﱄ ﱅ ﱆ ﱇ ﱈ ﱉ ﱊ ﱋ ﱌ
