The Inevitable Reality
1 ٱلۡحَآقَّةُal-ḥāqatuالحاقةٱلْحَآقَّةُThe Inevitable Reality!The Reality!The Inevitable Hour!The Inevitable Reality -The Sure Reality!
2 مَا ٱلۡحَآقَّةُmāمامَاWhatl-ḥāqatuالحاقةٱلْحَآقَّةُ(is) the Inevitable Reality?What is the Reality?What is the Inevitable Hour?What is the Inevitable Reality?What is the Sure Reality?
3 وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلۡحَآقَّةُwamāوماوَمَآAnd whatadrākaأدراكأَدْرَىٰكَwill make you knowmāمامَاwhatl-ḥāqatuالحاقةٱلْحَآقَّةُ(is) the Inevitable Reality?Ah, what will convey unto thee what the reality is!How do you know what the Inevitable Hour is?And what can make you know what is the Inevitable Reality?And what will make thee realise what the Sure Reality is?
4 كَذَّبَتۡ ثَمُودُ وَعَادُۢ بِٱلۡقَارِعَةِkadhabatكذبتكَذَّبَتْDeniedthamūduثمودثَمُودُThamudwaʿādunوعادوَعَادٌۢand Aadbil-qāriʿatiبالقارعةبِٱلْقَارِعَةِthe Striking Calamity.(The tribes of) Thamud and A'ad disbelieved in the judgment to come.Thamūd and ‘Ād denied the Striking Calamity of the Hour[1].Thamūd and ʿAad denied the Striking Calamity [i.e., the Resurrection].The Thamud and the 'Ad People (branded) as false the Stunning Calamity!
5 فَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَأُهۡلِكُواْ بِٱلطَّاغِيَةِfa-ammāفأمافَأَمَّاSo as forthamūduثمودثَمُودُThamud,fa-uh'likūفأهلكوافَأُهْلِكُواْthey were destroyedbil-ṭāghiyatiبالطاغيةبِٱلطَّاغِيَةِby the overpowering (blast).As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the lightning.As for Thamūd, they were destroyed by a dreadful blast.So as for Thamūd, they were destroyed by the overpowering [blast].But the Thamud,- they were destroyed by a terrible Storm of thunder and lightning!
6 وَأَمَّا عَادٞ فَأُهۡلِكُواْ بِرِيحٖ صَرۡصَرٍ عَاتِيَةٖwa-ammāوأماوَأَمَّاAnd as forʿādunعادعَادٌAad,fa-uh'likūفأهلكوافَأُهْلِكُواْthey were destroyedbirīḥinبريحبِرِيحٍby a windṣarṣarinصرصرصَرْصَرٍscreamingʿātiyatinعاتيةعَاتِيَةٍviolent,And as for A'ad, they were destroyed by a fierce roaring wind,And as for ‘Ād, they were destroyed by a furious windstorm[2]And as for ʿAad, they were destroyed by a screaming,[1737] violent windAnd the 'Ad, they were destroyed by a furious Wind, exceedingly violent;
7 سَخَّرَهَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ سَبۡعَ لَيَالٖ وَثَمَٰنِيَةَ أَيَّامٍ حُسُومٗاۖ فَتَرَى ٱلۡقَوۡمَ فِيهَا صَرۡعَىٰ كَأَنَّهُمۡ أَعۡجَازُ نَخۡلٍ خَاوِيَةٖsakharahāسخرهاسَخَّرَهَاWhich He imposedʿalayhimعليهمعَلَيْهِمْupon themsabʿaسبعسَبْعَ(for) sevenlayālinلياللَيَالٍnightswathamāniyataوثمانيةوَثَمَٰنِيَةَand eightayyāminأيامأَيَّامٍdaysḥusūmanحسوماحُسُومًا(in) succession,fatarāفترىفَتَرَىso you would seel-qawmaالقومٱلْقَوْمَthe peoplefīhāفيهافِيهَاthereinṣarʿāصرعىصَرْعَىٰfallenka-annahumكأنهمكَأَنَّهُمْas if they wereaʿjāzuأعجازأَعْجَازُtrunksnakhlinنخلنَخْلٍ(of) date-palmskhāwiyatinخاويةخَاوِيَةٍhollow.Which He imposed on them for seven long nights and eight long days so that thou mightest have seen men lying overthrown, as they were hollow trunks of palm-trees.which He unleashed against them for seven successive nights and eight days, so you would see the people lying dead as if they were hollow trunks of palm trees.Which He [i.e., Allāh] imposed upon them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so you would see the people therein fallen as if they were hollow trunks of palm trees.He made it rage against them seven nights and eight days in succession: so that thou couldst see the (whole) people lying prostrate in its (path), as they had been roots of hollow palm-trees tumbled down!
8 فَهَلۡ تَرَىٰ لَهُم مِّنۢ بَاقِيَةٖfahalفهلفَهَلْThen dotarāترىتَرَىٰyou seelahumلهملَهُمof themminمنمِّنۢanybāqiyatinباقيةبَاقِيَةٍremains?Canst thou (O Muhammad) see any remnant of them?Do you see any trace of them now?Then do you see of them any remains?Then seest thou any of them left surviving?
9 وَجَآءَ فِرۡعَوۡنُ وَمَن قَبۡلَهُۥ وَٱلۡمُؤۡتَفِكَٰتُ بِٱلۡخَاطِئَةِwajāaوجاءوَجَآءَAnd camefir'ʿawnuفرعونفِرْعَوْنُFiraun,wamanومنوَمَنand (those)qablahuقبلهقَبْلَهُۥbefore him,wal-mu'tafikātuوالمؤتفكاتوَٱلْمُؤْتَفِكَٰتُand the overturned citiesbil-khāṭi-atiبالخاطئةبِٱلْخَاطِئَةِwith sin.And Pharaoh and those before him, and the communities that were destroyed, brought error,Also, Pharaoh and those who came before him, and the overturned cities [of Lot] committed the grave sin,And there came Pharaoh and those before him and the overturned cities[1738] with sin.And Pharaoh, and those before him, and the Cities Overthrown, committed habitual Sin.
10 فَعَصَوۡاْ رَسُولَ رَبِّهِمۡ فَأَخَذَهُمۡ أَخۡذَةٗ رَّابِيَةًfaʿaṣawفعصوافَعَصَوْاْAnd they disobeyedrasūlaرسولرَسُولَ(the) Messengerrabbihimربهمرَبِّهِمْ(of) their Lord,fa-akhadhahumفأخذهمفَأَخَذَهُمْso He seized themakhdhatanأخذةأَخْذَةً(with) a seizurerābiyatanرابيةرَّابِيَةًexceeding.And they disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, therefor did He grip them with a tightening grip.each disobeying the messenger of their Lord, so He seized them with a severe punishment.And they disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, so He seized them with a seizure exceeding [in severity].And disobeyed (each) the messenger of their Lord; so He punished them with an abundant Penalty.
11 إِنَّا لَمَّا طَغَا ٱلۡمَآءُ حَمَلۡنَٰكُمۡ فِي ٱلۡجَارِيَةِinnāإناإِنَّاIndeed, Welammāلمالَمَّاwhenṭaghāطغىطَغَاoverflowedl-māuالماءٱلْمَآءُthe water,ḥamalnākumحملناكمحَمَلْنَٰكُمْWe carried youfīفيفِىinl-jāriyatiالجاريةٱلْجَارِيَةِthe sailing (ship).Lo! when the waters rose, We carried you upon the shipIndeed, when the floodwater overflowed, We carried you [O humans] in the sailing Ark[3],Indeed, when the water overflowed, We carried you [i.e., your ancestors] in the sailing ship[1739]We, when the water (of Noah's Flood) overflowed beyond its limits, carried you (mankind), in the floating (Ark),
12 لِنَجۡعَلَهَا لَكُمۡ تَذۡكِرَةٗ وَتَعِيَهَآ أُذُنٞ وَٰعِيَةٞlinajʿalahāلنجعلهالِنَجْعَلَهَاThat We might make itlakumلكملَكُمْfor youtadhkiratanتذكرةتَذْكِرَةًa reminderwataʿiyahāوتعيهاوَتَعِيَهَآand would be conscious of itudhununأذنأُذُنٌan earwāʿiyatunواعيةوَٰعِيَةٌconscious.That We might make it a memorial for you, and that remembering ears (that heard the story) might remember.so that We might make it a reminder for you, and that attentive ears may take heed.That We might make it for you a reminder and [that] a conscious ear would be conscious of it.That We might make it a Message unto you, and that ears (that should hear the tale and) retain its memory should bear its (lessons) in remembrance.
13 فَإِذَا نُفِخَ فِي ٱلصُّورِ نَفۡخَةٞ وَٰحِدَةٞfa-idhāفإذافَإِذَاThen whennufikhaنفخنُفِخَis blownfīفيفِىinl-ṣūriالصورٱلصُّورِthe trumpet -nafkhatunنفخةنَفْخَةٌa blastwāḥidatunواحدةوَٰحِدَةٌsingle,And when the trumpet shall sound one blastThen when the Trumpet is blown with a single blast,Then when the Horn is blown with one blastThen, when one blast is sounded on the Trumpet,
14 وَحُمِلَتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ وَٱلۡجِبَالُ فَدُكَّتَا دَكَّةٗ وَٰحِدَةٗwaḥumilatiوحملتوَحُمِلَتِAnd are liftedl-arḍuالأرضٱلْأَرْضُthe earthwal-jibāluوالجبالوَٱلْجِبَالُand the mountainsfadukkatāفدكتافَدُكَّتَاand crusheddakkatanدكةدَكَّةً(with) a crushingwāḥidatanواحدةوَٰحِدَةًsingle.And the earth with the mountains shall be lifted up and crushed with one crash,and the earth and mountains are lifted up and crushed with a single blow,And the earth and the mountains are lifted and leveled with one blow [i.e., stroke] -And the earth is moved, and its mountains, and they are crushed to powder at one stroke,-
15 فَيَوۡمَئِذٖ وَقَعَتِ ٱلۡوَاقِعَةُfayawma-idhinفيومئذفَيَوْمَئِذٍThen (on) that Daywaqaʿatiوقعتوَقَعَتِwill occurl-wāqiʿatuالواقعةٱلْوَاقِعَةُthe Occurrence,Then, on that day will the Event befall.on that Day the Inevitable Event will occur.Then on that Day, the Occurrence [i.e., Resurrection] will occur,On that Day shall the (Great) Event come to pass.
16 وَٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَهِيَ يَوۡمَئِذٖ وَاهِيَةٞwa-inshaqqatiوانشقتوَٱنشَقَّتِAnd will splitl-samāuالسماءٱلسَّمَآءُthe heaven,fahiyaفهيفَهِىَso ityawma-idhinيومئذيَوْمَئِذٍ(is on) that Daywāhiyatunواهيةوَاهِيَةٌfrail.And the heaven will split asunder, for that day it will be frail.And the sky will split asunder and will be frail[4] on that day,And the heaven will split [open], for that Day it is infirm.[1740]And the sky will be rent asunder, for it will that Day be flimsy,
17 وَٱلۡمَلَكُ عَلَىٰٓ أَرۡجَآئِهَاۚ وَيَحۡمِلُ عَرۡشَ رَبِّكَ فَوۡقَهُمۡ يَوۡمَئِذٖ ثَمَٰنِيَةٞwal-malakuوالملكوَٱلْمَلَكُAnd the Angelsʿalāعلىعَلَىٰٓ(will be) onarjāihāأرجائهاأَرْجَآئِهَاits edges,wayaḥmiluويحملوَيَحْمِلُand will bearʿarshaعرشعَرْشَ(the) Thronerabbikaربكرَبِّكَ(of) your Lordfawqahumفوقهمفَوْقَهُمْabove them,yawma-idhinيومئذيَوْمَئِذٍthat Day,thamāniyatunثمانيةثَمَٰنِيَةٌeight.And the angels will be on the sides thereof, and eight will uphold the Throne of thy Lord that day, above them.with the angels on all its sides, and on that Day, eight [mighty angels] will bear the Throne of your Lord above them.And the angels are at its edges. And there will bear the Throne of your Lord above them, that Day, eight [of them].And the angels will be on its sides, and eight will, that Day, bear the Throne of thy Lord above them.
18 يَوۡمَئِذٖ تُعۡرَضُونَ لَا تَخۡفَىٰ مِنكُمۡ خَافِيَةٞyawma-idhinيومئذيَوْمَئِذٍThat Day,tuʿ'raḍūnaتعرضونتُعْرَضُونَyou will be exhibited,lāلالَاnottakhfāتخفىتَخْفَىٰwill be hiddenminkumمنكممِنكُمْamong youkhāfiyatunخافيةخَافِيَةٌany secret.On that day ye will be exposed; not a secret of you will be hidden.On that day, you will be brought forth [before Allah], and none of your secrets will remain hidden.That Day, you will be exhibited [for judgement]; not hidden among you is anything concealed.[1741]That Day shall ye be brought to Judgment: not an act of yours that ye hide will be hidden.
19 فَأَمَّا مَنۡ أُوتِيَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ بِيَمِينِهِۦ فَيَقُولُ هَآؤُمُ ٱقۡرَءُواْ كِتَٰبِيَهۡfa-ammāفأمافَأَمَّاThen as formanمنمَنْ(him) whoūtiyaأوتيأُوتِىَis givenkitābahuكتابهكِتَٰبَهُۥhis recordbiyamīnihiبيمينهبِيَمِينِهِۦin his right handfayaqūluفيقولفَيَقُولُwill say,hāumuهاؤمهَآؤُمُ"Here,iq'raūاقرءواٱقْرَءُواْreadkitābiyahكتابيهكِتَٰبِيَهْmy record!Then, as for him who is given his record in his right hand, he will say: Take, read my book!As for the one who is given his Record in his right hand, he will say, “Here is my Record, read it!So as for he who is given his record in his right hand, he will say, "Here, read my record!Then he that will be given his Record in his right hand will say: "Ah here! Read ye my Record!
20 إِنِّي ظَنَنتُ أَنِّي مُلَٰقٍ حِسَابِيَهۡinnīإنيإِنِّىIndeed, Iẓanantuظننتظَنَنتُwas certainannīأنيأَنِّىthat Imulāqinملاقمُلَٰقٍ(will) meetḥisābiyahحسابيهحِسَابِيَهْmy account."Surely I knew that I should have to meet my reckoning.I was sure that I would meet my reckoning.”Indeed, I was certain that I would be meeting my account.""I did really understand that my Account would (One Day) reach me!"
21 فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةٖ رَّاضِيَةٖfahuwaفهوفَهُوَSo hefīفيفِى(will be) inʿīshatinعيشةعِيشَةٍa liferāḍiyatinراضيةرَّاضِيَةٍpleasant,Then he will be in blissful stateSo he will be in a pleasant life,So he will be in a pleasant life -And he will be in a life of Bliss,
22 فِي جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٖfīفيفِىInjannatinجنةجَنَّةٍa Gardenʿāliyatinعاليةعَالِيَةٍelevated,In a high gardenin a lofty garden,In an elevated garden,In a Garden on high,
23 قُطُوفُهَا دَانِيَةٞquṭūfuhāقطوفهاقُطُوفُهَاIts clusters of fruitsdāniyatunدانيةدَانِيَةٌhanging near.Whereof the clusters are in easy reach.with clustered fruit within his reach.Its [fruit] to be picked hanging near.The Fruits whereof (will hang in bunches) low and near.
24 كُلُواْ وَٱشۡرَبُواْ هَنِيٓـَٔۢا بِمَآ أَسۡلَفۡتُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَيَّامِ ٱلۡخَالِيَةِkulūكلواكُلُواْ"Eatwa-ish'rabūواشربواوَٱشْرَبُواْand drinkhanīanهنيئاهَنِيٓـًٔۢا(in) satisfactionbimāبمابِمَآfor whataslaftumأسلفتمأَسْلَفْتُمْyou sent before youfīفيفِىinl-ayāmiالأيامٱلْأَيَّامِthe daysl-khāliyatiالخاليةٱلْخَالِيَةِpast."(And it will be said unto those therein): Eat and drink at ease for that which ye sent on before you in past days.[They will be told,] “Eat and drink joyfully for what you did[5] in the days gone by.”[They will be told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you put forth[1742] in the days past.""Eat ye and drink ye, with full satisfaction; because of the (good) that ye sent before you, in the days that are gone!"
25 وَأَمَّا مَنۡ أُوتِيَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ بِشِمَالِهِۦ فَيَقُولُ يَٰلَيۡتَنِي لَمۡ أُوتَ كِتَٰبِيَهۡwa-ammāوأماوَأَمَّاBut as formanمنمَنْ(him) whoūtiyaأوتيأُوتِىَis givenkitābahuكتابهكِتَٰبَهُۥhis recordbishimālihiبشمالهبِشِمَالِهِۦin his left handfayaqūluفيقولفَيَقُولُwill say,yālaytanīيا ليتنييَٰلَيْتَنِى"O! I wishlamلملَمْnotūtaأوتأُوتَI had been givenkitābiyahكتابيهكِتَٰبِيَهْmy recordBut as for him who is given his record in his left hand, he will say: Oh, would that I had not been given my bookAs for the one who is given his Record in his left hand, he will say, “Would that I had not been given my Record,But as for he who is given his record in his left hand, he will say, "Oh, I wish I had not been given my recordAnd he that will be given his Record in his left hand, will say: "Ah! Would that my Record had not been given to me!
26 وَلَمۡ أَدۡرِ مَا حِسَابِيَهۡwalamولموَلَمْAnd notadriأدرأَدْرِI had knownmāمامَاwhatḥisābiyahحسابيهحِسَابِيَهْ(is) my account.And knew not what my reckoning!nor had I known anything of my reckoning!And had not known what is my account."And that I had never realised how my account (stood)!
27 يَٰلَيۡتَهَا كَانَتِ ٱلۡقَاضِيَةَyālaytahāيا ليتهايَٰلَيْتَهَاO! I wish itkānatiكانتكَانَتِhad beenl-qāḍiyataالقاضيةٱلْقَاضِيَةَthe endOh, would that it had been death!Would that it [i.e., death] had been the end of me[6]!I wish it [i.e., my death] had been the decisive one.[1743]"Ah! Would that (Death) had made an end of me!
28 مَآ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنِّي مَالِيَهۡۜmāمامَآNotaghnāأغنىأَغْنَىٰhas availedʿannīعنيعَنِّىmemāliyahماليهمَالِيَهْmy wealth,My wealth hath not availed me,My wealth has been of no avail to me.My wealth has not availed me."Of no profit to me has been my wealth!
29 هَلَكَ عَنِّي سُلۡطَٰنِيَهۡhalakaهلكهَلَكَIs goneʿannīعنيعَنِّىfrom mesul'ṭāniyahسلطانيهسُلْطَٰنِيَهْmy authority."My power hath gone from me.My authority has vanished[7].”Gone from me is my authority."[1744]"My power has perished from me!"...
30 خُذُوهُ فَغُلُّوهُkhudhūhuخذوهخُذُوهُ"Seize himfaghullūhuفغلوهفَغُلُّوهُand shackle him,(It will be said): Take him and fetter him[It will be said,] “Seize him and shackle him,[Allāh will say], "Seize him and shackle him.(The stern command will say): "Seize ye him, and bind ye him,
31 ثُمَّ ٱلۡجَحِيمَ صَلُّوهُthummaثمثُمَّThenl-jaḥīmaالجحيمٱلْجَحِيمَ(into) the Hellfireṣallūhuصلوهصَلُّوهُburn him.And then expose him to hell-firethen make him burn in the Blazing Fire,Then into Hellfire drive him."And burn ye him in the Blazing Fire.
32 ثُمَّ فِي سِلۡسِلَةٖ ذَرۡعُهَا سَبۡعُونَ ذِرَاعٗا فَٱسۡلُكُوهُthummaثمثُمَّThenfīفيفِىintosil'silatinسلسلةسِلْسِلَةٍa chain,dharʿuhāذرعهاذَرْعُهَاits lengthsabʿūnaسبعونسَبْعُونَ(is) seventydhirāʿanذراعاذِرَاعًاcubits,fa-us'lukūhuفاسلكوهفَٱسْلُكُوهُinsert him."And then insert him in a chain whereof the length is seventy cubits.then tie him up with a chain of seventy cubits long.Then into a chain whose length is seventy cubits insert him.""Further, make him march in a chain, whereof the length is seventy cubits!
33 إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ لَا يُؤۡمِنُ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلۡعَظِيمِinnahuإنهإِنَّهُۥIndeed, hekānaكانكَانَwaslāلالَاnotyu'minuيؤمنيُؤْمِنُbelievingbil-lahiباللهبِٱللَّهِin Allahl-ʿaẓīmiالعظيمٱلْعَظِيمِthe Most Great,Lo! He used not to believe in Allah the Tremendous,For he did not believe in Allah, the Most Great,Indeed, he did not used to believe in Allāh, the Most Great,"This was he that would not believe in Allah Most High.
34 وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلۡمِسۡكِينِwalāولاوَلَاAnd (did) notyaḥuḍḍuيحضيَحُضُّfeel the urgeʿalāعلىعَلَىٰonṭaʿāmiطعامطَعَامِ(the) feedingl-mis'kīniالمسكينٱلْمِسْكِينِ(of) the poor.And urged not on the feeding of the wretched.nor did he encourage feeding the needy.Nor did he encourage the feeding of the poor."And would not encourage the feeding of the indigent!
35 فَلَيۡسَ لَهُ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ هَٰهُنَا حَمِيمٞfalaysaفليسفَلَيْسَSo notlahuلهلَهُfor himl-yawmaاليومٱلْيَوْمَtodayhāhunāهاهناهَٰهُنَاhereḥamīmunحميمحَمِيمٌany devoted friend,Therefor hath he no lover here this day,So Today he will have no close friend here,So there is not for him here this Day any devoted friend"So no friend hath he here this Day.
36 وَلَا طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِنۡ غِسۡلِينٖwalāولاوَلَاAnd notṭaʿāmunطعامطَعَامٌany foodillāإلاإِلَّاexceptminمنمِنْfromghis'līninغسلينغِسْلِينٍ(the) discharge of wounds,Nor any food save filthnor any food except the discharge of wounds,Nor any food except from the discharge of wounds;"Nor hath he any food except the corruption from the washing of wounds,
37 لَّا يَأۡكُلُهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱلۡخَٰطِـُٔونَlāلالَّاNotyakuluhuيأكلهيَأْكُلُهُۥٓwill eat itillāإلاإِلَّاexceptl-khāṭiūnaالخاطئونٱلْخَٰطِـُٔونَthe sinners.Which none but sinners eat.none will eat it except the sinners.”None will eat it except the sinners."Which none do eat but those in sin."
38 فَلَآ أُقۡسِمُ بِمَا تُبۡصِرُونَfalāفلافَلَآBut nay!uq'simuأقسمأُقْسِمُI swearbimāبمابِمَاby whattub'ṣirūnaتبصرونتُبْصِرُونَyou see,But nay! I swear by all that ye seeI swear by what you can see.So I swear by what you seeSo I do call to witness what ye see,
39 وَمَا لَا تُبۡصِرُونَwamāوماوَمَاAnd whatlāلالَاnottub'ṣirūnaتبصرونتُبْصِرُونَyou see,And all that ye see notand what you cannot see!And what you do not seeAnd what ye see not,
40 إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوۡلُ رَسُولٖ كَرِيمٖinnahuإنهإِنَّهُۥIndeed, it (is)laqawluلقوللَقَوْلُsurely (the) Wordrasūlinرسولرَسُولٍ(of) a Messengerkarīminكريمكَرِيمٍnoble.That it is indeed the speech of an illustrious messenger.Indeed, this is the word of a noble Messenger[8],[That] indeed, it [i.e., the Qur’ān] is the word of a noble Messenger.That this is verily the word of an honoured messenger;
41 وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوۡلِ شَاعِرٖۚ قَلِيلٗا مَّا تُؤۡمِنُونَwamāوماوَمَاAnd nothuwaهوهُوَitbiqawliبقولبِقَوْلِ(is the) wordshāʿirinشاعرشَاعِرٍ(of) a poet;qalīlanقليلاقَلِيلًاlittlemāمامَّا(is) whattu'minūnaتؤمنونتُؤْمِنُونَyou believe!It is not poet's speech - little is it that ye believe!and it is not the word of a poet; little do you believe!And it is not the word of a poet; little do you believe.It is not the word of a poet: little it is ye believe!
42 وَلَا بِقَوۡلِ كَاهِنٖۚ قَلِيلٗا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَwalāولاوَلَاAnd notbiqawliبقولبِقَوْلِ(it is the) wordkāhininكاهنكَاهِنٍ(of) a soothsayer;qalīlanقليلاقَلِيلًاlittlemāمامَّا(is) whattadhakkarūnaتذكرونتَذَكَّرُونَyou take heed.Nor diviner's speech - little is it that ye remember!Nor is it the word of a soothsayer; little do you take heed!Nor the word of a soothsayer; little do you remember.Nor is it the word of a soothsayer: little admonition it is ye receive.
43 تَنزِيلٞ مِّن رَّبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَtanzīlunتنزيلتَنزِيلٌ(It is) a revelationminمنمِّنfromrabbiربرَّبِّ(the) Lordl-ʿālamīnaالعالمينٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ(of) the worlds.It is a revelation from the Lord of the Worlds.It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds.[It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds.(This is) a Message sent down from the Lord of the Worlds.
44 وَلَوۡ تَقَوَّلَ عَلَيۡنَا بَعۡضَ ٱلۡأَقَاوِيلِwalawولووَلَوْAnd iftaqawwalaتقولتَقَوَّلَhe (had) fabricatedʿalaynāعليناعَلَيْنَاagainst Usbaʿḍaبعضبَعْضَsomel-aqāwīliالأقاويلٱلْأَقَاوِيلِsayings,And if he had invented false sayings concerning Us,If he had falsely attributed something to Us,And if he [i.e., Muḥammad] had made up about Us some [false] sayings,And if the messenger were to invent any sayings in Our name,
45 لَأَخَذۡنَا مِنۡهُ بِٱلۡيَمِينِla-akhadhnāلأخذنالَأَخَذْنَاCertainly We (would) have seizedmin'huمنهمِنْهُhimbil-yamīniباليمينبِٱلْيَمِينِby the right hand;We assuredly had taken him by the right handWe would have surely seized him by the right hand[9],We would have seized him by the right hand;[1745]We should certainly seize him by his right hand,
46 ثُمَّ لَقَطَعۡنَا مِنۡهُ ٱلۡوَتِينَthummaثمثُمَّThenlaqaṭaʿnāلقطعنالَقَطَعْنَاcertainly We (would) have cut offmin'huمنهمِنْهُfrom himl-watīnaالوتينٱلْوَتِينَthe aorta.And then severed his life-artery,then severed his aorta[10],Then We would have cut from him the aorta.[1746]And We should certainly then cut off the artery of his heart:
47 فَمَا مِنكُم مِّنۡ أَحَدٍ عَنۡهُ حَٰجِزِينَfamāفمافَمَاAnd notminkumمنكممِنكُمfrom youminمنمِّنْanyaḥadinأحدأَحَدٍoneʿanhuعنهعَنْهُ[from him]ḥājizīnaحاجزينحَٰجِزِينَ(who could) prevent (it).And not one of you could have held Us off from him.and none of you could have rescued him.And there is no one of you who could prevent [Us] from him.Nor could any of you withhold him (from Our wrath).
48 وَإِنَّهُۥ لَتَذۡكِرَةٞ لِّلۡمُتَّقِينَwa-innahuوإنهوَإِنَّهُۥAnd indeed, itlatadhkiratunلتذكرةلَتَذْكِرَةٌ(is) surely a reminderlil'muttaqīnaللمتقينلِّلْمُتَّقِينَfor the Allah-fearing.And lo! it is a warrant unto those who ward off (evil).This [Qur’an] is indeed a reminder for those who are righteous.And indeed, it [i.e., the Qur’ān] is a reminder for the righteous.But verily this is a Message for the Allah-fearing.
49 وَإِنَّا لَنَعۡلَمُ أَنَّ مِنكُم مُّكَذِّبِينَwa-innāوإناوَإِنَّاAnd indeed, Welanaʿlamuلنعلملَنَعْلَمُsurely knowannaأنأَنَّthatminkumمنكممِنكُمamong youmukadhibīnaمكذبينمُّكَذِّبِينَ(are) deniers.And lo! We know that some among you will deny (it).And We surely know that some of you will be deniers,And indeed, We know that among you are deniers.And We certainly know that there are amongst you those that reject (it).
50 وَإِنَّهُۥ لَحَسۡرَةٌ عَلَى ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَwa-innahuوإنهوَإِنَّهُۥAnd indeed, itlaḥasratunلحسرةلَحَسْرَةٌ(is) surely a regretʿalāعلىعَلَىuponl-kāfirīnaالكافرينٱلْكَٰفِرِينَthe disbelievers.And lo! it is indeed an anguish for the disbelievers.and it[11] will certainly be a source of regret for the disbelievers.And indeed, it will be [a cause of] regret upon the disbelievers.But truly (Revelation) is a cause of sorrow for the Unbelievers.
51 وَإِنَّهُۥ لَحَقُّ ٱلۡيَقِينِwa-innahuوإنهوَإِنَّهُۥAnd indeed, it (is)laḥaqquلحقلَحَقُّsurely (the) truthl-yaqīniاليقينٱلْيَقِينِ(of) certainty.And lo! it is absolute truth.And this[12] is indeed the absolute truth.And indeed, it is the truth of certainty.But verily it is Truth of assured certainty.
52 فَسَبِّحۡ بِٱسۡمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلۡعَظِيمِfasabbiḥفسبحفَسَبِّحْSo glorifybi-is'miباسمبِٱسْمِ(the) namerabbikaربكرَبِّكَ(of) your Lord,l-ʿaẓīmiالعظيمٱلْعَظِيمِthe Most Great.So glorify the name of thy Tremendous Lord.So glorify the name of your Lord, the Most Great.So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great.So glorify the name of thy Lord Most High.
1 الْحَاقَّةُ
2 مَا الْحَاقَّةُ
3 وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْحَاقَّةُ
4 كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ وَعَادٌ بِالْقَارِعَةِ
5 فَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَأُهْلِكُوا بِالطَّاغِيَةِ
6 وَأَمَّا عَادٌ فَأُهْلِكُوا بِرِيحٍ صَرْصَرٍ عَاتِيَةٍ
7 سَخَّرَهَا عَلَيْهِمْ سَبْعَ لَيَالٍ وَثَمَانِيَةَ أَيَّامٍ حُسُومًا فَتَرَى الْقَوْمَ فِيهَا صَرْعَىٰ كَأَنَّهُمْ أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍ خَاوِيَةٍ
8 فَهَلْ تَرَىٰ لَهُم مِّن بَاقِيَةٍ
9 وَجَاءَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَن قَبْلَهُ وَالْمُؤْتَفِكَاتُ بِالْخَاطِئَةِ
10 فَعَصَوْا رَسُولَ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَهُمْ أَخْذَةً رَّابِيَةً
11 إِنَّا لَمَّا طَغَى الْمَاءُ حَمَلْنَاكُمْ فِي الْجَارِيَةِ
12 لِنَجْعَلَهَا لَكُمْ تَذْكِرَةً وَتَعِيَهَا أُذُنٌ وَاعِيَةٌ
13 فَإِذَا نُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ نَفْخَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ
14 وَحُمِلَتِ الْأَرْضُ وَالْجِبَالُ فَدُكَّتَا دَكَّةً وَاحِدَةً
15 فَيَوْمَئِذٍ وَقَعَتِ الْوَاقِعَةُ
16 وَانشَقَّتِ السَّمَاءُ فَهِيَ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَاهِيَةٌ
17 وَالْمَلَكُ عَلَىٰ أَرْجَائِهَا وَيَحْمِلُ عَرْشَ رَبِّكَ فَوْقَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ ثَمَانِيَةٌ
18 يَوْمَئِذٍ تُعْرَضُونَ لَا تَخْفَىٰ مِنكُمْ خَافِيَةٌ
19 فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَابَهُ بِيَمِينِهِ فَيَقُولُ هَاؤُمُ اقْرَءُوا كِتَابِيَهْ
20 إِنِّي ظَنَنتُ أَنِّي مُلَاقٍ حِسَابِيَهْ
21 فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةٍ رَّاضِيَةٍ
22 فِي جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍ
23 قُطُوفُهَا دَانِيَةٌ
24 كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا هَنِيئًا بِمَا أَسْلَفْتُمْ فِي الْأَيَّامِ الْخَالِيَةِ
25 وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَابَهُ بِشِمَالِهِ فَيَقُولُ يَا لَيْتَنِي لَمْ أُوتَ كِتَابِيَهْ
26 وَلَمْ أَدْرِ مَا حِسَابِيَهْ
27 يَا لَيْتَهَا كَانَتِ الْقَاضِيَةَ
28 مَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنِّي مَالِيَهْ
29 هَلَكَ عَنِّي سُلْطَانِيَهْ
30 خُذُوهُ فَغُلُّوهُ
31 ثُمَّ الْجَحِيمَ صَلُّوهُ
32 ثُمَّ فِي سِلْسِلَةٍ ذَرْعُهَا سَبْعُونَ ذِرَاعًا فَاسْلُكُوهُ
33 إِنَّهُ كَانَ لَا يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ الْعَظِيمِ
34 وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِينِ
35 فَلَيْسَ لَهُ الْيَوْمَ هَاهُنَا حَمِيمٌ
36 وَلَا طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِنْ غِسْلِينٍ
37 لَّا يَأْكُلُهُ إِلَّا الْخَاطِئُونَ
38 فَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِمَا تُبْصِرُونَ
39 وَمَا لَا تُبْصِرُونَ
40 إِنَّهُ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍ كَرِيمٍ
41 وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَاعِرٍ قَلِيلًا مَّا تُؤْمِنُونَ
42 وَلَا بِقَوْلِ كَاهِنٍ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ
43 تَنزِيلٌ مِّن رَّبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
44 وَلَوْ تَقَوَّلَ عَلَيْنَا بَعْضَ الْأَقَاوِيلِ
45 لَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُ بِالْيَمِينِ
46 ثُمَّ لَقَطَعْنَا مِنْهُ الْوَتِينَ
47 فَمَا مِنكُم مِّنْ أَحَدٍ عَنْهُ حَاجِزِينَ
48 وَإِنَّهُ لَتَذْكِرَةٌ لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ
49 وَإِنَّا لَنَعْلَمُ أَنَّ مِنكُم مُّكَذِّبِينَ
50 وَإِنَّهُ لَحَسْرَةٌ عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ
51 وَإِنَّهُ لَحَقُّ الْيَقِينِ
52 فَسَبِّحْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الْعَظِيمِ
1 ٱلْحَآقَّةُal-ḥāqatuالحاقةٱلْحَآقَّةُThe Inevitable Reality!The Reality!The Inevitable Hour!The Inevitable Reality -The Sure Reality!
2 مَا ٱلْحَآقَّةُmāمامَاWhatl-ḥāqatuالحاقةٱلْحَآقَّةُ(is) the Inevitable Reality?What is the Reality?What is the Inevitable Hour?What is the Inevitable Reality?What is the Sure Reality?
3 وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْحَآقَّةُwamāوماوَمَآAnd whatadrākaأدراكأَدْرَىٰكَwill make you knowmāمامَاwhatl-ḥāqatuالحاقةٱلْحَآقَّةُ(is) the Inevitable Reality?Ah, what will convey unto thee what the reality is!How do you know what the Inevitable Hour is?And what can make you know what is the Inevitable Reality?And what will make thee realise what the Sure Reality is?
4 كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ وَعَادُۢ بِٱلْقَارِعَةِkadhabatكذبتكَذَّبَتْDeniedthamūduثمودثَمُودُThamudwaʿādunوعادوَعَادٌۢand Aadbil-qāriʿatiبالقارعةبِٱلْقَارِعَةِthe Striking Calamity.(The tribes of) Thamud and A'ad disbelieved in the judgment to come.Thamūd and ‘Ād denied the Striking Calamity of the Hour[1].Thamūd and ʿAad denied the Striking Calamity [i.e., the Resurrection].The Thamud and the 'Ad People (branded) as false the Stunning Calamity!
5 فَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَأُهْلِكُواْ بِٱلطَّاغِيَةِfa-ammāفأمافَأَمَّاSo as forthamūduثمودثَمُودُThamud,fa-uh'likūفأهلكوافَأُهْلِكُواْthey were destroyedbil-ṭāghiyatiبالطاغيةبِٱلطَّاغِيَةِby the overpowering (blast).As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the lightning.As for Thamūd, they were destroyed by a dreadful blast.So as for Thamūd, they were destroyed by the overpowering [blast].But the Thamud,- they were destroyed by a terrible Storm of thunder and lightning!
6 وَأَمَّا عَادَ فَأُهْلِكُواْ بِرِيحٖ صَرْصَرٍ عَاتِيَةٖwa-ammāوأماوَأَمَّاAnd as forʿādunعادعَادٌAad,fa-uh'likūفأهلكوافَأُهْلِكُواْthey were destroyedbirīḥinبريحبِرِيحٍby a windṣarṣarinصرصرصَرْصَرٍscreamingʿātiyatinعاتيةعَاتِيَةٍviolent,And as for A'ad, they were destroyed by a fierce roaring wind,And as for ‘Ād, they were destroyed by a furious windstorm[2]And as for ʿAad, they were destroyed by a screaming,[1737] violent windAnd the 'Ad, they were destroyed by a furious Wind, exceedingly violent;
7 سَخَّرَهَا عَلَيْهِمْ سَبْعَ لَيَالٖ وَثَمَٰنِيَةَ أَيَّامٍ حُسُومٗاۖ فَتَرَى ٱلْقَوْمَ فِيهَا صَرْعَىٰ كَأَنَّهُمْ أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍ خَاوِيَةٖsakharahāسخرهاسَخَّرَهَاWhich He imposedʿalayhimعليهمعَلَيْهِمْupon themsabʿaسبعسَبْعَ(for) sevenlayālinلياللَيَالٍnightswathamāniyataوثمانيةوَثَمَٰنِيَةَand eightayyāminأيامأَيَّامٍdaysḥusūmanحسوماحُسُومًا(in) succession,fatarāفترىفَتَرَىso you would seel-qawmaالقومٱلْقَوْمَthe peoplefīhāفيهافِيهَاthereinṣarʿāصرعىصَرْعَىٰfallenka-annahumكأنهمكَأَنَّهُمْas if they wereaʿjāzuأعجازأَعْجَازُtrunksnakhlinنخلنَخْلٍ(of) date-palmskhāwiyatinخاويةخَاوِيَةٍhollow.Which He imposed on them for seven long nights and eight long days so that thou mightest have seen men lying overthrown, as they were hollow trunks of palm-trees.which He unleashed against them for seven successive nights and eight days, so you would see the people lying dead as if they were hollow trunks of palm trees.Which He [i.e., Allāh] imposed upon them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so you would see the people therein fallen as if they were hollow trunks of palm trees.He made it rage against them seven nights and eight days in succession: so that thou couldst see the (whole) people lying prostrate in its (path), as they had been roots of hollow palm-trees tumbled down!
8 فَهَلْ تَرَىٰ لَهُم مِّنۢ بَاقِيَةٖfahalفهلفَهَلْThen dotarāترىتَرَىٰyou seelahumلهملَهُمof themminمنمِّنۢanybāqiyatinباقيةبَاقِيَةٍremains?Canst thou (O Muhammad) see any remnant of them?Do you see any trace of them now?Then do you see of them any remains?Then seest thou any of them left surviving?
9 وَجَآءَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَن قَبْلَهُ وَٱلْمُؤْتَفِكَٰتُ بِٱلْخَاطِئَةِwajāaوجاءوَجَآءَAnd camefir'ʿawnuفرعونفِرْعَوْنُFiraun,wamanومنوَمَنand (those)qablahuقبلهقَبْلَهُbefore him,wal-mu'tafikātuوالمؤتفكاتوَٱلْمُؤْتَفِكَٰتُand the overturned citiesbil-khāṭi-atiبالخاطئةبِٱلْخَاطِئَةِwith sin.And Pharaoh and those before him, and the communities that were destroyed, brought error,Also, Pharaoh and those who came before him, and the overturned cities [of Lot] committed the grave sin,And there came Pharaoh and those before him and the overturned cities[1738] with sin.And Pharaoh, and those before him, and the Cities Overthrown, committed habitual Sin.
10 فَعَصَوْاْ رَسُولَ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَهُمْ أَخْذَةٗ رَّابِيَةًfaʿaṣawفعصوافَعَصَوْاْAnd they disobeyedrasūlaرسولرَسُولَ(the) Messengerrabbihimربهمرَبِّهِمْ(of) their Lord,fa-akhadhahumفأخذهمفَأَخَذَهُمْso He seized themakhdhatanأخذةأَخْذَةً(with) a seizurerābiyatanرابيةرَّابِيَةًexceeding.And they disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, therefor did He grip them with a tightening grip.each disobeying the messenger of their Lord, so He seized them with a severe punishment.And they disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, so He seized them with a seizure exceeding [in severity].And disobeyed (each) the messenger of their Lord; so He punished them with an abundant Penalty.
11 إِنَّا لَمَّا طَغَا ٱلْمَآءُ حَمَلْنَٰكُمْ فِي ٱلْجَارِيَةِinnāإناإِنَّاIndeed, Welammāلمالَمَّاwhenṭaghāطغىطَغَاoverflowedl-māuالماءٱلْمَآءُthe water,ḥamalnākumحملناكمحَمَلْنَٰكُمْWe carried youfīفيفِىinl-jāriyatiالجاريةٱلْجَارِيَةِthe sailing (ship).Lo! when the waters rose, We carried you upon the shipIndeed, when the floodwater overflowed, We carried you [O humans] in the sailing Ark[3],Indeed, when the water overflowed, We carried you [i.e., your ancestors] in the sailing ship[1739]We, when the water (of Noah's Flood) overflowed beyond its limits, carried you (mankind), in the floating (Ark),
12 لِنَجْعَلَهَا لَكُمْ تَذْكِرَةٗ وَتَعِيَهَآ أُذُنَ وَٰعِيَةَlinajʿalahāلنجعلهالِنَجْعَلَهَاThat We might make itlakumلكملَكُمْfor youtadhkiratanتذكرةتَذْكِرَةًa reminderwataʿiyahāوتعيهاوَتَعِيَهَآand would be conscious of itudhununأذنأُذُنٌan earwāʿiyatunواعيةوَٰعِيَةٌconscious.That We might make it a memorial for you, and that remembering ears (that heard the story) might remember.so that We might make it a reminder for you, and that attentive ears may take heed.That We might make it for you a reminder and [that] a conscious ear would be conscious of it.That We might make it a Message unto you, and that ears (that should hear the tale and) retain its memory should bear its (lessons) in remembrance.
13 فَإِذَا نُفِخَ فِي ٱلصُّورِ نَفْخَةَ وَٰحِدَةَfa-idhāفإذافَإِذَاThen whennufikhaنفخنُفِخَis blownfīفيفِىinl-ṣūriالصورٱلصُّورِthe trumpet -nafkhatunنفخةنَفْخَةٌa blastwāḥidatunواحدةوَٰحِدَةٌsingle,And when the trumpet shall sound one blastThen when the Trumpet is blown with a single blast,Then when the Horn is blown with one blastThen, when one blast is sounded on the Trumpet,
14 وَحُمِلَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَٱلْجِبَالُ فَدُكَّتَا دَكَّةٗ وَٰحِدَةٗwaḥumilatiوحملتوَحُمِلَتِAnd are liftedl-arḍuالأرضٱلْأَرْضُthe earthwal-jibāluوالجبالوَٱلْجِبَالُand the mountainsfadukkatāفدكتافَدُكَّتَاand crusheddakkatanدكةدَكَّةً(with) a crushingwāḥidatanواحدةوَٰحِدَةًsingle.And the earth with the mountains shall be lifted up and crushed with one crash,and the earth and mountains are lifted up and crushed with a single blow,And the earth and the mountains are lifted and leveled with one blow [i.e., stroke] -And the earth is moved, and its mountains, and they are crushed to powder at one stroke,-
15 فَيَوْمَئِذٖ وَقَعَتِ ٱلْوَاقِعَةُfayawma-idhinفيومئذفَيَوْمَئِذٍThen (on) that Daywaqaʿatiوقعتوَقَعَتِwill occurl-wāqiʿatuالواقعةٱلْوَاقِعَةُthe Occurrence,Then, on that day will the Event befall.on that Day the Inevitable Event will occur.Then on that Day, the Occurrence [i.e., Resurrection] will occur,On that Day shall the (Great) Event come to pass.
16 وَٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَهِيَ يَوْمَئِذٖ وَاهِيَةَwa-inshaqqatiوانشقتوَٱنشَقَّتِAnd will splitl-samāuالسماءٱلسَّمَآءُthe heaven,fahiyaفهيفَهِىَso ityawma-idhinيومئذيَوْمَئِذٍ(is on) that Daywāhiyatunواهيةوَاهِيَةٌfrail.And the heaven will split asunder, for that day it will be frail.And the sky will split asunder and will be frail[4] on that day,And the heaven will split [open], for that Day it is infirm.[1740]And the sky will be rent asunder, for it will that Day be flimsy,
17 وَٱلْمَلَكُ عَلَىٰٓ أَرْجَآئِهَاۚ وَيَحْمِلُ عَرْشَ رَبِّكَ فَوْقَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٖ ثَمَٰنِيَةَwal-malakuوالملكوَٱلْمَلَكُAnd the Angelsʿalāعلىعَلَىٰٓ(will be) onarjāihāأرجائهاأَرْجَآئِهَاits edges,wayaḥmiluويحملوَيَحْمِلُand will bearʿarshaعرشعَرْشَ(the) Thronerabbikaربكرَبِّكَ(of) your Lordfawqahumفوقهمفَوْقَهُمْabove them,yawma-idhinيومئذيَوْمَئِذٍthat Day,thamāniyatunثمانيةثَمَٰنِيَةٌeight.And the angels will be on the sides thereof, and eight will uphold the Throne of thy Lord that day, above them.with the angels on all its sides, and on that Day, eight [mighty angels] will bear the Throne of your Lord above them.And the angels are at its edges. And there will bear the Throne of your Lord above them, that Day, eight [of them].And the angels will be on its sides, and eight will, that Day, bear the Throne of thy Lord above them.
18 يَوْمَئِذٖ تُعْرَضُونَ لَا تَخْفَىٰ مِنكُمْ خَافِيَةَyawma-idhinيومئذيَوْمَئِذٍThat Day,tuʿ'raḍūnaتعرضونتُعْرَضُونَyou will be exhibited,lāلالَاnottakhfāتخفىتَخْفَىٰwill be hiddenminkumمنكممِنكُمْamong youkhāfiyatunخافيةخَافِيَةٌany secret.On that day ye will be exposed; not a secret of you will be hidden.On that day, you will be brought forth [before Allah], and none of your secrets will remain hidden.That Day, you will be exhibited [for judgement]; not hidden among you is anything concealed.[1741]That Day shall ye be brought to Judgment: not an act of yours that ye hide will be hidden.
19 فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَٰبَهُ بِيَمِينِهِۦ فَيَقُولُ هَآؤُمُ ٱقْرَءُواْ كِتَٰبِيَهْfa-ammāفأمافَأَمَّاThen as formanمنمَنْ(him) whoūtiyaأوتيأُوتِىَis givenkitābahuكتابهكِتَٰبَهُhis recordbiyamīnihiبيمينهبِيَمِينِهِۦin his right handfayaqūluفيقولفَيَقُولُwill say,hāumuهاؤمهَآؤُمُ"Here,iq'raūاقرءواٱقْرَءُواْreadkitābiyahكتابيهكِتَٰبِيَهْmy record!Then, as for him who is given his record in his right hand, he will say: Take, read my book!As for the one who is given his Record in his right hand, he will say, “Here is my Record, read it!So as for he who is given his record in his right hand, he will say, "Here, read my record!Then he that will be given his Record in his right hand will say: "Ah here! Read ye my Record!
20 إِنِّي ظَنَنتُ أَنِّي مُلَٰقٍ حِسَابِيَهْinnīإنيإِنِّىIndeed, Iẓanantuظننتظَنَنتُwas certainannīأنيأَنِّىthat Imulāqinملاقمُلَٰقٍ(will) meetḥisābiyahحسابيهحِسَابِيَهْmy account."Surely I knew that I should have to meet my reckoning.I was sure that I would meet my reckoning.”Indeed, I was certain that I would be meeting my account.""I did really understand that my Account would (One Day) reach me!"
21 فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةٖ رَّاضِيَةٖfahuwaفهوفَهُوَSo hefīفيفِى(will be) inʿīshatinعيشةعِيشَةٍa liferāḍiyatinراضيةرَّاضِيَةٍpleasant,Then he will be in blissful stateSo he will be in a pleasant life,So he will be in a pleasant life -And he will be in a life of Bliss,
22 فِي جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٖfīفيفِىInjannatinجنةجَنَّةٍa Gardenʿāliyatinعاليةعَالِيَةٍelevated,In a high gardenin a lofty garden,In an elevated garden,In a Garden on high,
23 قُطُوفُهَا دَانِيَةَquṭūfuhāقطوفهاقُطُوفُهَاIts clusters of fruitsdāniyatunدانيةدَانِيَةٌhanging near.Whereof the clusters are in easy reach.with clustered fruit within his reach.Its [fruit] to be picked hanging near.The Fruits whereof (will hang in bunches) low and near.
24 كُلُواْ وَٱشْرَبُواْ هَنِيٓـَٔۢا بِمَآ أَسْلَفْتُمْ فِي ٱلْأَيَّامِ ٱلْخَالِيَةِkulūكلواكُلُواْ"Eatwa-ish'rabūواشربواوَٱشْرَبُواْand drinkhanīanهنيئاهَنِيٓـًٔۢا(in) satisfactionbimāبمابِمَآfor whataslaftumأسلفتمأَسْلَفْتُمْyou sent before youfīفيفِىinl-ayāmiالأيامٱلْأَيَّامِthe daysl-khāliyatiالخاليةٱلْخَالِيَةِpast."(And it will be said unto those therein): Eat and drink at ease for that which ye sent on before you in past days.[They will be told,] “Eat and drink joyfully for what you did[5] in the days gone by.”[They will be told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you put forth[1742] in the days past.""Eat ye and drink ye, with full satisfaction; because of the (good) that ye sent before you, in the days that are gone!"
25 وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَٰبَهُ بِشِمَالِهِۦ فَيَقُولُ يَٰلَيْتَنِي لَمْ أُوتَ كِتَٰبِيَهْwa-ammāوأماوَأَمَّاBut as formanمنمَنْ(him) whoūtiyaأوتيأُوتِىَis givenkitābahuكتابهكِتَٰبَهُhis recordbishimālihiبشمالهبِشِمَالِهِۦin his left handfayaqūluفيقولفَيَقُولُwill say,yālaytanīيا ليتنييَٰلَيْتَنِى"O! I wishlamلملَمْnotūtaأوتأُوتَI had been givenkitābiyahكتابيهكِتَٰبِيَهْmy recordBut as for him who is given his record in his left hand, he will say: Oh, would that I had not been given my bookAs for the one who is given his Record in his left hand, he will say, “Would that I had not been given my Record,But as for he who is given his record in his left hand, he will say, "Oh, I wish I had not been given my recordAnd he that will be given his Record in his left hand, will say: "Ah! Would that my Record had not been given to me!
26 وَلَمْ أَدْرِ مَا حِسَابِيَهْwalamولموَلَمْAnd notadriأدرأَدْرِI had knownmāمامَاwhatḥisābiyahحسابيهحِسَابِيَهْ(is) my account.And knew not what my reckoning!nor had I known anything of my reckoning!And had not known what is my account."And that I had never realised how my account (stood)!
27 يَٰلَيْتَهَا كَانَتِ ٱلْقَاضِيَةَyālaytahāيا ليتهايَٰلَيْتَهَاO! I wish itkānatiكانتكَانَتِhad beenl-qāḍiyataالقاضيةٱلْقَاضِيَةَthe endOh, would that it had been death!Would that it [i.e., death] had been the end of me[6]!I wish it [i.e., my death] had been the decisive one.[1743]"Ah! Would that (Death) had made an end of me!
28 مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنِّي مَالِيَهْۜmāمامَآNotaghnāأغنىأَغْنَىٰhas availedʿannīعنيعَنِّىmemāliyahماليهمَالِيَهْmy wealth,My wealth hath not availed me,My wealth has been of no avail to me.My wealth has not availed me."Of no profit to me has been my wealth!
29 هَلَكَ عَنِّي سُلْطَٰنِيَهْhalakaهلكهَلَكَIs goneʿannīعنيعَنِّىfrom mesul'ṭāniyahسلطانيهسُلْطَٰنِيَهْmy authority."My power hath gone from me.My authority has vanished[7].”Gone from me is my authority."[1744]"My power has perished from me!"...
30 خُذُوهُ فَغُلُّوهُkhudhūhuخذوهخُذُوهُ"Seize himfaghullūhuفغلوهفَغُلُّوهُand shackle him,(It will be said): Take him and fetter him[It will be said,] “Seize him and shackle him,[Allāh will say], "Seize him and shackle him.(The stern command will say): "Seize ye him, and bind ye him,
31 ثُمَّ ٱلْجَحِيمَ صَلُّوهُthummaثمثُمَّThenl-jaḥīmaالجحيمٱلْجَحِيمَ(into) the Hellfireṣallūhuصلوهصَلُّوهُburn him.And then expose him to hell-firethen make him burn in the Blazing Fire,Then into Hellfire drive him."And burn ye him in the Blazing Fire.
32 ثُمَّ فِي سِلْسِلَةٖ ذَرْعُهَا سَبْعُونَ ذِرَاعٗا فَٱسْلُكُوهُthummaثمثُمَّThenfīفيفِىintosil'silatinسلسلةسِلْسِلَةٍa chain,dharʿuhāذرعهاذَرْعُهَاits lengthsabʿūnaسبعونسَبْعُونَ(is) seventydhirāʿanذراعاذِرَاعًاcubits,fa-us'lukūhuفاسلكوهفَٱسْلُكُوهُinsert him."And then insert him in a chain whereof the length is seventy cubits.then tie him up with a chain of seventy cubits long.Then into a chain whose length is seventy cubits insert him.""Further, make him march in a chain, whereof the length is seventy cubits!
33 إِنَّهُ كَانَ لَا يُؤْمِنُ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَظِيمِinnahuإنهإِنَّهُIndeed, hekānaكانكَانَwaslāلالَاnotyu'minuيؤمنيُؤْمِنُbelievingbil-lahiباللهبِٱللَّهِin Allahl-ʿaẓīmiالعظيمٱلْعَظِيمِthe Most Great,Lo! He used not to believe in Allah the Tremendous,For he did not believe in Allah, the Most Great,Indeed, he did not used to believe in Allāh, the Most Great,"This was he that would not believe in Allah Most High.
34 وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلْمِسْكِينِwalāولاوَلَاAnd (did) notyaḥuḍḍuيحضيَحُضُّfeel the urgeʿalāعلىعَلَىٰonṭaʿāmiطعامطَعَامِ(the) feedingl-mis'kīniالمسكينٱلْمِسْكِينِ(of) the poor.And urged not on the feeding of the wretched.nor did he encourage feeding the needy.Nor did he encourage the feeding of the poor."And would not encourage the feeding of the indigent!
35 فَلَيْسَ لَهُ ٱلْيَوْمَ هَٰهُنَا حَمِيمَfalaysaفليسفَلَيْسَSo notlahuلهلَهُfor himl-yawmaاليومٱلْيَوْمَtodayhāhunāهاهناهَٰهُنَاhereḥamīmunحميمحَمِيمٌany devoted friend,Therefor hath he no lover here this day,So Today he will have no close friend here,So there is not for him here this Day any devoted friend"So no friend hath he here this Day.
36 وَلَا طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِنْ غِسْلِينٖwalāولاوَلَاAnd notṭaʿāmunطعامطَعَامٌany foodillāإلاإِلَّاexceptminمنمِنْfromghis'līninغسلينغِسْلِينٍ(the) discharge of wounds,Nor any food save filthnor any food except the discharge of wounds,Nor any food except from the discharge of wounds;"Nor hath he any food except the corruption from the washing of wounds,
37 لَّا يَأْكُلُهُٓ إِلَّا ٱلْخَٰطِـُٔونَlāلالَّاNotyakuluhuيأكلهيَأْكُلُهُٓwill eat itillāإلاإِلَّاexceptl-khāṭiūnaالخاطئونٱلْخَٰطِـُٔونَthe sinners.Which none but sinners eat.none will eat it except the sinners.”None will eat it except the sinners."Which none do eat but those in sin."
38 فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِمَا تُبْصِرُونَfalāفلافَلَآBut nay!uq'simuأقسمأُقْسِمُI swearbimāبمابِمَاby whattub'ṣirūnaتبصرونتُبْصِرُونَyou see,But nay! I swear by all that ye seeI swear by what you can see.So I swear by what you seeSo I do call to witness what ye see,
39 وَمَا لَا تُبْصِرُونَwamāوماوَمَاAnd whatlāلالَاnottub'ṣirūnaتبصرونتُبْصِرُونَyou see,And all that ye see notand what you cannot see!And what you do not seeAnd what ye see not,
40 إِنَّهُ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٖ كَرِيمٖinnahuإنهإِنَّهُIndeed, it (is)laqawluلقوللَقَوْلُsurely (the) Wordrasūlinرسولرَسُولٍ(of) a Messengerkarīminكريمكَرِيمٍnoble.That it is indeed the speech of an illustrious messenger.Indeed, this is the word of a noble Messenger[8],[That] indeed, it [i.e., the Qur’ān] is the word of a noble Messenger.That this is verily the word of an honoured messenger;
41 وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَاعِرٖۚ قَلِيلٗا مَّا تُؤْمِنُونَwamāوماوَمَاAnd nothuwaهوهُوَitbiqawliبقولبِقَوْلِ(is the) wordshāʿirinشاعرشَاعِرٍ(of) a poet;qalīlanقليلاقَلِيلًاlittlemāمامَّا(is) whattu'minūnaتؤمنونتُؤْمِنُونَyou believe!It is not poet's speech - little is it that ye believe!and it is not the word of a poet; little do you believe!And it is not the word of a poet; little do you believe.It is not the word of a poet: little it is ye believe!
42 وَلَا بِقَوْلِ كَاهِنٖۚ قَلِيلٗا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَwalāولاوَلَاAnd notbiqawliبقولبِقَوْلِ(it is the) wordkāhininكاهنكَاهِنٍ(of) a soothsayer;qalīlanقليلاقَلِيلًاlittlemāمامَّا(is) whattadhakkarūnaتذكرونتَذَكَّرُونَyou take heed.Nor diviner's speech - little is it that ye remember!Nor is it the word of a soothsayer; little do you take heed!Nor the word of a soothsayer; little do you remember.Nor is it the word of a soothsayer: little admonition it is ye receive.
43 تَنزِيلَ مِّن رَّبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَtanzīlunتنزيلتَنزِيلٌ(It is) a revelationminمنمِّنfromrabbiربرَّبِّ(the) Lordl-ʿālamīnaالعالمينٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ(of) the worlds.It is a revelation from the Lord of the Worlds.It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds.[It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds.(This is) a Message sent down from the Lord of the Worlds.
44 وَلَوْ تَقَوَّلَ عَلَيْنَا بَعْضَ ٱلْأَقَاوِيلِwalawولووَلَوْAnd iftaqawwalaتقولتَقَوَّلَhe (had) fabricatedʿalaynāعليناعَلَيْنَاagainst Usbaʿḍaبعضبَعْضَsomel-aqāwīliالأقاويلٱلْأَقَاوِيلِsayings,And if he had invented false sayings concerning Us,If he had falsely attributed something to Us,And if he [i.e., Muḥammad] had made up about Us some [false] sayings,And if the messenger were to invent any sayings in Our name,
45 لَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُ بِٱلْيَمِينِla-akhadhnāلأخذنالَأَخَذْنَاCertainly We (would) have seizedmin'huمنهمِنْهُhimbil-yamīniباليمينبِٱلْيَمِينِby the right hand;We assuredly had taken him by the right handWe would have surely seized him by the right hand[9],We would have seized him by the right hand;[1745]We should certainly seize him by his right hand,
46 ثُمَّ لَقَطَعْنَا مِنْهُ ٱلْوَتِينَthummaثمثُمَّThenlaqaṭaʿnāلقطعنالَقَطَعْنَاcertainly We (would) have cut offmin'huمنهمِنْهُfrom himl-watīnaالوتينٱلْوَتِينَthe aorta.And then severed his life-artery,then severed his aorta[10],Then We would have cut from him the aorta.[1746]And We should certainly then cut off the artery of his heart:
47 فَمَا مِنكُم مِّنْ أَحَدٍ عَنْهُ حَٰجِزِينَfamāفمافَمَاAnd notminkumمنكممِنكُمfrom youminمنمِّنْanyaḥadinأحدأَحَدٍoneʿanhuعنهعَنْهُ[from him]ḥājizīnaحاجزينحَٰجِزِينَ(who could) prevent (it).And not one of you could have held Us off from him.and none of you could have rescued him.And there is no one of you who could prevent [Us] from him.Nor could any of you withhold him (from Our wrath).
48 وَإِنَّهُ لَتَذْكِرَةَ لِّلْمُتَّقِينَwa-innahuوإنهوَإِنَّهُAnd indeed, itlatadhkiratunلتذكرةلَتَذْكِرَةٌ(is) surely a reminderlil'muttaqīnaللمتقينلِّلْمُتَّقِينَfor the Allah-fearing.And lo! it is a warrant unto those who ward off (evil).This [Qur’an] is indeed a reminder for those who are righteous.And indeed, it [i.e., the Qur’ān] is a reminder for the righteous.But verily this is a Message for the Allah-fearing.
49 وَإِنَّا لَنَعْلَمُ أَنَّ مِنكُم مُّكَذِّبِينَwa-innāوإناوَإِنَّاAnd indeed, Welanaʿlamuلنعلملَنَعْلَمُsurely knowannaأنأَنَّthatminkumمنكممِنكُمamong youmukadhibīnaمكذبينمُّكَذِّبِينَ(are) deniers.And lo! We know that some among you will deny (it).And We surely know that some of you will be deniers,And indeed, We know that among you are deniers.And We certainly know that there are amongst you those that reject (it).
50 وَإِنَّهُ لَحَسْرَةٌ عَلَى ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَwa-innahuوإنهوَإِنَّهُAnd indeed, itlaḥasratunلحسرةلَحَسْرَةٌ(is) surely a regretʿalāعلىعَلَىuponl-kāfirīnaالكافرينٱلْكَٰفِرِينَthe disbelievers.And lo! it is indeed an anguish for the disbelievers.and it[11] will certainly be a source of regret for the disbelievers.And indeed, it will be [a cause of] regret upon the disbelievers.But truly (Revelation) is a cause of sorrow for the Unbelievers.
51 وَإِنَّهُ لَحَقُّ ٱلْيَقِينِwa-innahuوإنهوَإِنَّهُAnd indeed, it (is)laḥaqquلحقلَحَقُّsurely (the) truthl-yaqīniاليقينٱلْيَقِينِ(of) certainty.And lo! it is absolute truth.And this[12] is indeed the absolute truth.And indeed, it is the truth of certainty.But verily it is Truth of assured certainty.
52 فَسَبِّحْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلْعَظِيمِfasabbiḥفسبحفَسَبِّحْSo glorifybi-is'miباسمبِٱسْمِ(the) namerabbikaربكرَبِّكَ(of) your Lord,l-ʿaẓīmiالعظيمٱلْعَظِيمِthe Most Great.So glorify the name of thy Tremendous Lord.So glorify the name of your Lord, the Most Great.So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great.So glorify the name of thy Lord Most High.

ﲲ ﲮ ﲯ ﲰ ﲱ
ﲹ ﲳ ﲴ ﲵ ﲶ ﲷ ﲸ
ﳊ ﲺ ﲻ ﲼ ﲽ ﲾ ﲿ ﳀﳁ ﳂ ﳃ ﳄ ﳅ ﳆ ﳇ ﳈ ﳉ
ﳐ ﳋ ﳌ ﳍ ﳎ ﳏ
ﱇ ﱁ ﱂ ﱃ ﱄ ﱅ ﱆ
ﱎ ﱈ ﱉ ﱊ ﱋ ﱌ ﱍ
ﱖ ﱏ ﱐ ﱑ ﱒ ﱓ ﱔ ﱕ
ﱝ ﱗ ﱘ ﱙ ﱚ ﱛ ﱜ
ﱤ ﱞ ﱟ ﱠ ﱡ ﱢ ﱣ
ﱫ ﱥ ﱦ ﱧ ﱨ ﱩ ﱪ
ﱯ ﱬ ﱭ ﱮ
ﱵ ﱰ ﱱ ﱲ ﱳ ﱴ
ﲀ ﱶ ﱷ ﱸﱹ ﱺ ﱻ ﱼ ﱽ ﱾ ﱿ
ﲇ ﲁ ﲂ ﲃ ﲄ ﲅ ﲆ
ﲑ ﲈ ﲉ ﲊ ﲋ ﲌ ﲍ ﲎ ﲏ ﲐ
ﲗ ﲒ ﲓ ﲔ ﲕ ﲖ
ﲜ ﲘ ﲙ ﲚ ﲛ
ﲠ ﲝ ﲞ ﲟ
ﲣ ﲡ ﲢ
ﲬ ﲤ ﲥ ﲦ ﲧ ﲨ ﲩ ﲪ ﲫ
ﲷ ﲭ ﲮ ﲯ ﲰ ﲱ ﲲ ﲳ ﲴ ﲵ ﲶ

ﱐ ﱌ ﱍ ﱎ ﱏ
ﱔ ﱑ ﱒ ﱓ
ﱙ ﱕ ﱖ ﱗ ﱘ
ﱢ ﱚ ﱛ ﱜ ﱝﱞ ﱟ ﱠ ﱡ
ﱪ ﱣ ﱤ ﱥﱦ ﱧ ﱨ ﱩ
ﱯ ﱫ ﱬ ﱭ ﱮ
ﱵ ﱰ ﱱ ﱲ ﱳ ﱴ
ﱹ ﱶ ﱷ ﱸ
ﱾ ﱺ ﱻ ﱼ ﱽ
ﲅ ﱿ ﲀ ﲁ ﲂ ﲃ ﲄ
ﲉ ﲆ ﲇ ﲈ
ﲏ ﲊ ﲋ ﲌ ﲍ ﲎ

ﲝ ﲙ ﲚ ﲛ ﲜ
ﲟ ﲠ ﲡ ﲢ ﲣ ﲤ ﲥ ﲦ ﲧ ﲨ ﲩ ﲪ ﲫ
ﲬ ﲭ ﲮ ﲯ ﲰ ﲱ ﲲ ﲳ ﲴ ﲵ ﲶ
ﲷ ﲸ ﲹ ﲺ ﲻ ﲼ ﲽ ﲾ ﲿ ﳀﳁ ﳂ
ﳃ ﳄ ﳅ ﳆ ﳇ ﳈ ﳉ ﳊ ﳋ ﳌ ﳍ ﳎ ﳏ ﳐ
ﱁ ﱂ ﱃ ﱄ ﱅ ﱆ ﱇ ﱈ ﱉ
ﱊ ﱋ ﱌ ﱍ ﱎ ﱏ ﱐ ﱑ ﱒ ﱓ ﱔ ﱕ
ﱖ ﱗ ﱘ ﱙ ﱚ ﱛ ﱜ ﱝ ﱞ ﱟ ﱠ ﱡ
ﱢ ﱣ ﱤ ﱥ ﱦ ﱧ ﱨ ﱩ ﱪ ﱫ
ﱬ ﱭ ﱮ ﱯ ﱰ ﱱ ﱲ ﱳ ﱴ
ﱵ ﱶ ﱷ ﱸﱹ ﱺ ﱻ ﱼ ﱽ ﱾ ﱿ
ﲀ ﲁ ﲂ ﲃ ﲄ ﲅ ﲆ ﲇ ﲈ ﲉ ﲊ ﲋ
ﲌ ﲍ ﲎ ﲏ ﲐ ﲑ ﲒ ﲓ ﲔ ﲕ ﲖ
ﲗ ﲘ ﲙ ﲚ ﲛ ﲜ ﲝ ﲞ ﲟ ﲠ ﲡ ﲢ ﲣ
ﲤ ﲥ ﲦ ﲧ ﲨ ﲩ ﲪ ﲫ ﲬ ﲭ ﲮ ﲯ
ﲰ ﲱ ﲲ ﲳ ﲴ ﲵ ﲶ ﲷ ﲸ ﲹ ﲺ ﲻ
ﲼ ﲽ ﲾ ﲿ ﳀ ﳁ ﳂ ﳃ ﳄﳅ ﳆ ﳇ ﳈ ﳉ
ﳊ ﳋ ﳌ ﳍ ﳎ ﳏ ﳐ ﳑ ﳒ ﳓ ﳔ ﳕ

الْحَاقَّةُ ١ مَا الْحَاقَّةُ ٢ وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْحَاقَّةُ ٣ كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ وَعَادٌ
بِالْقَارِعَةِ ٤ فَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَأُهْلِكُوا بِالطَّاغِيَةِ ٥ وَأَمَّا عَادٌ فَأُهْلِكُوا بِرِيحٍ
صَرْصَرٍ عَاتِيَةٍ ٦ سَخَّرَهَا عَلَيْهِمْ سَبْعَ لَيَالٍ وَثَمَانِيَةَ أَيَّامٍ حُسُومًا فَتَرَى
الْقَوْمَ فِيهَا صَرْعَىٰ كَأَنَّهُمْ أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍ خَاوِيَةٍ ٧ فَهَلْ تَرَىٰ لَهُم مِّن بَاقِيَةٍ ٨
وَجَاءَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَن قَبْلَهُ وَالْمُؤْتَفِكَاتُ بِالْخَاطِئَةِ ٩ فَعَصَوْا رَسُولَ
رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَهُمْ أَخْذَةً رَّابِيَةً ١٠ إِنَّا لَمَّا طَغَى الْمَاءُ حَمَلْنَاكُمْ فِي الْجَارِيَةِ
١١ لِنَجْعَلَهَا لَكُمْ تَذْكِرَةً وَتَعِيَهَا أُذُنٌ وَاعِيَةٌ ١٢ فَإِذَا نُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ
نَفْخَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ ١٣ وَحُمِلَتِ الْأَرْضُ وَالْجِبَالُ فَدُكَّتَا دَكَّةً وَاحِدَةً ١٤
فَيَوْمَئِذٍ وَقَعَتِ الْوَاقِعَةُ ١٥ وَانشَقَّتِ السَّمَاءُ فَهِيَ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَاهِيَةٌ
١٦ وَالْمَلَكُ عَلَىٰ أَرْجَائِهَا وَيَحْمِلُ عَرْشَ رَبِّكَ فَوْقَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ ثَمَانِيَةٌ
١٧ يَوْمَئِذٍ تُعْرَضُونَ لَا تَخْفَىٰ مِنكُمْ خَافِيَةٌ ١٨ فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَابَهُ
بِيَمِينِهِ فَيَقُولُ هَاؤُمُ اقْرَءُوا كِتَابِيَهْ ١٩ إِنِّي ظَنَنتُ أَنِّي مُلَاقٍ حِسَابِيَهْ
٢٠ فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةٍ رَّاضِيَةٍ ٢١ فِي جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍ ٢٢ قُطُوفُهَا دَانِيَةٌ ٢٣
كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا هَنِيئًا بِمَا أَسْلَفْتُمْ فِي الْأَيَّامِ الْخَالِيَةِ ٢٤ وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِيَ
كِتَابَهُ بِشِمَالِهِ فَيَقُولُ يَا لَيْتَنِي لَمْ أُوتَ كِتَابِيَهْ ٢٥ وَلَمْ أَدْرِ مَا حِسَابِيَهْ
٢٦ يَا لَيْتَهَا كَانَتِ الْقَاضِيَةَ ٢٧ مَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنِّي مَالِيَهْ ٢٨ هَلَكَ عَنِّي سُلْطَانِيَهْ
٢٩ خُذُوهُ فَغُلُّوهُ ٣٠ ثُمَّ الْجَحِيمَ صَلُّوهُ ٣١ ثُمَّ فِي سِلْسِلَةٍ ذَرْعُهَا
سَبْعُونَ ذِرَاعًا فَاسْلُكُوهُ ٣٢ إِنَّهُ كَانَ لَا يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ الْعَظِيمِ ٣٣
وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِينِ ٣٤ فَلَيْسَ لَهُ الْيَوْمَ هَاهُنَا حَمِيمٌ ٣٥
وَلَا طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِنْ غِسْلِينٍ ٣٦ لَّا يَأْكُلُهُ إِلَّا الْخَاطِئُونَ ٣٧ فَلَا أُقْسِمُ
بِمَا تُبْصِرُونَ ٣٨ وَمَا لَا تُبْصِرُونَ ٣٩ إِنَّهُ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍ كَرِيمٍ ٤٠ وَمَا هُوَ
بِقَوْلِ شَاعِرٍ قَلِيلًا مَّا تُؤْمِنُونَ ٤١ وَلَا بِقَوْلِ كَاهِنٍ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ
٤٢ تَنزِيلٌ مِّن رَّبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ٤٣ وَلَوْ تَقَوَّلَ عَلَيْنَا بَعْضَ الْأَقَاوِيلِ ٤٤
لَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُ بِالْيَمِينِ ٤٥ ثُمَّ لَقَطَعْنَا مِنْهُ الْوَتِينَ ٤٦ فَمَا مِنكُم
مِّنْ أَحَدٍ عَنْهُ حَاجِزِينَ ٤٧ وَإِنَّهُ لَتَذْكِرَةٌ لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ ٤٨ وَإِنَّا
لَنَعْلَمُ أَنَّ مِنكُم مُّكَذِّبِينَ ٤٩ وَإِنَّهُ لَحَسْرَةٌ عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ
٥٠ وَإِنَّهُ لَحَقُّ الْيَقِينِ ٥١ فَسَبِّحْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الْعَظِيمِ ٥٢
ٱلْحَآقَّةُ ۝١ مَا ٱلْحَآقَّةُ ۝٢ وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْحَآقَّةُ ۝٣ كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ وَعَادُۢ
بِٱلْقَارِعَةِ ۝٤ فَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَأُهْلِكُواْ بِٱلطَّاغِيَةِ ۝٥ وَأَمَّا عَادَ فَأُهْلِكُواْ بِرِيحٖ
صَرْصَرٍ عَاتِيَةٖ ۝٦ سَخَّرَهَا عَلَيْهِمْ سَبْعَ لَيَالٖ وَثَمَٰنِيَةَ أَيَّامٍ حُسُومٗاۖ فَتَرَى
ٱلْقَوْمَ فِيهَا صَرْعَىٰ كَأَنَّهُمْ أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍ خَاوِيَةٖ ۝٧ فَهَلْ تَرَىٰ لَهُم مِّنۢ بَاقِيَةٖ ۝٨
وَجَآءَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَن قَبْلَهُ وَٱلْمُؤْتَفِكَٰتُ بِٱلْخَاطِئَةِ ۝٩ فَعَصَوْاْ رَسُولَ
رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَهُمْ أَخْذَةٗ رَّابِيَةً ۝١٠ إِنَّا لَمَّا طَغَا ٱلْمَآءُ حَمَلْنَٰكُمْ فِي ٱلْجَارِيَةِ
۝١١ لِنَجْعَلَهَا لَكُمْ تَذْكِرَةٗ وَتَعِيَهَآ أُذُنَ وَٰعِيَةَ ۝١٢ فَإِذَا نُفِخَ فِي ٱلصُّورِ
نَفْخَةَ وَٰحِدَةَ ۝١٣ وَحُمِلَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَٱلْجِبَالُ فَدُكَّتَا دَكَّةٗ وَٰحِدَةٗ ۝١٤
فَيَوْمَئِذٖ وَقَعَتِ ٱلْوَاقِعَةُ ۝١٥ وَٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَهِيَ يَوْمَئِذٖ وَاهِيَةَ
۝١٦ وَٱلْمَلَكُ عَلَىٰٓ أَرْجَآئِهَاۚ وَيَحْمِلُ عَرْشَ رَبِّكَ فَوْقَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٖ ثَمَٰنِيَةَ
۝١٧ يَوْمَئِذٖ تُعْرَضُونَ لَا تَخْفَىٰ مِنكُمْ خَافِيَةَ ۝١٨ فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَٰبَهُ
بِيَمِينِهِۦ فَيَقُولُ هَآؤُمُ ٱقْرَءُواْ كِتَٰبِيَهْ ۝١٩ إِنِّي ظَنَنتُ أَنِّي مُلَٰقٍ حِسَابِيَهْ
۝٢٠ فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةٖ رَّاضِيَةٖ ۝٢١ فِي جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٖ ۝٢٢ قُطُوفُهَا دَانِيَةَ ۝٢٣

كِتَٰبَهُ بِشِمَالِهِۦ فَيَقُولُ يَٰلَيْتَنِي لَمْ أُوتَ كِتَٰبِيَهْ ۝٢٥ وَلَمْ أَدْرِ مَا حِسَابِيَهْ
۝٢٦ يَٰلَيْتَهَا كَانَتِ ٱلْقَاضِيَةَ ۝٢٧ مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنِّي مَالِيَهْۜ ۝٢٨ هَلَكَ عَنِّي سُلْطَٰنِيَهْ
۝٢٩ خُذُوهُ فَغُلُّوهُ ۝٣٠ ثُمَّ ٱلْجَحِيمَ صَلُّوهُ ۝٣١ ثُمَّ فِي سِلْسِلَةٖ ذَرْعُهَا
سَبْعُونَ ذِرَاعٗا فَٱسْلُكُوهُ ۝٣٢ إِنَّهُ كَانَ لَا يُؤْمِنُ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ۝٣٣
وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلْمِسْكِينِ ۝٣٤ فَلَيْسَ لَهُ ٱلْيَوْمَ هَٰهُنَا حَمِيمَ ۝٣٥

بِقَوْلِ شَاعِرٖۚ قَلِيلٗا مَّا تُؤْمِنُونَ ۝٤١ وَلَا بِقَوْلِ كَاهِنٖۚ قَلِيلٗا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ
۝٤٢ تَنزِيلَ مِّن رَّبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ۝٤٣ وَلَوْ تَقَوَّلَ عَلَيْنَا بَعْضَ ٱلْأَقَاوِيلِ ۝٤٤
لَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُ بِٱلْيَمِينِ ۝٤٥ ثُمَّ لَقَطَعْنَا مِنْهُ ٱلْوَتِينَ ۝٤٦ فَمَا مِنكُم
مِّنْ أَحَدٍ عَنْهُ حَٰجِزِينَ ۝٤٧ وَإِنَّهُ لَتَذْكِرَةَ لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ ۝٤٨ وَإِنَّا
