The Small Kindnesses
1 أَرَءَيۡتَ ٱلَّذِي يُكَذِّبُ بِٱلدِّينِara-aytaأرأيتأَرَءَيْتَHave you seenalladhīالذيٱلَّذِىthe one whoyukadhibuيكذبيُكَذِّبُdeniesbil-dīniبالدينبِٱلدِّينِthe Judgment?Hast thou observed him who belieth religion?Have you seen the one who denies the Recompense?Have you seen the one who denies the Recompense?Seest thou one who denies the Judgment (to come)?
2 فَذَٰلِكَ ٱلَّذِي يَدُعُّ ٱلۡيَتِيمَfadhālikaفذلكفَذَٰلِكَThen thatalladhīالذيٱلَّذِى(is) the one whoyaduʿʿuيدعيَدُعُّrepulsesl-yatīmaاليتيمٱلْيَتِيمَthe orphan,That is he who repelleth the orphan,Such is the one who repulses the orphan harshly,For that is the one who drives away the orphanThen such is the (man) who repulses the orphan (with harshness),
3 وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلۡمِسۡكِينِwalāولاوَلَاAnd (does) notyaḥuḍḍuيحضيَحُضُّfeel the urgeʿalāعلىعَلَىٰtoṭaʿāmiطعامطَعَامِfeedl-mis'kīniالمسكينٱلْمِسْكِينِthe poor.And urgeth not the feeding of the needy.and does not urge others to feed the needy.And does not encourage the feeding of the poor.And encourages not the feeding of the indigent.
4 فَوَيۡلٞ لِّلۡمُصَلِّينَfawaylunفويلفَوَيْلٌSo woelil'muṣallīnaللمصلينلِّلْمُصَلِّينَto those who pray,Ah, woe unto worshippersSo woe to those who pray,So woe to those who praySo woe to the worshippers
5 ٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ عَن صَلَاتِهِمۡ سَاهُونَalladhīnaالذينٱلَّذِينَThose whohumهمهُمْ[they]ʿanعنعَنaboutṣalātihimصلاتهمصَلَاتِهِمْtheir prayerssāhūnaساهونسَاهُونَ(are) neglectful,Who are heedless of their prayer;but are heedless of their prayer[1];[But] who are heedless of their prayer[2000] -Who are neglectful of their prayers,
6 ٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ يُرَآءُونَalladhīnaالذينٱلَّذِينَThose whohumهمهُمْ[they]yurāūnaيراءونيُرَآءُونَmake show.Who would be seen (at worship)those who only show off,Those who make show [of their deeds]Those who (want but) to be seen (of men),
7 وَيَمۡنَعُونَ ٱلۡمَاعُونَwayamnaʿūnaويمنعونوَيَمْنَعُونَAnd they denyl-māʿūnaالماعونٱلْمَاعُونَ[the] small kindnesses.Yet refuse small kindnesses!and withhold even the small kindnesses.And withhold [simple] assistance.But refuse (to supply) (even) neighbourly needs.
1 أَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي يُكَذِّبُ بِالدِّينِ
2 فَذَٰلِكَ الَّذِي يَدُعُّ الْيَتِيمَ
3 وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِينِ
4 فَوَيْلٌ لِّلْمُصَلِّينَ
5 الَّذِينَ هُمْ عَن صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُونَ
6 الَّذِينَ هُمْ يُرَاءُونَ
7 وَيَمْنَعُونَ الْمَاعُونَ

ﱖ ﱗ ﱘ ﱙ ﱚ ﱛ ﱜ ﱝ
ﱞ ﱟ ﱠ ﱡ ﱢ ﱣ ﱤ ﱥ ﱦ
ﱧ ﱨ ﱩ ﱪ ﱫ ﱬ ﱭ
ﱮ ﱯ ﱰ ﱱ ﱲ ﱳ ﱴ ﱵ
أَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي يُكَذِّبُ بِالدِّينِ ١ فَذَٰلِكَ الَّذِي يَدُعُّ
الْيَتِيمَ ٢ وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِينِ ٣ فَوَيْلٌ

٥ الَّذِينَ هُمْ يُرَاءُونَ ٦ وَيَمْنَعُونَ الْمَاعُونَ ٧
أَرَءَيْتَ ٱلَّذِي يُكَذِّبُ بِٱلدِّينِ ۝١ فَذَٰلِكَ ٱلَّذِي يَدُعُّ
ٱلْيَتِيمَ ۝٢ وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلْمِسْكِينِ ۝٣ فَوَيْلَ
لِّلْمُصَلِّينَ ۝٤ ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عَن صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُونَ
۝٥ ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ يُرَآءُونَ ۝٦ وَيَمْنَعُونَ ٱلْمَاعُونَ ۝٧
ﱖ ﱗ ﱘ ﱙ ﱚ ﱛ ﱜ ﱝ
ﱞ ﱟ ﱠ ﱡ ﱢ ﱣ ﱤ ﱥ ﱦ
ﱧ ﱨ ﱩ ﱪ ﱫ ﱬ ﱭ ﱮ
ﱯ ﱰ ﱱ ﱲ ﱳ ﱴ ﱵ
