Rivalry in Worldly Increase
1 أَلۡهَىٰكُمُ ٱلتَّكَاثُرُalhākumuألهاكمأَلْهَىٰكُمُDiverts youl-takāthuruالتكاثرٱلتَّكَاثُرُthe competition to increaseRivalry in worldly increase distracteth youCompetition for worldly gains distracts you [from Allah],Competition in [worldly] increase diverts youThe mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things),
2 حَتَّىٰ زُرۡتُمُ ٱلۡمَقَابِرَḥattāحتىحَتَّىٰUntilzur'tumuزرتمزُرْتُمُyou visitl-maqābiraالمقابرٱلْمَقَابِرَthe graves.Until ye come to the graves.until you come to your graves.Until you visit the graveyards.[1980]Until ye visit the graves.
3 كَلَّا سَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَkallāكلاكَلَّاNay!sawfaسوفسَوْفَSoontaʿlamūnaتعلمونتَعْلَمُونَyou will know.Nay, but ye will come to know!No indeed! You will come to know.No! You are going to know.But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality).
4 ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَthummaثمثُمَّThen,kallāكلاكَلَّاnay!sawfaسوفسَوْفَSoontaʿlamūnaتعلمونتَعْلَمُونَyou will know.Nay, but ye will come to know!Again no! You will come to know.Then, no! You are going to know.Again, ye soon shall know!
5 كَلَّا لَوۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ عِلۡمَ ٱلۡيَقِينِkallāكلاكَلَّاNay!lawلولَوْIftaʿlamūnaتعلمونتَعْلَمُونَyou knowʿil'maعلمعِلْمَ(with) a knowledgel-yaqīniاليقينٱلْيَقِينِ(of) certainty.Nay, would that ye knew (now) with a sure knowledge!No indeed! If only you knew for certain[1].No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty...[1981]Nay, were ye to know with certainty of mind, (ye would beware!)
6 لَتَرَوُنَّ ٱلۡجَحِيمَlatarawunnaلترونلَتَرَوُنَّSurely you will seel-jaḥīmaالجحيمٱلْجَحِيمَthe Hellfire.For ye will behold hell-fire.You will surely see the Blazing Fire,You will surely see the Hellfire.Ye shall certainly see Hell-Fire!
7 ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيۡنَ ٱلۡيَقِينِthummaثمثُمَّThenlatarawunnahāلترونهالَتَرَوُنَّهَاsurely you will see itʿaynaعينعَيْنَ(with the) eyel-yaqīniاليقينٱلْيَقِينِ(of) certainty.Aye, ye will behold it with sure vision.Again, you will see it with absolute certainty.Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty.[1982]Again, ye shall see it with certainty of sight!
8 ثُمَّ لَتُسۡـَٔلُنَّ يَوۡمَئِذٍ عَنِ ٱلنَّعِيمِthummaثمثُمَّThen,latus'alunnaلتسألنلَتُسْـَٔلُنَّsurely you will be askedyawma-idhinيومئذيَوْمَئِذٍthat Dayʿaniعنعَنِaboutl-naʿīmiالنعيمٱلنَّعِيمِthe pleasures.Then, on that day, ye will be asked concerning pleasure.Then on that Day you will surely be asked about your worldly pleasures[2].Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure.[1983]Then, shall ye be questioned that Day about the joy (ye indulged in!).
1 أَلْهَاكُمُ التَّكَاثُرُ
2 حَتَّىٰ زُرْتُمُ الْمَقَابِرَ
3 كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ
4 ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ
5 كَلَّا لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عِلْمَ الْيَقِينِ
6 لَتَرَوُنَّ الْجَحِيمَ
7 ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيْنَ الْيَقِينِ
8 ثُمَّ لَتُسْأَلُنَّ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنِ النَّعِيمِ

ﲟ ﲠ ﲡ ﲢ ﲣ ﲤ ﲥ ﲦ ﲧ ﲨ ﲩ ﲪ ﲫ
ﲬ ﲭ ﲮ ﲯ ﲰ ﲱ ﲲ ﲳ ﲴ ﲵ ﲶ
أَلْهَاكُمُ التَّكَاثُرُ ١ حَتَّىٰ زُرْتُمُ الْمَقَابِرَ ٢ كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ ٣ ثُمَّ
كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ ٤ كَلَّا لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عِلْمَ الْيَقِينِ ٥ لَتَرَوُنَّ الْجَحِيمَ ٦
ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيْنَ الْيَقِينِ ٧ ثُمَّ لَتُسْأَلُنَّ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنِ النَّعِيمِ ٨
أَلْهَىٰكُمُ ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ ۝١ حَتَّىٰ زُرْتُمُ ٱلْمَقَابِرَ ۝٢ كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ ۝٣ ثُمَّ
كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ ۝٤ كَلَّا لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عِلْمَ ٱلْيَقِينِ ۝٥ لَتَرَوُنَّ ٱلْجَحِيمَ ۝٦
ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيْنَ ٱلْيَقِينِ ۝٧ ثُمَّ لَتُسْـَٔلُنَّ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ ۝٨
ﲓ ﲔ ﲕ ﲖ ﲗ ﲘ ﲙ ﲚ ﲛ ﲜ ﲝ ﲞ
ﲟ ﲠ ﲡ ﲢ ﲣ ﲤ ﲥ ﲦ ﲧ ﲨ ﲩ ﲪ ﲫ
ﲬ ﲭ ﲮ ﲯ ﲰ ﲱ ﲲ ﲳ ﲴ ﲵ ﲶ
