The Night-Comer
| 1 | وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلطَّارِقِwal-samāiوالسماءوَٱلسَّمَآءِBy the skywal-ṭāriqiوالطارقوَٱلطَّارِقِand the night comer,By the heaven and the Morning StarBy the sky and the night comer –By the sky and the knockerBy the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- |
| 2 | وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلطَّارِقُwamāوماوَمَآAnd whatadrākaأدراكأَدْرَىٰكَcan make you knowmāمامَاwhatl-ṭāriquالطارقٱلطَّارِقُthe night comer (is)?- Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is!and how do you know what the night comer is?And what can make you know what is the knocker?And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- |
| 3 | ٱلنَّجۡمُ ٱلثَّاقِبُal-najmuالنجمٱلنَّجْمُ(It is) the star,l-thāqibuالثاقبٱلثَّاقِبُthe piercing!- The piercing Star!It is the star of piercing brightness[1] –It is the piercing star[1901].(It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- |
| 4 | إِن كُلُّ نَفۡسٖ لَّمَّا عَلَيۡهَا حَافِظٞinإنإِنNotkulluكلكُلُّ(is) everynafsinنفسنَفْسٍsoullammāلمالَّمَّاbutʿalayhāعليهاعَلَيْهَاover itḥāfiẓunحافظحَافِظٌ(is) a protector.No human soul but hath a guardian over it.there is no soul except that there is a watcher over it.There is no soul but that it has over it a protector.There is no soul but has a protector over it. |
| 5 | فَلۡيَنظُرِ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ مِمَّ خُلِقَfalyanẓuriفلينظرفَلْيَنظُرِSo let seel-insānuالإنسانٱلْإِنسَٰنُmanmimmaمممِمَّfrom whatkhuliqaخلقخُلِقَhe is created.So let man consider from what he is created.Let man reflect on what he was created from.So let man observe from what he was created.Now let man but think from what he is created! |
| 6 | خُلِقَ مِن مَّآءٖ دَافِقٖkhuliqaخلقخُلِقَHe is createdminمنمِنfrommāinماءمَّآءٍa water,dāfiqinدافقدَافِقٍejected,He is created from a gushing fluidHe was created from a spurting fluid,He was created from a fluid, ejected,He is created from a drop emitted- |
| 7 | يَخۡرُجُ مِنۢ بَيۡنِ ٱلصُّلۡبِ وَٱلتَّرَآئِبِyakhrujuيخرجيَخْرُجُComing forthminمنمِنۢfrombayniبينبَيْنِbetweenl-ṣul'biالصلبٱلصُّلْبِthe backbonewal-tarāibiوالترائبوَٱلتَّرَآئِبِand the ribs.That issued from between the loins and ribs.emerging from between the backbone and the ribs[2].Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs.Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs: |
| 8 | إِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ رَجۡعِهِۦ لَقَادِرٞinnahuإنهإِنَّهُۥIndeed, Heʿalāعلىعَلَىٰtorajʿihiرجعهرَجْعِهِۦreturn himlaqādirunلقادرلَقَادِرٌ(is) Able.Lo! He verily is Able to return him (unto life)Indeed, Allah is able to bring him back to life.Indeed, He [i.e., Allāh], to return him [to life], is Able.Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! |
| 9 | يَوۡمَ تُبۡلَى ٱلسَّرَآئِرُyawmaيوميَوْمَ(The) Daytub'lāتبلىتُبْلَىwill be testedl-sarāiruالسرائرٱلسَّرَآئِرُthe secrets,On the day when hidden thoughts shall be searched out.On the Day when all secrets will be disclosed[3],The Day when secrets will be put on trial,[1902]The Day that (all) things secret will be tested, |
| 10 | فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن قُوَّةٖ وَلَا نَاصِرٖfamāفمافَمَاThen notlahuلهلَهُۥ(is) for himminمنمِنanyquwwatinقوةقُوَّةٍpowerwalāولاوَلَاand notnāṣirinناصرنَاصِرٍany helper.Then will he have no might nor any helper.he will then have no power, nor any helper.Then he [i.e., man] will have no power or any helper.(Man) will have no power, and no helper. |
| 11 | وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلرَّجۡعِwal-samāiوالسماءوَٱلسَّمَآءِBy the skydhātiذاتذَاتِwhichl-rajʿiالرجعٱلرَّجْعِreturns,By the heaven which giveth the returning rain,By the sky and its recurring rain[4],By the sky which sends back[1903]By the Firmament which returns (in its round), |
| 12 | وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ ذَاتِ ٱلصَّدۡعِwal-arḍiوالأرضوَٱلْأَرْضِAnd the earthdhātiذاتذَاتِwhichl-ṣadʿiالصدعٱلصَّدْعِcracks open,And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants)and by the earth that cracks open [with the sprout of plants],And [by] the earth which splits,[1904]And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),- |
| 13 | إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوۡلٞ فَصۡلٞinnahuإنهإِنَّهُۥIndeed, itlaqawlunلقوللَقَوْلٌ(is) surely a Wordfaṣlunفصلفَصْلٌdecisive,Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word,Indeed, this [Qur’an] is a decisive word,Indeed, it [i.e., the Qur’ān] is a decisive statement,Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): |
| 14 | وَمَا هُوَ بِٱلۡهَزۡلِwamāوماوَمَاAnd nothuwaهوهُوَitbil-hazliبالهزلبِٱلْهَزْلِ(is) for amusement.It is no pleasantry.which is not for amusement.And it is not amusement.It is not a thing for amusement. |
| 15 | إِنَّهُمۡ يَكِيدُونَ كَيۡدٗاinnahumإنهمإِنَّهُمْIndeed, theyyakīdūnaيكيدونيَكِيدُونَare plottingkaydanكيداكَيْدًاa plot,Lo! they plot a plot (against thee, O Muhammad)Indeed, they are devising a plan.Indeed, they are planning a plan,As for them, they are but plotting a scheme, |
| 16 | وَأَكِيدُ كَيۡدٗاwa-akīduوأكيدوَأَكِيدُBut I am planningkaydanكيداكَيْدًاa plan.And I plot a plot (against them).I am too devising a plan.But I am planning a plan.And I am planning a scheme. |
| 17 | فَمَهِّلِ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ أَمۡهِلۡهُمۡ رُوَيۡدَۢاfamahhiliفمهلفَمَهِّلِSo give respitel-kāfirīnaالكافرينٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ(to) the disbelievers.amhil'humأمهلهمأَمْهِلْهُمْGive respite to them -ruwaydanرويدارُوَيْدًۢاlittle.So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal thou gently with them for a while.So bear with the disbelievers, and give them respite for a while[5].So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile.[1905]Therefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: Give respite to them gently (for awhile). |
| 1 | وَالسَّمَاءِ وَالطَّارِقِ |
| 2 | وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الطَّارِقُ |
| 3 | النَّجْمُ الثَّاقِبُ |
| 4 | إِن كُلُّ نَفْسٍ لَّمَّا عَلَيْهَا حَافِظٌ |
| 5 | فَلْيَنظُرِ الْإِنسَانُ مِمَّ خُلِقَ |
| 6 | خُلِقَ مِن مَّاءٍ دَافِقٍ |
| 7 | يَخْرُجُ مِن بَيْنِ الصُّلْبِ وَالتَّرَائِبِ |
| 8 | إِنَّهُ عَلَىٰ رَجْعِهِ لَقَادِرٌ |
| 9 | يَوْمَ تُبْلَى السَّرَائِرُ |
| 10 | فَمَا لَهُ مِن قُوَّةٍ وَلَا نَاصِرٍ |
| 11 | وَالسَّمَاءِ ذَاتِ الرَّجْعِ |
| 12 | وَالْأَرْضِ ذَاتِ الصَّدْعِ |
| 13 | إِنَّهُ لَقَوْلٌ فَصْلٌ |
| 14 | وَمَا هُوَ بِالْهَزْلِ |
| 15 | إِنَّهُمْ يَكِيدُونَ كَيْدًا |
| 16 | وَأَكِيدُ كَيْدًا |
| 17 | فَمَهِّلِ الْكَافِرِينَ أَمْهِلْهُمْ رُوَيْدًا |
| 1 | وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلطَّارِقِwal-samāiوالسماءوَٱلسَّمَآءِBy the skywal-ṭāriqiوالطارقوَٱلطَّارِقِand the night comer,By the heaven and the Morning StarBy the sky and the night comer –By the sky and the knockerBy the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- |

ﱼ ﱽ ﱾ ﱿ ﲀ ﲁ ﲂ ﲃ ﲄ ﲅ ﲆ
ﲇ ﲈ ﲉ ﲊ ﲋ ﲌ ﲍ ﲎ
وَالسَّمَاءِ وَالطَّارِقِ ١ وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الطَّارِقُ ٢ النَّجْمُ الثَّاقِبُ
٣ إِن كُلُّ نَفْسٍ لَّمَّا عَلَيْهَا حَافِظٌ ٤ فَلْيَنظُرِ الْإِنسَانُ مِمَّ خُلِقَ ٥
خُلِقَ مِن مَّاءٍ دَافِقٍ ٦ يَخْرُجُ مِن بَيْنِ الصُّلْبِ وَالتَّرَائِبِ ٧ إِنَّهُ عَلَىٰ
رَجْعِهِ لَقَادِرٌ ٨ يَوْمَ تُبْلَى السَّرَائِرُ ٩ فَمَا لَهُ مِن قُوَّةٍ وَلَا نَاصِرٍ
١٠ وَالسَّمَاءِ ذَاتِ الرَّجْعِ ١١ وَالْأَرْضِ ذَاتِ الصَّدْعِ ١٢ إِنَّهُ
لَقَوْلٌ فَصْلٌ ١٣ وَمَا هُوَ بِالْهَزْلِ ١٤ إِنَّهُمْ يَكِيدُونَ كَيْدًا ١٥
وَأَكِيدُ كَيْدًا ١٦ فَمَهِّلِ الْكَافِرِينَ أَمْهِلْهُمْ رُوَيْدًا ١٧
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلطَّارِقِ ١ وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلطَّارِقُ ٢ ٱلنَّجْمُ ٱلثَّاقِبُ
٣ إِن كُلُّ نَفْسٖ لَّمَّا عَلَيْهَا حَافِظَ ٤ فَلْيَنظُرِ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ مِمَّ خُلِقَ ٥
خُلِقَ مِن مَّآءٖ دَافِقٖ ٦ يَخْرُجُ مِنۢ بَيْنِ ٱلصُّلْبِ وَٱلتَّرَآئِبِ ٧ إِنَّهُ عَلَىٰ
رَجْعِهِۦ لَقَادِرَ ٨ يَوْمَ تُبْلَى ٱلسَّرَآئِرُ ٩ فَمَا لَهُ مِن قُوَّةٖ وَلَا نَاصِرٖ
١٠ وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلرَّجْعِ ١١ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ذَاتِ ٱلصَّدْعِ ١٢ إِنَّهُ
لَقَوْلَ فَصْلَ ١٣ وَمَا هُوَ بِٱلْهَزْلِ ١٤ إِنَّهُمْ يَكِيدُونَ كَيْدٗا ١٥
وَأَكِيدُ كَيْدٗا ١٦ فَمَهِّلِ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ أَمْهِلْهُمْ رُوَيْدَۢا ١٧
ﱁ ﱂ ﱃ ﱄ ﱅ ﱆ ﱇ ﱈ ﱉ ﱊ ﱋ
ﱌ ﱍ ﱎ ﱏ ﱐ ﱑ ﱒ ﱓ ﱔ ﱕ ﱖ ﱗ
ﱘ ﱙ ﱚ ﱛ ﱜ ﱝ ﱞ ﱟ ﱠ ﱡ ﱢ ﱣ
ﱤ ﱥ ﱦ ﱧ ﱨ ﱩ ﱪ ﱫ ﱬ ﱭ ﱮ ﱯ ﱰ
ﱱ ﱲ ﱳ ﱴ ﱵ ﱶ ﱷ ﱸ ﱹ ﱺ
ﱻ ﱼ ﱽ ﱾ ﱿ ﲀ ﲁ ﲂ ﲃ ﲄ ﲅ ﲆ
ﲇ ﲈ ﲉ ﲊ ﲋ ﲌ ﲍ ﲎ
