The Earthquake
| 1 | إِذَا زُلۡزِلَتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ زِلۡزَالَهَاidhāإذاإِذَاWhenzul'zilatiزلزلتزُلْزِلَتِis shakenl-arḍuالأرضٱلْأَرْضُthe earthzil'zālahāزلزالهازِلْزَالَهَا(with) its earthquake,When Earth is shaken with her (final) earthquakeWhen the earth is shaken with a mighty quake,When the earth is shaken with its [final] earthquakeWhen the earth is shaken to her (utmost) convulsion, |
| 2 | وَأَخۡرَجَتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ أَثۡقَالَهَاwa-akhrajatiوأخرجتوَأَخْرَجَتِAnd brings forthl-arḍuالأرضٱلْأَرْضُthe earthathqālahāأثقالهاأَثْقَالَهَاits burdens,And Earth yieldeth up her burdens,and the earth throws out its burdens[1],And the earth discharges its burdens[1962]And the earth throws up her burdens (from within), |
| 3 | وَقَالَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ مَا لَهَاwaqālaوقالوَقَالَAnd saysl-insānuالإنسانٱلْإِنسَٰنُman,māمامَا"Whatlahāلهالَهَا(is) with it?"And man saith: What aileth her?and man says[2], “What is the matter with it?”And man says,[1963] "What is [wrong] with it?" -And man cries (distressed): 'What is the matter with her?'- |
| 4 | يَوۡمَئِذٖ تُحَدِّثُ أَخۡبَارَهَاyawma-idhinيومئذيَوْمَئِذٍThat Day,tuḥaddithuتحدثتُحَدِّثُit will reportakhbārahāأخبارهاأَخْبَارَهَاits news,That day she will relate her chronicles,On that Day it will recount all its news,That Day, it will report its newsOn that Day will she declare her tidings: |
| 5 | بِأَنَّ رَبَّكَ أَوۡحَىٰ لَهَاbi-annaبأنبِأَنَّBecauserabbakaربكرَبَّكَyour Lordawḥāأوحىأَوْحَىٰinspiredlahāلهالَهَا[to] it.Because thy Lord inspireth her.because your Lord has inspired it [to do so].Because your Lord has inspired [i.e., commanded] it.For that thy Lord will have given her inspiration. |
| 6 | يَوۡمَئِذٖ يَصۡدُرُ ٱلنَّاسُ أَشۡتَاتٗا لِّيُرَوۡاْ أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡyawma-idhinيومئذيَوْمَئِذٍThat Dayyaṣduruيصدريَصْدُرُwill proceedl-nāsuالناسٱلنَّاسُthe mankindashtātanأشتاتاأَشْتَاتًا(in) scattered groupsliyurawليروالِّيُرَوْاْto be shownaʿmālahumأعمالهمأَعْمَٰلَهُمْtheir deeds.That day mankind will issue forth in scattered groups to be shown their deeds.On that Day all people will come forward in separate groups to be shown their deeds[3].That Day, the people will depart[1964] separated [into categories] to be shown [the result of] their deeds.On that Day will men proceed in companies sorted out, to be shown the deeds that they (had done). |
| 7 | فَمَن يَعۡمَلۡ مِثۡقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيۡرٗا يَرَهُۥfamanفمنفَمَنSo whoeveryaʿmalيعمليَعْمَلْdoesmith'qālaمثقالمِثْقَالَ(equal to the) weightdharratinذرةذَرَّةٍ(of) an atomkhayranخيراخَيْرًاgood,yarahuيرهيَرَهُۥwill see it,And whoso doeth good an atom's weight will see it then,So whoever does an atom’s weight[4] of good will see it,So whoever does an atom's weight[1965] of good will see it,Then shall anyone who has done an atom's weight of good, see it! |
| 8 | وَمَن يَعۡمَلۡ مِثۡقَالَ ذَرَّةٖ شَرّٗا يَرَهُۥwamanومنوَمَنAnd whoeveryaʿmalيعمليَعْمَلْdoesmith'qālaمثقالمِثْقَالَ(equal to the) weightdharratinذرةذَرَّةٍ(of) an atomsharranشراشَرًّاevil,yarahuيرهيَرَهُۥwill see it.And whoso doeth ill an atom's weight will see it then.and whoever does an atom’s weight of evil will see it.And whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it.And anyone who has done an atom's weight of evil, shall see it. |

| 2 | وَأَخْرَجَتِ الْأَرْضُ أَثْقَالَهَا |
| 3 | وَقَالَ الْإِنسَانُ مَا لَهَا |
| 4 | يَوْمَئِذٍ تُحَدِّثُ أَخْبَارَهَا |
| 5 | بِأَنَّ رَبَّكَ أَوْحَىٰ لَهَا |
| 6 | يَوْمَئِذٍ يَصْدُرُ النَّاسُ أَشْتَاتًا لِّيُرَوْا أَعْمَالَهُمْ |
| 7 | فَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًا يَرَهُ |
| 8 | وَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَرَهُ |

ﱿ ﲀ ﲁ ﲂ ﲃ ﲄ ﲅ ﲆ ﲇ ﲈ ﲉ ﲊ
ﲋ ﲌ ﲍ ﲎ ﲏ ﲐ ﲑ ﲒ ﲓ ﲔ
ﲕ ﲖ ﲗ ﲘ ﲙ ﲚ ﲛ ﲜ ﲝ ﲞ ﲟ ﲠ
إِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ الْأَرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَا ١ وَأَخْرَجَتِ الْأَرْضُ أَثْقَالَهَا ٢ وَقَالَ
الْإِنسَانُ مَا لَهَا ٣ يَوْمَئِذٍ تُحَدِّثُ أَخْبَارَهَا ٤ بِأَنَّ رَبَّكَ أَوْحَىٰ لَهَا
٥ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَصْدُرُ النَّاسُ أَشْتَاتًا لِّيُرَوْا أَعْمَالَهُمْ ٦ فَمَن يَعْمَلْ
مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًا يَرَهُ ٧ وَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَرَهُ ٨
إِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَا ١ وَأَخْرَجَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ أَثْقَالَهَا ٢ وَقَالَ
ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ مَا لَهَا ٣ يَوْمَئِذٖ تُحَدِّثُ أَخْبَارَهَا ٤ بِأَنَّ رَبَّكَ أَوْحَىٰ لَهَا
٥ يَوْمَئِذٖ يَصْدُرُ ٱلنَّاسُ أَشْتَاتٗا لِّيُرَوْاْ أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ ٦ فَمَن يَعْمَلْ
مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرٗا يَرَهُ ٧ وَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٖ شَرّٗا يَرَهُ ٨
ﱵ ﱶ ﱷ ﱸ ﱹ ﱺ ﱻ ﱼ ﱽ ﱾ
ﱿ ﲀ ﲁ ﲂ ﲃ ﲄ ﲅ ﲆ ﲇ ﲈ ﲉ ﲊ ﲋ
ﲌ ﲍ ﲎ ﲏ ﲐ ﲑ ﲒ ﲓ ﲔ
