Noah
1 إِنَّآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوۡمِهِۦٓ أَنۡ أَنذِرۡ قَوۡمَكَ مِن قَبۡلِ أَن يَأۡتِيَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٞinnāإناإِنَّآIndeed, Wearsalnāأرسلناأَرْسَلْنَا[We] sentnūḥanنوحانُوحًاNuhilāإلىإِلَىٰtoqawmihiقومهقَوْمِهِۦٓhis people,anأنأَنْthatandhirأنذرأَنذِرْ"Warnqawmakaقومكقَوْمَكَyour peopleminمنمِنfromqabliقبلقَبْلِbeforeanأنأَن[that]yatiyahumيأتيهميَأْتِيَهُمْcomes to themʿadhābunعذابعَذَابٌa punishmentalīmunأليمأَلِيمٌpainful."Lo! We sent Noah unto his people (saying): Warn thy people ere the painful doom come unto them.Indeed, We sent Noah to his people, “Warn your people before there comes to them a painful punishment.”Indeed, We sent Noah to his people, [saying], "Warn your people before there comes to them a painful punishment."We sent Noah to his People (with the Command): "Do thou warn thy People before there comes to them a grievous Penalty."
2 قَالَ يَٰقَوۡمِ إِنِّي لَكُمۡ نَذِيرٞ مُّبِينٌqālaقالقَالَHe said,yāqawmiيا قوميَٰقَوْمِ"O my people!innīإنيإِنِّىIndeed, I amlakumلكملَكُمْto younadhīrunنذيرنَذِيرٌa warnermubīnunمبينمُّبِينٌclear.He said: O my people! Lo! I am a plain warner unto youHe said: “O my people, indeed I am a clear warner to you,He said, "O my people, indeed I am to you a clear warner -He said: "O my People! I am to you a Warner, clear and open:
3 أَنِ ٱعۡبُدُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَٱتَّقُوهُ وَأَطِيعُونِaniأنأَنِThatuʿ'budūاعبدواٱعْبُدُواْWorshipl-lahaاللهٱللَّهَAllah,wa-ittaqūhuواتقوهوَٱتَّقُوهُand fear Himwa-aṭīʿūniوأطيعونوَأَطِيعُونِand obey me.(Bidding you): Serve Allah and keep your duty unto Him and obey me,that you worship Allah and fear Him, and obey me;To worship Allāh, fear Him and obey me."That ye should worship Allah, fear Him and obey me:
4 يَغۡفِرۡ لَكُم مِّن ذُنُوبِكُمۡ وَيُؤَخِّرۡكُمۡ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٖ مُّسَمًّىۚ إِنَّ أَجَلَ ٱللَّهِ إِذَا جَآءَ لَا يُؤَخَّرُۚ لَوۡ كُنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَyaghfirيغفريَغْفِرْHe will forgivelakumلكملَكُمfor youminمنمِّن[of]dhunūbikumذنوبكمذُنُوبِكُمْyour sinswayu-akhir'kumويؤخركموَيُؤَخِّرْكُمْand give you respiteilāإلىإِلَىٰٓforajalinأجلأَجَلٍa termmusammanمسمىمُّسَمًّىspecified.innaإنإِنَّIndeed,ajalaأجلأَجَلَ(the) term,l-lahiاللهٱللَّهِ(of) Allah,idhāإذاإِذَاwhenjāaجاءجَآءَit comeslāلالَاnotyu-akharuيؤخريُؤَخَّرُis delayed,lawلولَوْifkuntumكنتمكُنتُمْyoutaʿlamūnaتعلمونتَعْلَمُونَknow."That He may forgive you somewhat of your sins and respite you to an appointed term. Lo! the term of Allah, when it cometh, cannot be delayed, if ye but knew.He will forgive you some of your sins and grant you respite until an appointed term[1]. Indeed, when Allah’s appointed term comes, it cannot be delayed, if you only knew!”He [i.e., Allāh] will forgive you of your sins and delay you for a specified term. Indeed, the time [set by] Allāh, when it comes, will not be delayed, if you only knew.""So He may forgive you your sins and give you respite for a stated Term: for when the Term given by Allah is accomplished, it cannot be put forward: if ye only knew."
5 قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي دَعَوۡتُ قَوۡمِي لَيۡلٗا وَنَهَارٗاqālaقالقَالَHe said,rabbiربرَبِّ"My Lord!innīإنيإِنِّىIndeed, Idaʿawtuدعوتدَعَوْتُinvitedqawmīقوميقَوْمِىmy peoplelaylanليلالَيْلًاnightwanahāranونهاراوَنَهَارًاand day.He said: My Lord! Lo! I have called unto my people night and dayHe said, “My Lord, I have surely called my people night and day,He said, "My Lord, indeed I invited my people [to truth] night and day.He said: "O my Lord! I have called to my People night and day:
6 فَلَمۡ يَزِدۡهُمۡ دُعَآءِيٓ إِلَّا فِرَارٗاfalamفلمفَلَمْBut notyazid'humيزدهميَزِدْهُمْincreased themduʿāīدعائيدُعَآءِىٓmy invitationillāإلاإِلَّاexceptfirāranفرارافِرَارًا(in) flight.But all my calling doth but add to their repugnance;but my call only drove them further away.But my invitation increased them not except in flight [i.e., aversion]."But my call only increases (their) flight (from the Right).
7 وَإِنِّي كُلَّمَا دَعَوۡتُهُمۡ لِتَغۡفِرَ لَهُمۡ جَعَلُوٓاْ أَصَٰبِعَهُمۡ فِيٓ ءَاذَانِهِمۡ وَٱسۡتَغۡشَوۡاْ ثِيَابَهُمۡ وَأَصَرُّواْ وَٱسۡتَكۡبَرُواْ ٱسۡتِكۡبَارٗاwa-innīوإنيوَإِنِّىAnd indeed, Ikullamāكلماكُلَّمَاevery time,daʿawtuhumدعوتهمدَعَوْتُهُمْI invited themlitaghfiraلتغفرلِتَغْفِرَthat You may forgivelahumلهملَهُمْthem,jaʿalūجعلواجَعَلُوٓاْthey putaṣābiʿahumأصابعهمأَصَٰبِعَهُمْtheir fingersfīفيفِىٓinādhānihimآذانهمءَاذَانِهِمْtheir earswa-is'taghshawواستغشواوَٱسْتَغْشَوْاْand covered themselvesthiyābahumثيابهمثِيَابَهُمْ(with) their garmentswa-aṣarrūوأصرواوَأَصَرُّواْand persistedwa-is'takbarūواستكبرواوَٱسْتَكْبَرُواْand were arrogantis'tik'bāranاستكباراٱسْتِكْبَارًا(with) pride.And lo! whenever I call unto them that Thou mayst pardon them they thrust their fingers in their ears and cover themselves with their garments and persist (in their refusal) and magnify themselves in pride.Every time I call them so that You may forgive them, they thrust their fingers into their ears and cover their faces with their garments[2], and persist in obstinacy and grow extremely arrogant.And indeed, every time I invited them that You may forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, covered themselves with their garments,[1761] persisted, and were arrogant with [great] arrogance."And every time I have called to them, that Thou mightest forgive them, they have (only) thrust their fingers into their ears, covered themselves up with their garments, grown obstinate, and given themselves up to arrogance.
8 ثُمَّ إِنِّي دَعَوۡتُهُمۡ جِهَارٗاthummaثمثُمَّTheninnīإنيإِنِّىindeed, Idaʿawtuhumدعوتهمدَعَوْتُهُمْinvited themjihāranجهاراجِهَارًاpublicly.And lo! I have called unto them aloud,Then I called them openly,Then I invited them publicly."So I have called to them aloud;
9 ثُمَّ إِنِّيٓ أَعۡلَنتُ لَهُمۡ وَأَسۡرَرۡتُ لَهُمۡ إِسۡرَارٗاthummaثمثُمَّTheninnīإنيإِنِّىٓindeed, Iaʿlantuأعلنتأَعْلَنتُannouncedlahumلهملَهُمْto themwa-asrartuوأسررتوَأَسْرَرْتُand I confidedlahumلهملَهُمْto themis'rāranإسراراإِسْرَارًاsecretly,And lo! I have made public proclamation unto them, and I have appealed to them in private.then I addressed them in public and in private,Then I announced to them and [also] confided to them secretly"Further I have spoken to them in public and secretly in private,
10 فَقُلۡتُ ٱسۡتَغۡفِرُواْ رَبَّكُمۡ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ غَفَّارٗاfaqul'tuفقلتفَقُلْتُThen I said,is'taghfirūاستغفرواٱسْتَغْفِرُواْ"Ask forgivenessrabbakumربكمرَبَّكُمْ(from) your Lord.innahuإنهإِنَّهُۥIndeed, HekānaكانكَانَisghaffāranغفاراغَفَّارًاOft-Forgiving.And I have said: Seek pardon of your Lord. Lo! He was ever Forgiving.I said, ‘Seek forgiveness from your Lord. Indeed, He is Most Forgiving.And said, 'Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever a Perpetual Forgiver."Saying, 'Ask forgiveness from your Lord; for He is Oft-Forgiving;
11 يُرۡسِلِ ٱلسَّمَآءَ عَلَيۡكُم مِّدۡرَارٗاyur'siliيرسليُرْسِلِHe will send downl-samāaالسماءٱلسَّمَآءَ(rain from) the skyʿalaykumعليكمعَلَيْكُمupon youmid'rāranمدرارامِّدْرَارًا(in) abundance,He will let loose the sky for you in plenteous rain,He will shower you with abundant rain from the sky,He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [continuing] showers"'He will send rain to you in abundance;
12 وَيُمۡدِدۡكُم بِأَمۡوَٰلٖ وَبَنِينَ وَيَجۡعَل لَّكُمۡ جَنَّٰتٖ وَيَجۡعَل لَّكُمۡ أَنۡهَٰرٗاwayum'did'kumويمددكموَيُمْدِدْكُمAnd provide youbi-amwālinبأموالبِأَمْوَٰلٍwith wealthwabanīnaوبنينوَبَنِينَand children,wayajʿalويجعلوَيَجْعَلand makelakumلكملَّكُمْfor youjannātinجناتجَنَّٰتٍgardenswayajʿalويجعلوَيَجْعَلand makelakumلكملَّكُمْfor youanhāranأنهاراأَنْهَٰرًاrivers.And will help you with wealth and sons, and will assign unto you Gardens and will assign unto you rivers.and He will give you wealth and children, and bestow upon you gardens and rivers.And give you increase in wealth and children and provide for you gardens and provide for you rivers."'Give you increase in wealth and sons; and bestow on you gardens and bestow on you rivers (of flowing water).
13 مَّا لَكُمۡ لَا تَرۡجُونَ لِلَّهِ وَقَارٗاmāمامَّاWhatlakumلكملَكُمْ(is) for you,lāلالَاnottarjūnaترجونتَرْجُونَyou attributelillahiللهلِلَّهِto Allahwaqāranوقاراوَقَارًاgrandeur?What aileth you that ye hope not toward Allah for dignityWhat is the matter with you that you do not fear the Majesty of Allah[3],What is [the matter] with you that you do not attribute to Allāh [due] grandeur"'What is the matter with you, that ye place not your hope for kindness and long-suffering in Allah,-
14 وَقَدۡ خَلَقَكُمۡ أَطۡوَارًاwaqadوقدوَقَدْAnd indeed,khalaqakumخلقكمخَلَقَكُمْHe created youaṭwāranأطواراأَطْوَارًا(in) stages.When He created you by (divers) stages?when He has created you in stages[4]?While He has created you in stages?[1762]"'Seeing that it is He that has created you in diverse stages?
15 أَلَمۡ تَرَوۡاْ كَيۡفَ خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ سَبۡعَ سَمَٰوَٰتٖ طِبَاقٗاalamألمأَلَمْDo nottarawترواتَرَوْاْyou seekayfaكيفكَيْفَhowkhalaqaخلقخَلَقَdid createl-lahuاللهٱللَّهُAllahsabʿaسبعسَبْعَ(the) sevensamāwātinسماواتسَمَٰوَٰتٍheavensṭibāqanطباقاطِبَاقًا(in) layers,See ye not how Allah hath created seven heavens in harmony,Do you not see how Allah has created seven heavens, one above another,Do you not consider how Allāh has created seven heavens in layers[1763]"'See ye not how Allah has created the seven heavens one above another,
16 وَجَعَلَ ٱلۡقَمَرَ فِيهِنَّ نُورٗا وَجَعَلَ ٱلشَّمۡسَ سِرَاجٗاwajaʿalaوجعلوَجَعَلَAnd madel-qamaraالقمرٱلْقَمَرَthe moonfīhinnaفيهنفِيهِنَّthereinnūranنورانُورًاa lightwajaʿalaوجعلوَجَعَلَand madel-shamsaالشمسٱلشَّمْسَthe sunsirājanسراجاسِرَاجًاa lamp?And hath made the moon a light therein, and made the sun a lamp?and has placed the moon therein as a light and the sun as a burning lamp?And made the moon therein a [reflected] light and made the sun a burning lamp?"'And made the moon a light in their midst, and made the sun as a (Glorious) Lamp?
17 وَٱللَّهُ أَنۢبَتَكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ نَبَاتٗاwal-lahuواللهوَٱللَّهُAnd Allahanbatakumأنبتكمأَنۢبَتَكُمhas caused you to growminaمنمِّنَfroml-arḍiالأرضٱلْأَرْضِthe earthnabātanنباتانَبَاتًا(as) a growth.And Allah hath caused you to grow as a growth from the earth,Allah has produced you from the earth like a plant[5],And Allāh has caused you to grow from the earth a [progressive] growth."'And Allah has produced you from the earth growing (gradually),
18 ثُمَّ يُعِيدُكُمۡ فِيهَا وَيُخۡرِجُكُمۡ إِخۡرَاجٗاthummaثمثُمَّThenyuʿīdukumيعيدكميُعِيدُكُمْHe will return youfīhāفيهافِيهَاinto itwayukh'rijukumويخرجكموَيُخْرِجُكُمْand bring you forth,ikh'rājanإخراجاإِخْرَاجًا(a new) bringing forth.And afterward He maketh you return thereto, and He will bring you forth again, a (new) forthbringing.then He will return you into it and then will bring you out again.Then He will return you into it and extract you [another] extraction."'And in the End He will return you into the (earth), and raise you forth (again at the Resurrection)?
19 وَٱللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ بِسَاطٗاwal-lahuواللهوَٱللَّهُAnd Allahjaʿalaجعلجَعَلَmadelakumuلكملَكُمُfor youl-arḍaالأرضٱلْأَرْضَthe earthbisāṭanبساطابِسَاطًاan expanse,And Allah hath made the earth a wide expanse for youAllah has made the earth widespread for youAnd Allāh has made for you the earth an expanse"'And Allah has made the earth for you as a carpet (spread out),
20 لِّتَسۡلُكُواْ مِنۡهَا سُبُلٗا فِجَاجٗاlitaslukūلتسلكوالِّتَسْلُكُواْThat you may go alongmin'hāمنهامِنْهَاthereinsubulanسبلاسُبُلًا(in) pathsfijājanفجاجافِجَاجًاwide."That ye may thread the valley-ways thereof.so that you may tread its spacious paths[6].’”That you may follow therein roads of passage.'""'That ye may go about therein, in spacious roads.'"
21 قَالَ نُوحٞ رَّبِّ إِنَّهُمۡ عَصَوۡنِي وَٱتَّبَعُواْ مَن لَّمۡ يَزِدۡهُ مَالُهُۥ وَوَلَدُهُۥٓ إِلَّا خَسَارٗاqālaقالقَالَSaidnūḥunنوحنُوحٌNuh,rabbiربرَّبِّ"My Lord!innahumإنهمإِنَّهُمْIndeed, theyʿaṣawnīعصونيعَصَوْنِىdisobeyed mewa-ittabaʿūواتبعواوَٱتَّبَعُواْand followedmanمنمَن(the one) who,lamلملَّمْ(did) notyazid'huيزدهيَزِدْهُincrease himmāluhuمالهمَالُهُۥhis wealth,wawaladuhuوولدهوَوَلَدُهُۥٓand his childrenillāإلاإِلَّاexceptkhasāranخساراخَسَارًا(in) loss.Noah said: My Lord! Lo! they have disobeyed me and followed one whose wealth and children increase him in naught save ruin;Noah said, “My Lord, they have disobeyed me and followed those whose wealth and children did not increase them except in loss[7].Noah said, "My Lord, indeed they have disobeyed me and followed him whose wealth and children will not increase him except in loss.Noah said: "O my Lord! They have disobeyed me, but they follow (men) whose wealth and children give them no increase but only Loss.
22 وَمَكَرُواْ مَكۡرٗا كُبَّارٗاwamakarūومكرواوَمَكَرُواْAnd they have planned,makranمكرامَكْرًاa plankubbāranكباراكُبَّارًاgreat.And they have plotted a mighty plot,They have contrived a mighty plot,And they conspired an immense conspiracy"And they have devised a tremendous Plot.
23 وَقَالُواْ لَا تَذَرُنَّ ءَالِهَتَكُمۡ وَلَا تَذَرُنَّ وَدّٗا وَلَا سُوَاعٗا وَلَا يَغُوثَ وَيَعُوقَ وَنَسۡرٗاwaqālūوقالواوَقَالُواْAnd they said,lāلالَا"(Do) nottadharunnaتذرنتَذَرُنَّleaveālihatakumآلهتكمءَالِهَتَكُمْyour gods,walāولاوَلَاand (do) nottadharunnaتذرنتَذَرُنَّleavewaddanوداوَدًّاWaddwalāولاوَلَاand notsuwāʿanسواعاسُوَاعًاSuwawalāولاوَلَاand notyaghūthaيغوثيَغُوثَYaguthwayaʿūqaويعوقوَيَعُوقَand Yauqwanasranونسراوَنَسْرًاand Nasr."And they have said: Forsake not your gods. Forsake not Wadd, nor Suwa', nor Yaghuth and Ya'uq and Nasr.They said, ‘Do not abandon your gods; and do not abandon Wadd, Suwā‘, Yaghūth, Ya‘ūq, and Nasr[8].’And said, 'Never leave your gods and never leave Wadd or Suwāʿ or Yaghūth and Yaʿūq and Nasr.'[1764]"And they have said (to each other), 'Abandon not your gods: Abandon neither Wadd nor Suwa', neither Yaguth nor Ya'uq, nor Nasr';-
24 وَقَدۡ أَضَلُّواْ كَثِيرٗاۖ وَلَا تَزِدِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ إِلَّا ضَلَٰلٗاwaqadوقدوَقَدْAnd indeed,aḍallūأضلواأَضَلُّواْthey have led astraykathīranكثيراكَثِيرًاmany.walāولاوَلَاAnd nottazidiتزدتَزِدِincreasel-ẓālimīnaالظالمينٱلظَّٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoersillāإلاإِلَّاexceptḍalālanضلالاضَلَٰلًا(in) error."And they have led many astray, and Thou increasest the wrong-doers in naught save error.They have led many astray. So [O Lord], do not increase the wrongdoers except in error.”And already they have misled many. And, [my Lord], do not increase the wrongdoers except in error.""They have already misled many; and grant Thou no increase to the wrong-doers but in straying (from their mark)."
25 مِّمَّا خَطِيٓـَٰٔتِهِمۡ أُغۡرِقُواْ فَأُدۡخِلُواْ نَارٗا فَلَمۡ يَجِدُواْ لَهُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَنصَارٗاmimmāممامِّمَّاBecause ofkhaṭīātihimخطيئاتهمخَطِيٓـَٰٔتِهِمْtheir sinsugh'riqūأغرقواأُغْرِقُواْthey were drowned,fa-ud'khilūفأدخلوافَأُدْخِلُواْthen made to enternāranنارانَارًا(the) Fire,falamفلمفَلَمْand notyajidūيجدوايَجِدُواْthey foundlahumلهملَهُمfor themselvesminمنمِّنfromdūniدوندُونِbesidesl-lahiاللهٱللَّهِAllahanṣāranأنصاراأَنصَارًاany helpers.Because of their sins they were drowned, then made to enter a Fire. And they found they had no helpers in place of Allah.Because of their sins, they were drowned and then were cast into the Fire, and they did not find any helpers against Allah.Because of their sins they were drowned and put into the Fire, and they found not for themselves besides Allāh [any] helpers.Because of their sins they were drowned (in the flood), and were made to enter the Fire (of Punishment): and they found- in lieu of Allah- none to help them.
26 وَقَالَ نُوحٞ رَّبِّ لَا تَذَرۡ عَلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مِنَ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ دَيَّارًاwaqālaوقالوَقَالَAnd saidnūḥunنوحنُوحٌNuh,rabbiربرَّبِّ"My Lord!lāلالَا(Do) nottadharتذرتَذَرْleaveʿalāعلىعَلَىonl-arḍiالأرضٱلْأَرْضِthe earthminaمنمِنَanyl-kāfirīnaالكافرينٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ(of) the disbelieversdayyāranديارادَيَّارًا(as) an inhabitant.And Noah said: My Lord! Leave not one of the disbelievers in the land.Noah said, “My Lord, do not leave on earth a single disbeliever.And Noah said, "My Lord, do not leave upon the earth from among the disbelievers an inhabitant.And Noah, said: "O my Lord! Leave not of the Unbelievers, a single one on earth!
27 إِنَّكَ إِن تَذَرۡهُمۡ يُضِلُّواْ عِبَادَكَ وَلَا يَلِدُوٓاْ إِلَّا فَاجِرٗا كَفَّارٗاinnakaإنكإِنَّكَIndeed, You,inإنإِنiftadharhumتذرهمتَذَرْهُمْYou leave themyuḍillūيضلوايُضِلُّواْthey will misleadʿibādakaعبادكعِبَادَكَYour slaveswalāولاوَلَاand notyalidūيلدوايَلِدُوٓاْthey will begetillāإلاإِلَّاexceptfājiranفاجرافَاجِرًاa wicked,kaffāranكفاراكَفَّارًاa disbeliever.If Thou shouldst leave them, they will mislead Thy slaves and will beget none save lewd ingrates.For if You leave them, they will surely lead Your slaves astray and beget none but wicked disbelievers.Indeed, if You leave them, they will mislead Your servants and not beget except [every] wicked one and [confirmed] disbeliever."For, if Thou dost leave (any of) them, they will but mislead Thy devotees, and they will breed none but wicked ungrateful ones.
28 رَّبِّ ٱغۡفِرۡ لِي وَلِوَٰلِدَيَّ وَلِمَن دَخَلَ بَيۡتِيَ مُؤۡمِنٗا وَلِلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَٰتِۖ وَلَا تَزِدِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ إِلَّا تَبَارَۢاrabbiربرَّبِّMy Lord!igh'firاغفرٱغْفِرْForgivelīليلِىmewaliwālidayyaولوالديوَلِوَٰلِدَىَّand my parents,walimanولمنوَلِمَنand whoeverdakhalaدخلدَخَلَentersbaytiyaبيتيبَيْتِىَmy house -mu'minanمؤمنامُؤْمِنًاa believerwalil'mu'minīnaوللمؤمنينوَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَand the believing menwal-mu'minātiوالمؤمناتوَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِand the believing women.walāولاوَلَاAnd (do) nottazidiتزدتَزِدِincreasel-ẓālimīnaالظالمينٱلظَّٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoersillāإلاإِلَّاexcepttabāranتباراتَبَارًۢا(in) destruction."My Lord! Forgive me and my parents and him who entereth my house believing, and believing men and believing women, and increase not the wrong-doers in aught save ruin.My Lord, forgive me and my parents, and whoever enters my house as a believer, and all the believing men and women, and do not increase the wrongdoers except in ruin.”My Lord, forgive me and my parents and whoever enters my house a believer and the believing men and believing women. And do not increase the wrongdoers except in destruction.""O my Lord! Forgive me, my parents, all who enter my house in Faith, and (all) believing men and believing women: and to the wrong-doers grant Thou no increase but in perdition!"
1 إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِ أَنْ أَنذِرْ قَوْمَكَ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِيَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
2 قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ إِنِّي لَكُمْ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ
3 أَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ وَاتَّقُوهُ وَأَطِيعُونِ
4 يَغْفِرْ لَكُم مِّن ذُنُوبِكُمْ وَيُؤَخِّرْكُمْ إِلَىٰ أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى إِنَّ أَجَلَ اللَّهِ إِذَا جَاءَ لَا يُؤَخَّرُ لَوْ كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
5 قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي دَعَوْتُ قَوْمِي لَيْلًا وَنَهَارًا
6 فَلَمْ يَزِدْهُمْ دُعَائِي إِلَّا فِرَارًا
7 وَإِنِّي كُلَّمَا دَعَوْتُهُمْ لِتَغْفِرَ لَهُمْ جَعَلُوا أَصَابِعَهُمْ فِي آذَانِهِمْ وَاسْتَغْشَوْا ثِيَابَهُمْ وَأَصَرُّوا وَاسْتَكْبَرُوا اسْتِكْبَارًا
8 ثُمَّ إِنِّي دَعَوْتُهُمْ جِهَارًا
9 ثُمَّ إِنِّي أَعْلَنتُ لَهُمْ وَأَسْرَرْتُ لَهُمْ إِسْرَارًا
10 فَقُلْتُ اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّهُ كَانَ غَفَّارًا
11 يُرْسِلِ السَّمَاءَ عَلَيْكُم مِّدْرَارًا
12 وَيُمْدِدْكُم بِأَمْوَالٍ وَبَنِينَ وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ جَنَّاتٍ وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ أَنْهَارًا
13 مَّا لَكُمْ لَا تَرْجُونَ لِلَّهِ وَقَارًا
14 وَقَدْ خَلَقَكُمْ أَطْوَارًا
15 أَلَمْ تَرَوْا كَيْفَ خَلَقَ اللَّهُ سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ طِبَاقًا
16 وَجَعَلَ الْقَمَرَ فِيهِنَّ نُورًا وَجَعَلَ الشَّمْسَ سِرَاجًا
17 وَاللَّهُ أَنبَتَكُم مِّنَ الْأَرْضِ نَبَاتًا
18 ثُمَّ يُعِيدُكُمْ فِيهَا وَيُخْرِجُكُمْ إِخْرَاجًا
19 وَاللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَرْضَ بِسَاطًا
20 لِّتَسْلُكُوا مِنْهَا سُبُلًا فِجَاجًا
21 قَالَ نُوحٌ رَّبِّ إِنَّهُمْ عَصَوْنِي وَاتَّبَعُوا مَن لَّمْ يَزِدْهُ مَالُهُ وَوَلَدُهُ إِلَّا خَسَارًا
22 وَمَكَرُوا مَكْرًا كُبَّارًا
23 وَقَالُوا لَا تَذَرُنَّ آلِهَتَكُمْ وَلَا تَذَرُنَّ وَدًّا وَلَا سُوَاعًا وَلَا يَغُوثَ وَيَعُوقَ وَنَسْرًا
24 وَقَدْ أَضَلُّوا كَثِيرًا وَلَا تَزِدِ الظَّالِمِينَ إِلَّا ضَلَالًا
25 مِّمَّا خَطِيئَاتِهِمْ أُغْرِقُوا فَأُدْخِلُوا نَارًا فَلَمْ يَجِدُوا لَهُم مِّن دُونِ اللَّهِ أَنصَارًا
26 وَقَالَ نُوحٌ رَّبِّ لَا تَذَرْ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ مِنَ الْكَافِرِينَ دَيَّارًا
27 إِنَّكَ إِن تَذَرْهُمْ يُضِلُّوا عِبَادَكَ وَلَا يَلِدُوا إِلَّا فَاجِرًا كَفَّارًا
28 رَّبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِمَن دَخَلَ بَيْتِيَ مُؤْمِنًا وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ وَلَا تَزِدِ الظَّالِمِينَ إِلَّا تَبَارًا
1 إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦٓ أَنْ أَنذِرْ قَوْمَكَ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِيَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمَinnāإناإِنَّآIndeed, Wearsalnāأرسلناأَرْسَلْنَا[We] sentnūḥanنوحانُوحًاNuhilāإلىإِلَىٰtoqawmihiقومهقَوْمِهِۦٓhis people,anأنأَنْthatandhirأنذرأَنذِرْ"Warnqawmakaقومكقَوْمَكَyour peopleminمنمِنfromqabliقبلقَبْلِbeforeanأنأَن[that]yatiyahumيأتيهميَأْتِيَهُمْcomes to themʿadhābunعذابعَذَابٌa punishmentalīmunأليمأَلِيمٌpainful."Lo! We sent Noah unto his people (saying): Warn thy people ere the painful doom come unto them.Indeed, We sent Noah to his people, “Warn your people before there comes to them a painful punishment.”Indeed, We sent Noah to his people, [saying], "Warn your people before there comes to them a painful punishment."We sent Noah to his People (with the Command): "Do thou warn thy People before there comes to them a grievous Penalty."
2 قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ إِنِّي لَكُمْ نَذِيرَ مُّبِينٌqālaقالقَالَHe said,yāqawmiيا قوميَٰقَوْمِ"O my people!innīإنيإِنِّىIndeed, I amlakumلكملَكُمْto younadhīrunنذيرنَذِيرٌa warnermubīnunمبينمُّبِينٌclear.He said: O my people! Lo! I am a plain warner unto youHe said: “O my people, indeed I am a clear warner to you,He said, "O my people, indeed I am to you a clear warner -He said: "O my People! I am to you a Warner, clear and open:
3 أَنِ ٱعْبُدُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَٱتَّقُوهُ وَأَطِيعُونِaniأنأَنِThatuʿ'budūاعبدواٱعْبُدُواْWorshipl-lahaاللهٱللَّهَAllah,wa-ittaqūhuواتقوهوَٱتَّقُوهُand fear Himwa-aṭīʿūniوأطيعونوَأَطِيعُونِand obey me.(Bidding you): Serve Allah and keep your duty unto Him and obey me,that you worship Allah and fear Him, and obey me;To worship Allāh, fear Him and obey me."That ye should worship Allah, fear Him and obey me:
4 يَغْفِرْ لَكُم مِّن ذُنُوبِكُمْ وَيُؤَخِّرْكُمْ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٖ مُّسَمًّىۚ إِنَّ أَجَلَ ٱللَّهِ إِذَا جَآءَ لَا يُؤَخَّرُۚ لَوْ كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَyaghfirيغفريَغْفِرْHe will forgivelakumلكملَكُمfor youminمنمِّن[of]dhunūbikumذنوبكمذُنُوبِكُمْyour sinswayu-akhir'kumويؤخركموَيُؤَخِّرْكُمْand give you respiteilāإلىإِلَىٰٓforajalinأجلأَجَلٍa termmusammanمسمىمُّسَمًّىspecified.innaإنإِنَّIndeed,ajalaأجلأَجَلَ(the) term,l-lahiاللهٱللَّهِ(of) Allah,idhāإذاإِذَاwhenjāaجاءجَآءَit comeslāلالَاnotyu-akharuيؤخريُؤَخَّرُis delayed,lawلولَوْifkuntumكنتمكُنتُمْyoutaʿlamūnaتعلمونتَعْلَمُونَknow."That He may forgive you somewhat of your sins and respite you to an appointed term. Lo! the term of Allah, when it cometh, cannot be delayed, if ye but knew.He will forgive you some of your sins and grant you respite until an appointed term[1]. Indeed, when Allah’s appointed term comes, it cannot be delayed, if you only knew!”He [i.e., Allāh] will forgive you of your sins and delay you for a specified term. Indeed, the time [set by] Allāh, when it comes, will not be delayed, if you only knew.""So He may forgive you your sins and give you respite for a stated Term: for when the Term given by Allah is accomplished, it cannot be put forward: if ye only knew."
5 قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي دَعَوْتُ قَوْمِي لَيْلٗا وَنَهَارٗاqālaقالقَالَHe said,rabbiربرَبِّ"My Lord!innīإنيإِنِّىIndeed, Idaʿawtuدعوتدَعَوْتُinvitedqawmīقوميقَوْمِىmy peoplelaylanليلالَيْلًاnightwanahāranونهاراوَنَهَارًاand day.He said: My Lord! Lo! I have called unto my people night and dayHe said, “My Lord, I have surely called my people night and day,He said, "My Lord, indeed I invited my people [to truth] night and day.He said: "O my Lord! I have called to my People night and day:
6 فَلَمْ يَزِدْهُمْ دُعَآءِيٓ إِلَّا فِرَارٗاfalamفلمفَلَمْBut notyazid'humيزدهميَزِدْهُمْincreased themduʿāīدعائيدُعَآءِىٓmy invitationillāإلاإِلَّاexceptfirāranفرارافِرَارًا(in) flight.But all my calling doth but add to their repugnance;but my call only drove them further away.But my invitation increased them not except in flight [i.e., aversion]."But my call only increases (their) flight (from the Right).
7 وَإِنِّي كُلَّمَا دَعَوْتُهُمْ لِتَغْفِرَ لَهُمْ جَعَلُوٓاْ أَصَٰبِعَهُمْ فِيٓ ءَاذَانِهِمْ وَٱسْتَغْشَوْاْ ثِيَابَهُمْ وَأَصَرُّواْ وَٱسْتَكْبَرُواْ ٱسْتِكْبَارٗاwa-innīوإنيوَإِنِّىAnd indeed, Ikullamāكلماكُلَّمَاevery time,daʿawtuhumدعوتهمدَعَوْتُهُمْI invited themlitaghfiraلتغفرلِتَغْفِرَthat You may forgivelahumلهملَهُمْthem,jaʿalūجعلواجَعَلُوٓاْthey putaṣābiʿahumأصابعهمأَصَٰبِعَهُمْtheir fingersfīفيفِىٓinādhānihimآذانهمءَاذَانِهِمْtheir earswa-is'taghshawواستغشواوَٱسْتَغْشَوْاْand covered themselvesthiyābahumثيابهمثِيَابَهُمْ(with) their garmentswa-aṣarrūوأصرواوَأَصَرُّواْand persistedwa-is'takbarūواستكبرواوَٱسْتَكْبَرُواْand were arrogantis'tik'bāranاستكباراٱسْتِكْبَارًا(with) pride.And lo! whenever I call unto them that Thou mayst pardon them they thrust their fingers in their ears and cover themselves with their garments and persist (in their refusal) and magnify themselves in pride.Every time I call them so that You may forgive them, they thrust their fingers into their ears and cover their faces with their garments[2], and persist in obstinacy and grow extremely arrogant.And indeed, every time I invited them that You may forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, covered themselves with their garments,[1761] persisted, and were arrogant with [great] arrogance."And every time I have called to them, that Thou mightest forgive them, they have (only) thrust their fingers into their ears, covered themselves up with their garments, grown obstinate, and given themselves up to arrogance.
8 ثُمَّ إِنِّي دَعَوْتُهُمْ جِهَارٗاthummaثمثُمَّTheninnīإنيإِنِّىindeed, Idaʿawtuhumدعوتهمدَعَوْتُهُمْinvited themjihāranجهاراجِهَارًاpublicly.And lo! I have called unto them aloud,Then I called them openly,Then I invited them publicly."So I have called to them aloud;
9 ثُمَّ إِنِّيٓ أَعْلَنتُ لَهُمْ وَأَسْرَرْتُ لَهُمْ إِسْرَارٗاthummaثمثُمَّTheninnīإنيإِنِّىٓindeed, Iaʿlantuأعلنتأَعْلَنتُannouncedlahumلهملَهُمْto themwa-asrartuوأسررتوَأَسْرَرْتُand I confidedlahumلهملَهُمْto themis'rāranإسراراإِسْرَارًاsecretly,And lo! I have made public proclamation unto them, and I have appealed to them in private.then I addressed them in public and in private,Then I announced to them and [also] confided to them secretly"Further I have spoken to them in public and secretly in private,
10 فَقُلْتُ ٱسْتَغْفِرُواْ رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّهُ كَانَ غَفَّارٗاfaqul'tuفقلتفَقُلْتُThen I said,is'taghfirūاستغفرواٱسْتَغْفِرُواْ"Ask forgivenessrabbakumربكمرَبَّكُمْ(from) your Lord.innahuإنهإِنَّهُIndeed, HekānaكانكَانَisghaffāranغفاراغَفَّارًاOft-Forgiving.And I have said: Seek pardon of your Lord. Lo! He was ever Forgiving.I said, ‘Seek forgiveness from your Lord. Indeed, He is Most Forgiving.And said, 'Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever a Perpetual Forgiver."Saying, 'Ask forgiveness from your Lord; for He is Oft-Forgiving;
11 يُرْسِلِ ٱلسَّمَآءَ عَلَيْكُم مِّدْرَارٗاyur'siliيرسليُرْسِلِHe will send downl-samāaالسماءٱلسَّمَآءَ(rain from) the skyʿalaykumعليكمعَلَيْكُمupon youmid'rāranمدرارامِّدْرَارًا(in) abundance,He will let loose the sky for you in plenteous rain,He will shower you with abundant rain from the sky,He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [continuing] showers"'He will send rain to you in abundance;
12 وَيُمْدِدْكُم بِأَمْوَٰلٖ وَبَنِينَ وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ جَنَّٰتٖ وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ أَنْهَٰرٗاwayum'did'kumويمددكموَيُمْدِدْكُمAnd provide youbi-amwālinبأموالبِأَمْوَٰلٍwith wealthwabanīnaوبنينوَبَنِينَand children,wayajʿalويجعلوَيَجْعَلand makelakumلكملَّكُمْfor youjannātinجناتجَنَّٰتٍgardenswayajʿalويجعلوَيَجْعَلand makelakumلكملَّكُمْfor youanhāranأنهاراأَنْهَٰرًاrivers.And will help you with wealth and sons, and will assign unto you Gardens and will assign unto you rivers.and He will give you wealth and children, and bestow upon you gardens and rivers.And give you increase in wealth and children and provide for you gardens and provide for you rivers."'Give you increase in wealth and sons; and bestow on you gardens and bestow on you rivers (of flowing water).
13 مَّا لَكُمْ لَا تَرْجُونَ لِلَّهِ وَقَارٗاmāمامَّاWhatlakumلكملَكُمْ(is) for you,lāلالَاnottarjūnaترجونتَرْجُونَyou attributelillahiللهلِلَّهِto Allahwaqāranوقاراوَقَارًاgrandeur?What aileth you that ye hope not toward Allah for dignityWhat is the matter with you that you do not fear the Majesty of Allah[3],What is [the matter] with you that you do not attribute to Allāh [due] grandeur"'What is the matter with you, that ye place not your hope for kindness and long-suffering in Allah,-
14 وَقَدْ خَلَقَكُمْ أَطْوَارًاwaqadوقدوَقَدْAnd indeed,khalaqakumخلقكمخَلَقَكُمْHe created youaṭwāranأطواراأَطْوَارًا(in) stages.When He created you by (divers) stages?when He has created you in stages[4]?While He has created you in stages?[1762]"'Seeing that it is He that has created you in diverse stages?
15 أَلَمْ تَرَوْاْ كَيْفَ خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ سَبْعَ سَمَٰوَٰتٖ طِبَاقٗاalamألمأَلَمْDo nottarawترواتَرَوْاْyou seekayfaكيفكَيْفَhowkhalaqaخلقخَلَقَdid createl-lahuاللهٱللَّهُAllahsabʿaسبعسَبْعَ(the) sevensamāwātinسماواتسَمَٰوَٰتٍheavensṭibāqanطباقاطِبَاقًا(in) layers,See ye not how Allah hath created seven heavens in harmony,Do you not see how Allah has created seven heavens, one above another,Do you not consider how Allāh has created seven heavens in layers[1763]"'See ye not how Allah has created the seven heavens one above another,
16 وَجَعَلَ ٱلْقَمَرَ فِيهِنَّ نُورٗا وَجَعَلَ ٱلشَّمْسَ سِرَاجٗاwajaʿalaوجعلوَجَعَلَAnd madel-qamaraالقمرٱلْقَمَرَthe moonfīhinnaفيهنفِيهِنَّthereinnūranنورانُورًاa lightwajaʿalaوجعلوَجَعَلَand madel-shamsaالشمسٱلشَّمْسَthe sunsirājanسراجاسِرَاجًاa lamp?And hath made the moon a light therein, and made the sun a lamp?and has placed the moon therein as a light and the sun as a burning lamp?And made the moon therein a [reflected] light and made the sun a burning lamp?"'And made the moon a light in their midst, and made the sun as a (Glorious) Lamp?
17 وَٱللَّهُ أَنۢبَتَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ نَبَاتٗاwal-lahuواللهوَٱللَّهُAnd Allahanbatakumأنبتكمأَنۢبَتَكُمhas caused you to growminaمنمِّنَfroml-arḍiالأرضٱلْأَرْضِthe earthnabātanنباتانَبَاتًا(as) a growth.And Allah hath caused you to grow as a growth from the earth,Allah has produced you from the earth like a plant[5],And Allāh has caused you to grow from the earth a [progressive] growth."'And Allah has produced you from the earth growing (gradually),
18 ثُمَّ يُعِيدُكُمْ فِيهَا وَيُخْرِجُكُمْ إِخْرَاجٗاthummaثمثُمَّThenyuʿīdukumيعيدكميُعِيدُكُمْHe will return youfīhāفيهافِيهَاinto itwayukh'rijukumويخرجكموَيُخْرِجُكُمْand bring you forth,ikh'rājanإخراجاإِخْرَاجًا(a new) bringing forth.And afterward He maketh you return thereto, and He will bring you forth again, a (new) forthbringing.then He will return you into it and then will bring you out again.Then He will return you into it and extract you [another] extraction."'And in the End He will return you into the (earth), and raise you forth (again at the Resurrection)?
19 وَٱللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلْأَرْضَ بِسَاطٗاwal-lahuواللهوَٱللَّهُAnd Allahjaʿalaجعلجَعَلَmadelakumuلكملَكُمُfor youl-arḍaالأرضٱلْأَرْضَthe earthbisāṭanبساطابِسَاطًاan expanse,And Allah hath made the earth a wide expanse for youAllah has made the earth widespread for youAnd Allāh has made for you the earth an expanse"'And Allah has made the earth for you as a carpet (spread out),
20 لِّتَسْلُكُواْ مِنْهَا سُبُلٗا فِجَاجٗاlitaslukūلتسلكوالِّتَسْلُكُواْThat you may go alongmin'hāمنهامِنْهَاthereinsubulanسبلاسُبُلًا(in) pathsfijājanفجاجافِجَاجًاwide."That ye may thread the valley-ways thereof.so that you may tread its spacious paths[6].’”That you may follow therein roads of passage.'""'That ye may go about therein, in spacious roads.'"
21 قَالَ نُوحَ رَّبِّ إِنَّهُمْ عَصَوْنِي وَٱتَّبَعُواْ مَن لَّمْ يَزِدْهُ مَالُهُ وَوَلَدُهُٓ إِلَّا خَسَارٗاqālaقالقَالَSaidnūḥunنوحنُوحٌNuh,rabbiربرَّبِّ"My Lord!innahumإنهمإِنَّهُمْIndeed, theyʿaṣawnīعصونيعَصَوْنِىdisobeyed mewa-ittabaʿūواتبعواوَٱتَّبَعُواْand followedmanمنمَن(the one) who,lamلملَّمْ(did) notyazid'huيزدهيَزِدْهُincrease himmāluhuمالهمَالُهُhis wealth,wawaladuhuوولدهوَوَلَدُهُٓand his childrenillāإلاإِلَّاexceptkhasāranخساراخَسَارًا(in) loss.Noah said: My Lord! Lo! they have disobeyed me and followed one whose wealth and children increase him in naught save ruin;Noah said, “My Lord, they have disobeyed me and followed those whose wealth and children did not increase them except in loss[7].Noah said, "My Lord, indeed they have disobeyed me and followed him whose wealth and children will not increase him except in loss.Noah said: "O my Lord! They have disobeyed me, but they follow (men) whose wealth and children give them no increase but only Loss.
22 وَمَكَرُواْ مَكْرٗا كُبَّارٗاwamakarūومكرواوَمَكَرُواْAnd they have planned,makranمكرامَكْرًاa plankubbāranكباراكُبَّارًاgreat.And they have plotted a mighty plot,They have contrived a mighty plot,And they conspired an immense conspiracy"And they have devised a tremendous Plot.
23 وَقَالُواْ لَا تَذَرُنَّ ءَالِهَتَكُمْ وَلَا تَذَرُنَّ وَدّٗا وَلَا سُوَاعٗا وَلَا يَغُوثَ وَيَعُوقَ وَنَسْرٗاwaqālūوقالواوَقَالُواْAnd they said,lāلالَا"(Do) nottadharunnaتذرنتَذَرُنَّleaveālihatakumآلهتكمءَالِهَتَكُمْyour gods,walāولاوَلَاand (do) nottadharunnaتذرنتَذَرُنَّleavewaddanوداوَدًّاWaddwalāولاوَلَاand notsuwāʿanسواعاسُوَاعًاSuwawalāولاوَلَاand notyaghūthaيغوثيَغُوثَYaguthwayaʿūqaويعوقوَيَعُوقَand Yauqwanasranونسراوَنَسْرًاand Nasr."And they have said: Forsake not your gods. Forsake not Wadd, nor Suwa', nor Yaghuth and Ya'uq and Nasr.They said, ‘Do not abandon your gods; and do not abandon Wadd, Suwā‘, Yaghūth, Ya‘ūq, and Nasr[8].’And said, 'Never leave your gods and never leave Wadd or Suwāʿ or Yaghūth and Yaʿūq and Nasr.'[1764]"And they have said (to each other), 'Abandon not your gods: Abandon neither Wadd nor Suwa', neither Yaguth nor Ya'uq, nor Nasr';-
24 وَقَدْ أَضَلُّواْ كَثِيرٗاۖ وَلَا تَزِدِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ إِلَّا ضَلَٰلٗاwaqadوقدوَقَدْAnd indeed,aḍallūأضلواأَضَلُّواْthey have led astraykathīranكثيراكَثِيرًاmany.walāولاوَلَاAnd nottazidiتزدتَزِدِincreasel-ẓālimīnaالظالمينٱلظَّٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoersillāإلاإِلَّاexceptḍalālanضلالاضَلَٰلًا(in) error."And they have led many astray, and Thou increasest the wrong-doers in naught save error.They have led many astray. So [O Lord], do not increase the wrongdoers except in error.”And already they have misled many. And, [my Lord], do not increase the wrongdoers except in error.""They have already misled many; and grant Thou no increase to the wrong-doers but in straying (from their mark)."
25 مِّمَّا خَطِيٓـَٰٔتِهِمْ أُغْرِقُواْ فَأُدْخِلُواْ نَارٗا فَلَمْ يَجِدُواْ لَهُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَنصَارٗاmimmāممامِّمَّاBecause ofkhaṭīātihimخطيئاتهمخَطِيٓـَٰٔتِهِمْtheir sinsugh'riqūأغرقواأُغْرِقُواْthey were drowned,fa-ud'khilūفأدخلوافَأُدْخِلُواْthen made to enternāranنارانَارًا(the) Fire,falamفلمفَلَمْand notyajidūيجدوايَجِدُواْthey foundlahumلهملَهُمfor themselvesminمنمِّنfromdūniدوندُونِbesidesl-lahiاللهٱللَّهِAllahanṣāranأنصاراأَنصَارًاany helpers.Because of their sins they were drowned, then made to enter a Fire. And they found they had no helpers in place of Allah.Because of their sins, they were drowned and then were cast into the Fire, and they did not find any helpers against Allah.Because of their sins they were drowned and put into the Fire, and they found not for themselves besides Allāh [any] helpers.Because of their sins they were drowned (in the flood), and were made to enter the Fire (of Punishment): and they found- in lieu of Allah- none to help them.
26 وَقَالَ نُوحَ رَّبِّ لَا تَذَرْ عَلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ مِنَ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ دَيَّارًاwaqālaوقالوَقَالَAnd saidnūḥunنوحنُوحٌNuh,rabbiربرَّبِّ"My Lord!lāلالَا(Do) nottadharتذرتَذَرْleaveʿalāعلىعَلَىonl-arḍiالأرضٱلْأَرْضِthe earthminaمنمِنَanyl-kāfirīnaالكافرينٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ(of) the disbelieversdayyāranديارادَيَّارًا(as) an inhabitant.And Noah said: My Lord! Leave not one of the disbelievers in the land.Noah said, “My Lord, do not leave on earth a single disbeliever.And Noah said, "My Lord, do not leave upon the earth from among the disbelievers an inhabitant.And Noah, said: "O my Lord! Leave not of the Unbelievers, a single one on earth!
27 إِنَّكَ إِن تَذَرْهُمْ يُضِلُّواْ عِبَادَكَ وَلَا يَلِدُوٓاْ إِلَّا فَاجِرٗا كَفَّارٗاinnakaإنكإِنَّكَIndeed, You,inإنإِنiftadharhumتذرهمتَذَرْهُمْYou leave themyuḍillūيضلوايُضِلُّواْthey will misleadʿibādakaعبادكعِبَادَكَYour slaveswalāولاوَلَاand notyalidūيلدوايَلِدُوٓاْthey will begetillāإلاإِلَّاexceptfājiranفاجرافَاجِرًاa wicked,kaffāranكفاراكَفَّارًاa disbeliever.If Thou shouldst leave them, they will mislead Thy slaves and will beget none save lewd ingrates.For if You leave them, they will surely lead Your slaves astray and beget none but wicked disbelievers.Indeed, if You leave them, they will mislead Your servants and not beget except [every] wicked one and [confirmed] disbeliever."For, if Thou dost leave (any of) them, they will but mislead Thy devotees, and they will breed none but wicked ungrateful ones.
28 رَّبِّ ٱغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَٰلِدَيَّ وَلِمَن دَخَلَ بَيْتِيَ مُؤْمِنٗا وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِۖ وَلَا تَزِدِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ إِلَّا تَبَارَۢاrabbiربرَّبِّMy Lord!igh'firاغفرٱغْفِرْForgivelīليلِىmewaliwālidayyaولوالديوَلِوَٰلِدَىَّand my parents,walimanولمنوَلِمَنand whoeverdakhalaدخلدَخَلَentersbaytiyaبيتيبَيْتِىَmy house -mu'minanمؤمنامُؤْمِنًاa believerwalil'mu'minīnaوللمؤمنينوَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَand the believing menwal-mu'minātiوالمؤمناتوَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِand the believing women.walāولاوَلَاAnd (do) nottazidiتزدتَزِدِincreasel-ẓālimīnaالظالمينٱلظَّٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoersillāإلاإِلَّاexcepttabāranتباراتَبَارًۢا(in) destruction."My Lord! Forgive me and my parents and him who entereth my house believing, and believing men and believing women, and increase not the wrong-doers in aught save ruin.My Lord, forgive me and my parents, and whoever enters my house as a believer, and all the believing men and women, and do not increase the wrongdoers except in ruin.”My Lord, forgive me and my parents and whoever enters my house a believer and the believing men and believing women. And do not increase the wrongdoers except in destruction.""O my Lord! Forgive me, my parents, all who enter my house in Faith, and (all) believing men and believing women: and to the wrong-doers grant Thou no increase but in perdition!"

ﱣ ﱛ ﱜ ﱝ ﱞ ﱟ ﱠ ﱡ ﱢ
ﱫ ﱤ ﱥ ﱦ ﱧ ﱨ ﱩ ﱪ
ﱱ ﱬ ﱭ ﱮ ﱯ ﱰ
ﱷ ﱲ ﱳ ﱴ ﱵ ﱶ
ﱽ ﱸ ﱹ ﱺ ﱻ ﱼ
ﲂ ﱾ ﱿ ﲀ ﲁ
ﲐ ﲃ ﲄ ﲅ ﲆ ﲇ ﲈ ﲉ ﲊ ﲋ ﲌ ﲍ ﲎ ﲏ
ﲔ ﲑ ﲒ ﲓ
ﲢ ﲕ ﲖ ﲗ ﲘ ﲙ ﲚ ﲛ ﲜ ﲝ ﲞ ﲟ ﲠ ﲡ
ﲬ ﲣ ﲤ ﲥﲦ ﲧ ﲨ ﲩ ﲪ ﲫ
ﲹ ﲭ ﲮ ﲯ ﲰ ﲱ ﲲ ﲳ ﲴ ﲵ ﲶ ﲷ ﲸ
ﳄ ﲺ ﲻ ﲼ ﲽ ﲾ ﲿ ﳀ ﳁ ﳂ ﳃ
ﳏ ﳅ ﳆ ﳇ ﳈ ﳉ ﳊ ﳋ ﳌ ﳍ ﳎ
ﳠ ﳐ ﳑ ﳒ ﳓ ﳔ ﳕ ﳖ ﳗ ﳘ ﳙﳚ ﳛ ﳜ ﳝ ﳞ ﳟ
ﱨ ﱩ ﱪ ﱫ ﱬ ﱭ ﱮ ﱯ ﱰ ﱱ ﱲ ﱳ
ﱴ ﱵ ﱶ ﱷ ﱸ ﱹ ﱺ ﱻ ﱼ ﱽ ﱾ ﱿ
ﲀ ﲁ ﲂ ﲃ ﲄ ﲅ ﲆ ﲇ ﲈ
ﲉ ﲊ ﲋﲌ ﲍ ﲎ ﲏ ﲐ ﲑ ﲒ ﲓﲔ ﲕ ﲖ ﲗ ﲘ
ﲙ ﲚ ﲛ ﲜ ﲝ ﲞ ﲟ ﲠ ﲡ ﲢ ﲣ ﲤ
ﲥ ﲦ ﲧ ﲨ ﲩ ﲪ ﲫ ﲬ ﲭ ﲮ
ﲯ ﲰ ﲱ ﲲ ﲳ ﲴ
ﲵ ﲶ ﲷ ﲸ ﲹ ﲺ ﲻ ﲼ ﲽ ﲾ ﲿ
ﳀ ﳁ ﳂ ﳃ ﳄ ﳅ ﳆ ﳇ ﳈ ﳉ
ﱁ ﱂ ﱃ ﱄ ﱅ ﱆ ﱇ ﱈ ﱉ
ﱊ ﱋ ﱌ ﱍ ﱎ ﱏ ﱐ ﱑ ﱒ ﱓ ﱔ ﱕ ﱖ
ﱗ ﱘ ﱙ ﱚ ﱛ ﱜ ﱝ ﱞ ﱟ ﱠ ﱡ
ﱢ ﱣ ﱤ ﱥ ﱦ ﱧ ﱨ ﱩ ﱪ ﱫ
ﱬ ﱭ ﱮ ﱯ ﱰ ﱱ ﱲ ﱳ ﱴ ﱵ
ﱶ ﱷ ﱸ ﱹ ﱺ ﱻ ﱼ ﱽ ﱾ ﱿ
ﲀ ﲁ ﲂ ﲃ ﲄ ﲅ ﲆ ﲇ ﲈ ﲉ ﲊ ﲋ
ﲌ ﲍ ﲎ ﲏ ﲐ ﲑ ﲒ ﲓ ﲔ ﲕ
ﲖ ﲗ ﲘ ﲙ ﲚ ﲛ ﲜ ﲝ ﲞ ﲟ ﲠ
ﲡ ﲢ ﲣ ﲤ ﲥﲦ ﲧ ﲨ ﲩ ﲪ ﲫ ﲬ
ﲭ ﲮ ﲯ ﲰ ﲱ ﲲ ﲳ ﲴ ﲵ ﲶ
ﲷ ﲸ ﲹ ﲺ ﲻ ﲼ ﲽ ﲾ ﲿ ﳀ ﳁ ﳂ
ﳃ ﳄ ﳅ ﳆ ﳇ ﳈ ﳉ ﳊ ﳋ ﳌ ﳍ
ﳎ ﳏ ﳐ ﳑ ﳒ ﳓ ﳔ ﳕ ﳖ ﳗ
ﳘ ﳙﳚ ﳛ ﳜ ﳝ ﳞ ﳟ ﳠ
إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِ أَنْ أَنذِرْ قَوْمَكَ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِيَهُمْ
عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ ١ قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ إِنِّي لَكُمْ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ ٢ أَنِ اعْبُدُوا
اللَّهَ وَاتَّقُوهُ وَأَطِيعُونِ ٣ يَغْفِرْ لَكُم مِّن ذُنُوبِكُمْ وَيُؤَخِّرْكُمْ
إِلَىٰ أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى إِنَّ أَجَلَ اللَّهِ إِذَا جَاءَ لَا يُؤَخَّرُ لَوْ كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ ٤
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي دَعَوْتُ قَوْمِي لَيْلًا وَنَهَارًا ٥ فَلَمْ يَزِدْهُمْ دُعَائِي إِلَّا
فِرَارًا ٦ وَإِنِّي كُلَّمَا دَعَوْتُهُمْ لِتَغْفِرَ لَهُمْ جَعَلُوا أَصَابِعَهُمْ فِي
آذَانِهِمْ وَاسْتَغْشَوْا ثِيَابَهُمْ وَأَصَرُّوا وَاسْتَكْبَرُوا اسْتِكْبَارًا
٧ ثُمَّ إِنِّي دَعَوْتُهُمْ جِهَارًا ٨ ثُمَّ إِنِّي أَعْلَنتُ لَهُمْ وَأَسْرَرْتُ
لَهُمْ إِسْرَارًا ٩ فَقُلْتُ اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّهُ كَانَ غَفَّارًا ١٠
يُرْسِلِ السَّمَاءَ عَلَيْكُم مِّدْرَارًا ١١ وَيُمْدِدْكُم بِأَمْوَالٍ وَبَنِينَ وَيَجْعَل
لَّكُمْ جَنَّاتٍ وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ أَنْهَارًا ١٢ مَّا لَكُمْ لَا تَرْجُونَ لِلَّهِ وَقَارًا ١٣
وَقَدْ خَلَقَكُمْ أَطْوَارًا ١٤ أَلَمْ تَرَوْا كَيْفَ خَلَقَ اللَّهُ سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ
طِبَاقًا ١٥ وَجَعَلَ الْقَمَرَ فِيهِنَّ نُورًا وَجَعَلَ الشَّمْسَ سِرَاجًا ١٦
وَاللَّهُ أَنبَتَكُم مِّنَ الْأَرْضِ نَبَاتًا ١٧ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُكُمْ فِيهَا وَيُخْرِجُكُمْ
إِخْرَاجًا ١٨ وَاللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَرْضَ بِسَاطًا ١٩ لِّتَسْلُكُوا مِنْهَا
سُبُلًا فِجَاجًا ٢٠ قَالَ نُوحٌ رَّبِّ إِنَّهُمْ عَصَوْنِي وَاتَّبَعُوا مَن لَّمْ يَزِدْهُ
مَالُهُ وَوَلَدُهُ إِلَّا خَسَارًا ٢١ وَمَكَرُوا مَكْرًا كُبَّارًا ٢٢ وَقَالُوا
لَا تَذَرُنَّ آلِهَتَكُمْ وَلَا تَذَرُنَّ وَدًّا وَلَا سُوَاعًا وَلَا يَغُوثَ وَيَعُوقَ
وَنَسْرًا ٢٣ وَقَدْ أَضَلُّوا كَثِيرًا وَلَا تَزِدِ الظَّالِمِينَ إِلَّا ضَلَالًا ٢٤
مِّمَّا خَطِيئَاتِهِمْ أُغْرِقُوا فَأُدْخِلُوا نَارًا فَلَمْ يَجِدُوا لَهُم مِّن دُونِ
اللَّهِ أَنصَارًا ٢٥ وَقَالَ نُوحٌ رَّبِّ لَا تَذَرْ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ مِنَ الْكَافِرِينَ
دَيَّارًا ٢٦ إِنَّكَ إِن تَذَرْهُمْ يُضِلُّوا عِبَادَكَ وَلَا يَلِدُوا إِلَّا فَاجِرًا
كَفَّارًا ٢٧ رَّبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِمَن دَخَلَ بَيْتِيَ مُؤْمِنًا
وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ وَلَا تَزِدِ الظَّالِمِينَ إِلَّا تَبَارًا ٢٨
إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦٓ أَنْ أَنذِرْ قَوْمَكَ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِيَهُمْ
عَذَابٌ أَلِيمَ ۝١ قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ إِنِّي لَكُمْ نَذِيرَ مُّبِينٌ ۝٢ أَنِ ٱعْبُدُواْ
ٱللَّهَ وَٱتَّقُوهُ وَأَطِيعُونِ ۝٣ يَغْفِرْ لَكُم مِّن ذُنُوبِكُمْ وَيُؤَخِّرْكُمْ
إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٖ مُّسَمًّىۚ إِنَّ أَجَلَ ٱللَّهِ إِذَا جَآءَ لَا يُؤَخَّرُۚ لَوْ كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ ۝٤
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي دَعَوْتُ قَوْمِي لَيْلٗا وَنَهَارٗا ۝٥ فَلَمْ يَزِدْهُمْ دُعَآءِيٓ إِلَّا
فِرَارٗا ۝٦ وَإِنِّي كُلَّمَا دَعَوْتُهُمْ لِتَغْفِرَ لَهُمْ جَعَلُوٓاْ أَصَٰبِعَهُمْ فِيٓ
ءَاذَانِهِمْ وَٱسْتَغْشَوْاْ ثِيَابَهُمْ وَأَصَرُّواْ وَٱسْتَكْبَرُواْ ٱسْتِكْبَارٗا
۝٧ ثُمَّ إِنِّي دَعَوْتُهُمْ جِهَارٗا ۝٨ ثُمَّ إِنِّيٓ أَعْلَنتُ لَهُمْ وَأَسْرَرْتُ
لَهُمْ إِسْرَارٗا ۝٩ فَقُلْتُ ٱسْتَغْفِرُواْ رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّهُ كَانَ غَفَّارٗا ۝١٠
يُرْسِلِ ٱلسَّمَآءَ عَلَيْكُم مِّدْرَارٗا ۝١١ وَيُمْدِدْكُم بِأَمْوَٰلٖ وَبَنِينَ وَيَجْعَل
لَّكُمْ جَنَّٰتٖ وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ أَنْهَٰرٗا ۝١٢ مَّا لَكُمْ لَا تَرْجُونَ لِلَّهِ وَقَارٗا ۝١٣
وَقَدْ خَلَقَكُمْ أَطْوَارًا ۝١٤ أَلَمْ تَرَوْاْ كَيْفَ خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ سَبْعَ سَمَٰوَٰتٖ
طِبَاقٗا ۝١٥ وَجَعَلَ ٱلْقَمَرَ فِيهِنَّ نُورٗا وَجَعَلَ ٱلشَّمْسَ سِرَاجٗا ۝١٦
وَٱللَّهُ أَنۢبَتَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ نَبَاتٗا ۝١٧ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُكُمْ فِيهَا وَيُخْرِجُكُمْ
إِخْرَاجٗا ۝١٨ وَٱللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلْأَرْضَ بِسَاطٗا ۝١٩ لِّتَسْلُكُواْ مِنْهَا
سُبُلٗا فِجَاجٗا ۝٢٠ قَالَ نُوحَ رَّبِّ إِنَّهُمْ عَصَوْنِي وَٱتَّبَعُواْ مَن لَّمْ يَزِدْهُ

وَنَسْرٗا ۝٢٣ وَقَدْ أَضَلُّواْ كَثِيرٗاۖ وَلَا تَزِدِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ إِلَّا ضَلَٰلٗا ۝٢٤
مِّمَّا خَطِيٓـَٰٔتِهِمْ أُغْرِقُواْ فَأُدْخِلُواْ نَارٗا فَلَمْ يَجِدُواْ لَهُم مِّن دُونِ
ٱللَّهِ أَنصَارٗا ۝٢٥ وَقَالَ نُوحَ رَّبِّ لَا تَذَرْ عَلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ مِنَ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
دَيَّارًا ۝٢٦ إِنَّكَ إِن تَذَرْهُمْ يُضِلُّواْ عِبَادَكَ وَلَا يَلِدُوٓاْ إِلَّا فَاجِرٗا
كَفَّارٗا ۝٢٧ رَّبِّ ٱغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَٰلِدَيَّ وَلِمَن دَخَلَ بَيْتِيَ مُؤْمِنٗا
وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِۖ وَلَا تَزِدِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ إِلَّا تَبَارَۢا ۝٢٨
ﱨ ﱩ ﱪ ﱫ ﱬ ﱭ ﱮ ﱯ ﱰ ﱱ ﱲ ﱳ
ﱴ ﱵ ﱶ ﱷ ﱸ ﱹ ﱺ ﱻ ﱼ ﱽ ﱾ ﱿ
ﲀ ﲁ ﲂ ﲃ ﲄ ﲅ ﲆ ﲇ ﲈ
ﲉ ﲊ ﲋﲌ ﲍ ﲎ ﲏ ﲐ ﲑ ﲒ ﲓﲔ ﲕ ﲖ ﲗ ﲘ
ﲙ ﲚ ﲛ ﲜ ﲝ ﲞ ﲟ ﲠ ﲡ ﲢ ﲣ ﲤ
ﲥ ﲦ ﲧ ﲨ ﲩ ﲪ ﲫ ﲬ ﲭ ﲮ
ﲯ ﲰ ﲱ ﲲ ﲳ ﲴ ﲵ
ﲶ ﲷ ﲸ ﲹ ﲺ ﲻ ﲼ ﲽ ﲾ ﲿ
ﳀ ﳁ ﳂ ﳃ ﳄ ﳅ ﳆ ﳇ ﳈ ﳉ
ﱁ ﱂ ﱃ ﱄ ﱅ ﱆ ﱇ ﱈ ﱉ
ﱊ ﱋ ﱌ ﱍ ﱎ ﱏ ﱐ ﱑ ﱒ ﱓ ﱔ ﱕ ﱖ
ﱗ ﱘ ﱙ ﱚ ﱛ ﱜ ﱝ ﱞ ﱟ ﱠ ﱡ
ﱢ ﱣ ﱤ ﱥ ﱦ ﱧ ﱨ ﱩ ﱪ ﱫ
ﱬ ﱭ ﱮ ﱯ ﱰ ﱱ ﱲ ﱳ ﱴ ﱵ
ﱶ ﱷ ﱸ ﱹ ﱺ ﱻ ﱼ ﱽ ﱾ ﱿ
ﲀ ﲁ ﲂ ﲃ ﲄ ﲅ ﲆ ﲇ ﲈ ﲉ ﲊ ﲋ
ﲌ ﲍ ﲎ ﲏ ﲐ ﲑ ﲒ ﲓ ﲔ ﲕ
ﲖ ﲗ ﲘ ﲙ ﲚ ﲛ ﲜ ﲝ ﲞ ﲟ ﲠ
ﲡ ﲢ ﲣ ﲤ ﲥﲦ ﲧ ﲨ ﲩ ﲪ ﲫ ﲬ
ﲭ ﲮ ﲯ ﲰ ﲱ ﲲ ﲳ ﲴ ﲵ ﲶ
ﲷ ﲸ ﲹ ﲺ ﲻ ﲼ ﲽ ﲾ ﲿ ﳀ ﳁ ﳂ
ﳃ ﳄ ﳅ ﳆ ﳇ ﳈ ﳉ ﳊ ﳋ ﳌ ﳍ
ﳎ ﳏ ﳐ ﳑ ﳒ ﳓ ﳔ ﳕ ﳖ ﳗ
ﳘ ﳙﳚ ﳛ ﳜ ﳝ ﳞ ﳟ ﳠ
